More than month later I have notified by PayPal money has been returned which I still waiting to see on my Bank statement. I’m suspicious that company received replacement and new router which now selling for $70.00 more. In beginning they didn’t want payment with PayPal but they use to refund it. Something is not right with Pcbyte and they business avoid to deal with this people there is no explanation what happened there is no email nothing. Good luck whoever deals with them.

Incompetent & Dishonest – Warning - avoid this company at all costs. They sent me a faulty DLink Mesh System - and I contacted them within 2 hours of receiving & unpacking to request refund. Instead of doing the right thing they jerked me around for a solid 6 weeks - first promising to refund me if DLink agreed a refund was warranted (which DLink did straight away), and… Read more

then they just started outright lying claiming they'd not heard back from DLink they were still awaiting other information like RMA Numbers. I eventually contacted DLink to ask what was going on & they confirmed PCByte were informed to refund me straight away, RMA had been provided weeks ago and they'd contacted PCByte several times (without response) to get information for the refund. Luckily, the staff at DLink offered to take care of the entire thing for me (out of embarrassment for my dishonest treatment from the retailer) and are providing full refund directly and reimbursing me for return postage without us having to wait for PCByte to stop being dishonest and sort it out. Anyhow, incompetence and poor service are one thing, but the amount of dishonesty from PCByte takes this to a whole different level. I've bought a lot of PC hardware from a lot of places in past 30 years & never seen anything like this. Reading through other reviews for PCByte it appears I'm definitely not the only one that's received faulty goods and been screwed about. These people are crooks & I'd suggest everyone avoids dealing with them.

Horrendous. Item was supposedly handed to couriers. It has ping ponged back and forth between Adelaide and Melbourne for over 2 weeks. They will not respond to queries about the issue. Note - Also trades as umart.

Avoid! Fault products and non-exist customer service! – I purchased a computer with warranty from PC Byte 19/11/22. It broke down late December 2022, I contacted them on 2/1/23 to start the warranty process. After some back and forth, it was finally sent back on 27/1/23. 13/2/23 I sent an email asking for an update. 16/2/23 Depp (Their representative) responded saying that the GPU was faulty and it… Read more

was being sent back for repair.

9/3/23 Depp offered a free upgrade of the GPU. I agreed to the offer but asking for a different brand since the original brand failed me after 2-3 weeks of use.

14/3/23 He emailed saying that they rescinded the upgrade offer as they had the same model GPU in stock as the original. I responded to make sure that either I got the same PC back with my data on it or else to have it erased if they were going to replace the PC.

15/3/23 He responded that he needed to check with his team.

27/3/23 He emailed he would send out a replacement and to confirm my address. I confirmed.

31/3/23 I received a package from PC Byte containing only a GPU not in its original packaging. I emailed them, stating that I sent back my computer for repairs and only received a GPU instead. At this point, I suspected that they were going to just replace the broken GPU in my computer with a used one considering the "replacement" they sent by mistake was not in its original packaging. He said there was a misunderstanding in their team and that they would send my computer after I sent back the GPU. I was unhappy with the service and asked for a refund.

6/4/23 I received my computer after he ignored my refund request. It arrived damaged and missing its power cable.

I asked for a refund again. He is refusing, blaming it on the courier.

He insists on a replacement even though I only want a refund. He has now changed that it can only be repaired. It has been 4 months since the warranty process started. I only used the PC for 2 weeks. I do not want to have replacement and have to go through warranty with them again. I just want refund.

Disorganized ,bad business! Avoid if don't want too much headache – On 24/11/2022, I ordered a CPU, motherboard and a cooler bundle. It returned back to them twice . The address was my usual address which I always receive by post without any issues. When I checked the tracking saw that the address was truncated at the end. Calling them is not an option so send them an email and told them about the issue . They… Read more

said they will fix and resend it . However, address issue was not fixed , send as is and returned back to them again. They send me an email that they will refund be . it was on 13 December 2022. Asked them several times to process my refund at least. They claim they cannot get the confirmation that it has been returned to them. On the Au post tracking site , it is stated as returned to the sender.

It has been almost 2 months and no one has given me any feedback, no refund, yet

I wonder whether the departments are communicating with each other or any manager is checking what people are doing in PCbyte.

Very disappointing experience, avoid them.

Excellent service – I purchased a motherboard and CPU from here for the first time. I would rate it 0 if i could – First set of beats headphones arrive faulty, they did not charge or power on. Return for a replacement which has also arrived with the same fault. After awaiting almost 5 months we were finally able to get to a reasonable conclusion – This is in reference to my earlier review: https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/4d166e0e-fae7-5413-a326-66bf0f8f2db1 This RMA is in regards to x2 Graphics Cards that ended up being faulty - no longer powering on. Graphics Card). Even though my issue has been resolved it is still somewhat disappointing to encounter an extremely long waiting time to process an RMA, let alone the Refund as according to them they are awaiting for the Manufacturer/Supplier to provide the decision when the ACL clearly states that the Consumer has the right to demand a Repair or a Refund for a Product failing to function altogether.

