forget it, the outdoor unit can be heard at our main house over 35 metres away! The installer commented after installation how noisy the outdoor unit was and I seriously believed from the noise that the unit had to be damaged or faulty. A service technician from Panasonic has since attended and said it was operating within normal parameters which I don't believe as none of my other units sound anything like this one! This particular unit is NOTHING like any online descriptions and will be unusable due to the noise, so with the unit and installation costs I basically have a $2500 garden ornament.
