Impossible to clean
I purchased in August 2019, and use it only as a microwave. However, I find it IMPOSSIBLE to clean the ceiling of the microwave. Throughout winter we heat soup, and even though we use cling wrap to cover the bowls, it often bursts thru the cling wrap, and then hits the top of the microwave. The top has 3 fluorescent type globes and a wire cover so you cannot access to top to clean the splash contents off the globes or ceiling. Also the back wall is of a composition that does not assist cleaning. I have had probably 6 microwave ovens in the past, and never one as bad as this for cleaning.

I like it
I previously owend the Kmart Micro/Convection Oven and while it was okay, this is so much better on a number of levels.
It has better convection heating and the maximum temperature is 250 degrees. It has a temperature setting for proving bread. I haven't used it yet but plan to. I cook my roast potatoes in the oven on really high and can get great potatoes in about an hour.
I don't use the preset functions so will not write about those.
Yes, there is a condensation build up if you use the microwave, I cook my porridge in the microwave ...on low and by the end there is condensation build up which does drip out when you open the door but I wipe it up and then turn the oven on to 250 degrees for 5 minutes to dry out the oven. On the down side, the viewing window is not very bright so if you have the sun in your eyes or the sun on the window, it is difficult to see. The light within the oven is not very bright in my opinion.

Spacious and good for reheating buns
I have Breadtop buns every day as breakfast. It takes too long to heat up the buns with my big built-in oven. This microwave is very good in warming up the buns and pizza as well. It takes about 10 minutes. The buns are like freshly baked. It is very spacious inside and with a long plate, I can warm up 6 buns for the whole family in one go. However, I didn't use it for baking potato or chicken. The microwave function is good as well. The previous one last for about 7 years and I replaced the light bulb once. When it was broken down last ...year, I bought another brand. Regretted. Then replaced it with this Panasonic model again. Will not try other microwave oven in future. On the other hand, the price is considered quite expensive. Therefore, I think the manufacturer should offer at least two years' warranty instead of one.

Very slow and uneven cooking
The microwave function is a lot slower than other models I’ve had in the past. The controls are intuitive to use but that’s about the best I can say of this appliance. The grill is so slow as to be virtually useless and the combination cooking takes far longer than the instruction manual says. A baked potato should take about 14/15 minutes on auto cook, but it’s still raw at the end of cooking and so I have to put it back in for a second, third and even a fourth time - which means it actually takes about 45 mins to 1 hour - and even then the s...kin still isn’t crisped. Also, the door becomes incredibly hot during combination cooking. I had thought this would make a good replacement for my old Sharp grill/oven/microwave with turntable which lasted me 10 years and cooked a great baked potato in 12 minutes, but the Panasonic is really disappointing and I now only use it for microwaving because it’s so unreliable for anything else. This means that it’s a now just a big expensive ‘microwave’ taking up a lot of space in my kitchen. I plan to replace it ASAP, and I’ll research the different makes much more thoroughly next time. Maybe all flatbed inverter combinations just don’t cut the mustard, I don’t know, but I’ll avoid them in future. This review was ‘in mediation’ for at least a month but as I’ve heard nothing in response from Panasonic, it’s now being published without waiting any longer.

Door dropped in first week, Had to go for repair. cooking anything with water content causes so much steam Water runs out the door, weight defrost cooks your food, after 30 years of cooking in microwaves this is a absolutely useless and not fit for use. It is so slow to do anything it’s a waste of time and energy. I’ve been in touch with Panasonic and the keep fobbing me off. Saying all microwaves produce steam, this is a river flowing out the door. It’s not normal.

Can't live without it!
I bought this combo microwave/convection oven to save energy on turning on our large 900mm gas oven just for small amounts of baking.
I now find I can't live without this! It is perfect for baking cakes, biscuits, roasts, pies etc just as well as any regular sized oven, I just find that you have to add on some degrees ie if recipe says 180 I will set this to 190-200 degrees.
I find it heats evenly, and bakes and grills perfectly.
Since buying this about a year ago I would say I have used my regular oven only once!

Sadly my Panasonic NN-CF770M died last night. It is 5 years old and the second one I've had in this time. The first one had to be replaced within 6 months of purchase asit kept breaking down. As it was an expensive item $900, I'll will get a quote to see how much to repair. I would not purchase another one. I have found the microwave part is quite slow compared to just an ordinary microwave.

Good value for the price
I bought this microwave after having had a dismal failure with another brand which had to replaced twice in less than 3 months because of faults with the turntable which just stopped working. This appeared to be the only true flat bed inverter convection microwave available at a reasonable price and so far I'm happy with its performance. The convection component works well and cooks evenly, although it does require a little experimentation to ensure cakes etc, are fully cooked. Have generally had to add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.

Love this oven
Had mine for over 5 years and never had a problem with it. I use it as a microwave and as a full time oven. If it ever wears out I will be getting another one.

Absolutely love it
Love this oven - can put large casseroles and platters due to lack of turntable. it's relatively quiet, looks handsome in the kitchen, super easy to clean and very powerful. Only had it for a month so can't say how long it will last, but I definitely recommend it to busy families.

The Panasonic flatbed microwave is excellent. Having no turn table makes fitting different shaped dishes in the cooking cavity easy. Heat is distributed evenly so cooking is even. Placing and removing items is easier as no tray has to be allowed for. The controls are simple to use.
It is a good kitchen appliance.
Heap of crap
We have had this microwave for only 3 years and it’s died with a H97 error code. Even when it did work it was terrible. It was very slow and cooked unevenly. Eg. Two minutes to heat a cup of milk. This model is a heap of crap. Stay away.
Questions & Answers
what is the difference between NN-CF770M and NN-SF574SQPO .Peter
I think NN-SF574SQPO is for heating and defrosting. It doesn't have the baking function which NN-CF770M has. If you don't need to bake things, NN-SF574SQPO should be fine. But if you need to warm up pizza, buns and croissants or bake a cake etc, you need the NN-CF770M which has the convection function. I found it quite expensive for this extra baking function for the NN-CF770M model. You can easily buy a small oven to warm up pastry stuff at $100+. However, having microwave and the convection oven in one appliance saves space in my kitchen. Hope this helps.
Hi Peter, You can also call our customer service team on 132600 and they can help you and explain the difference's.
The light does not turn off when I close the door. I have to open and close the door or half press the button to open the door to try turn off the light.
Note I cannot start the microwave if the light is on. I presume it is because the microwave thinks the door is open.
Can this be fixed?
I have never had this issue. My light bulb was off but I still can use it. I am afraid it is not the light bulb issue. It's not cheap to repair it. Sorry to hear that. That's why I think the manufacturer should give longer warranty as it is not cheap.
Yes it can be fixed, please give our customer service team a call on 132600.