Before I was able to get a hold of the Refund, the manufacturer was actually able to provide Replacement Units (x2 Graphics Cards). However one of the Graphics Card was faulty upon receiving it and by then I was already waiting for 3 months without a fully working solution. I have told PCByte how I am already losing trust in this Brand (PNY) and do not foresee the other Replacement Unit to last its' expected lifespan.

As of now the other Graphics Card is working and I hope it has been repaired to fully function as intended as I would not be surprised if this were to fail out on me within the next few years.

the staggering amount of bad reviews, this company loves taking their customers for long winding rides. Consumer rights association should be ripping their license just by looking at this page. Sales service and prices ok.... Aftersales service somewhat lacking – 7 weeks ago, after a bit of faffing around, I sent my faulty GPU back to PCByte. transfer, apparently, the GPU has disappeared.

The customer support team is based offshore, has no effective teeth and seems, to me, to be there to act as a roadblock to finding any resolution to customer problems.

7 weeks and counting....

UPDATE: Sept 23:

This update results from questions regarding the eventual outcome of my claim:

In May 2023, PCByte eventually came through with a replacement - but in my opinion, the process/outcome was far from what it should have been.

PCByte reached out some days later and requested I update my review. The update is below - and I guess the take-away is: be careful what you wish for....

Before you start your RMA process with PCByte, get pictures of the unit situated in the computer. Take lots of clear images of every inch of that Graphics Card: Front, sides, back, top and bottom, and all the edges. Also, all the connectors and leads. Also, grab video evidence of the unit failing and images of any dialogue pop-ups (if any). Why: Because PCByte claimed to have lost my card - after confirming it had arrived at their facility. I had to email and call several times before they eventually "found" the card. Some days later, they reported they had inspected the card and found damage which they claimed was "customer induced" and that they were deeming the warranty voided. I demanded to see images of the "damage" and received a close-up image of a couple of digs in the side of the PCB. I referred them to the images I had previously captured (and sent to them, during the long, long RMA process...) and I heard no more about the "damage"

I have two theories regarding the damage: 1) They believed the damage was genuine and, therefore, breathed a sigh of relief and dismissed the claim (even though the card had - in their words - been sitting under a "unsorted stock stack" for weeks in the warehouse; 2) The damage was intentional, and designed to minimise their liability (I have no proof of this, and I am not accusing PCByte of intentionally trying to mislead...)

Several times during the wait for a resolution, PCByte offered to settle with a 2nd hand, and inferior, 6900xt. I never figured out why: After all, they hadn't yet agreed my card was replaceable under warranty, so it did seem odd that they offered to settle. I can guess why but, again, I'm not going to make accusations.

When, finally, they agreed the warranty claim, they told me there were no replacements available (despite still advertising the exact same card for sale on their website...). they AGAIN offered me the inferior 2nd-hand product from a different manufacturer. I refused the offer and requested PCByte refund the original cost of the card. This was almost double the replacement value at the time, and I'm pretty sure this is why they offered a New-in-the Box upgrade to a 6950xt. I accepted the offer, as I really wasn't out to punish them and wanted a card back inside my computer.

Personally, I have found this all very a disappointing, but inevitable, outcome: Disappointing because we all expect (or hope...) companies will behave honourably when confronted with issues with products they sell for a profit. Inevitable because PCByte are located a long way from me and were able to make it an exceedingly difficult and frustrating to deal with them via email and 3rd party "Roadblock" customer support team members, who sent me many many "warm regards" but very little else.

I have no intention of purchasing anything from this company again. I simply cannot risk another product issue and another encounter with the "Customer Care Team"

Disappointing aftermarket support – I purchased a $600 vacuum. It failed at 14 months. Atrocious warranty claim process – Our business bought a computer from pcbyte and it failed after 6 months. It would just turn itself off randomly. Most likely a power supply issue. pictures of the issue. So i sent them a picture of the turned off pc. And the pc restarting. Like how will that help them? They then recommended I reinstalled windows, which I had already done. I told support I wanted to speak to their supervisor. Only then was I sent the RMA. I posted back the computer a week ago and received a courier sms they had delivered the pc. They have had the computer 3 days now and not a word from them. So i rang support, Guess what, overseas American accent and barking dogs in the background. Likely a persons home in the Philippines. He refused to say where he as located. They tried to say they only received the pc yesterday. Which means it sat in a third parties receiving dock for a day and half before the repair technicians picked it up. A further wait while they tried to talk to the repair technicians. "They are still assessing it" Do not buy from this company if you have a need for a quick turnaround for business. Pay the extra 30% and get next business day on site support from a major brand
