Great premium and love being able to make my own changes on the web portal. Also, happy with the excess buster product meaning I don't pay an excess in the event of a claim.
accident involved other party fault, and i gave driver detail and car rego of the other car, but PD said they can not help as i don't have other party's insurance company detail.
also they say 24/7 help but i could not lodge claim on weekend, and they said call back in 24 hours after online lodgement, no call back instead long time hold to make a call.
Nasty PD insurance - should not be trusted
I need help or advice from anyone who have experienced a similar issue as mine.
I switched to PD insurance just this year. They denied my claim without even looking at or reviewing the required documents I was writing up about my stolen car - which stated all relevant details and information that an insurance company should consider.
They use completely unlogical and difficult processing systems which disregard all their client's problems.
This is honestly the worst insurance company I have signed up with and I urge people to not sign up with this company because they leave you feeling infuriated and confused.
Does anyone have any advice or solutions in regard to my issue?

Stay away from this insurance company
We are with this company for the last 10 years and now we needed to make a claim and they treated me like a criminal for logging the claims. They demanded my 5 years driving history as well my partner 5 years driving history. I was the one involved in the accident. It has been a month since the accident and they are still accessing the claims.
It is better to pay a bit extra and go for a different company that treats you like a customer, not a criminal.
We are going to cancel our policy soon and go for a better one.
Premium double for no reason
I've had my car insured for 7 years with PD and have always found them to be great. I was set up for auto renewal and my annual policy this year was billed at $4,060 up from $1,960 last year. I phoned and they re-quoted over the phone at $3,300 and couldn't tell me why it went up so much. I cancelled on the spot and was able to set up a policy with another provider for $1300. I always through PD was good value but this renewal was a total joke!
Hi I was unlucky enough to hit a Roo on a major highway in South Australia. Every panel on the drivers side was impacted and it was clear from this moment that the car 2008 model would be beyond economic repair. I lodged an online claim and had a claim number straight away. I was asked to take the car to a nominated repairer as it was still drivable. As we are in the country they didn't have a nominated repairer and agreed that we could use the local RAA approved agent. A few pictures of each panel from us, scanned reg docs DL and drivers histo...ry 2 phone calls, them to us to check details and settlement with money in the account in around 21 days. Couldn't have been any more straightforward. I was expecting a bit of back and forth but agreed value is what we got, quickly, with no messing around. Top work people.
Beyond one star- considering taking further
Policy went from $56 per month to $89 for no reason. When queried they agreed and changed it back down to $67- sent me a amended premium certificate with $0 premium. I emailed and rang back to explain their mistake. Gave me another quote $79. Could not communicate with each other. Updated my address 5 times with them. Kept sending my personal information to other address. Asked for call back and contacted support- no response. Ended up going with someone on shore here in aus. Policy was so simple. Spoke to team at pd and put in writing that I h...ave changed providers and would be canceling my account with them. Still kept hassling me for payments. Spent 12 hours on the phone in total trying to get them to cancel my account. Hand balled to people offshore who did not care one bit about customer care. Thought it has been fixed however just received another email stating I have been banned to take up another policy for failure to pay. - also pd took out monthly payment 3 times in one month “by accident” and also money back from increasing fee without contact to almost double for 4 months. Was promised a refund however it was never received. Could I be any more clear as to what a con job they were! Thank god I didn’t have to claim anything I doubt they would actually pay up.
Cancelled my policy today
I have been with PD Insurance for many years with 3 cars on the Policy. I thought it was a bit pricey after they changed underwriters but stayed with them. December my son hit a Kangaroo and the car was collected. I had to keep phoning to get an update. At one call they said they were waiting on info from the salvage yard. A week later I rang and they said "oh they don't have the key" I said the tow truck driver had it 2 weeks earlier. Why didn't they check with me. I then received a renewal invitation and I rang them as the policy was so h...igh asking about dates from my partners old claims which should not have been on the renewal - they took them off and it was reduced by $400 if I hadn't rung they still would have charged me. I have changed to another Insurer and the policies are much cheaper. Oh and I had a hire car on my policy which they hadn't offered until I rang after emailing them and not receiving a reply. I should have been offered the hire car immediately and not 3 weeks later when I asked for it. So I finally received my payout 6 weeks after the incident. Such bad service.
Pure Disaster it is
The one and only factor that qualifies an insurer is, what happens in the event of a claim. PD does not have a product to sell. You are better off self insured at least you will not be made to run around doing the job of the company you are paying to do it.

I have comprehensive insurance with these guys. Recently was taken out by a truck and driver of the truck taken full responsibility for the accident. PD decided that they will write the car off but hang on wont pay me out as i have had a suspension 5 years ago. Well PD is i come to your house and break your leg because your a moron is it your fault or mine. DO NOT insure your car, home or anything with these freaking morons.
The policy was good value. Cheaper than everyone else in the market for me. I also got a phone call from a lovey lady who was very informative and couldn't do enough to help me.
I have been with this company for a while. I initially signed up with buzz car insurance, but it was changed over a few times. We have 2 cars insured with them and unfortunately 1 of our cars was involved in a not at fault accident. I didn't expect the process to be so difficult, we had to do a lot of the running around and chase up paperwork which I thought would be the job of the insurance company. We also had to pay an excess for the accident which was disappointing as it was a not at fault accident. We did have the excess reimbursed once th...ey got access to the police report. If you pay monthly, you also have to pay the remaining annual insurance left on the policy. Our car was a write off and unfortunately I realised I cannot replace my car for the amount we were insured for. I look after my cars as reliable transport is important to me, I went looking for a similar car and to replace it would cost me double of what the car was insured for. We are out of pocket badly after this accident. Also being in metro Melbourne has made it impossible to test drive and buy another car, so I've been without a car for 6 weeks. I'm overall very disappointed with the situation...what's the point of paying for insurance if you're not properly covered.

I had to make a claim this year after getting caught in a hailstorm. I claimed online, they called me the next day, had to send through photos then organised a time to be taken in for an estimate. Their repair centre was about an Hr away from me so a little bit annoying but was all quoted in about 15 minutes. I was ably to take my car to my preferred repairer who was able to get me in straight away. Had no issues whatsoever. I’ve just purchased a brand new car and they were cheapest by miles. Received a a call from a rep and also had the windscreen/window insurance added to my policy. Hopefully I won’t have to claim in the future but for my own protection I also have a dash cam installed

I called Friday afternoon and got my dad a policy told the lady I spoke to that I was for my dad and she said it was fine. They deducted the money from my account straight away and said they will send me a email with the policy so I didn’t get the policy number (I wasn’t home) and paperwork so I gave them my email address. Less than 24 hours later still no email. Called them back to be told they will not resend it till they talk to my dad. My dad does not have a voice box due terminal cancer. Speaking to my dad was not an issue till now they ha...ve my card details my email address and my mobile number on the policy but I cannot get a emailed copy of the paper work which they promised to send. To add on to it I was told I can email my complaint and was put on hold so the customer service rep can get the email address and they hung up on me or it cut out. Not happy will renew my dads policy and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Can’t even hold a simple promise they made to send paper work to my email. Waste of time b

PD insurance offers very competitive price vs all other insurers and by reading some comments here I decided to take a massive risk to go with them however my experience proves that here is no risk at all.
A truck hit back of my car and refused to provide his insurance details as there was no damage to the truck, i then asked PD insruance to help me and they did it with no excess from my side. All claim was done within one week and they paid cash into my account and i paid to the smash repairer by myself. Very good experience and I will keep recommending to others.
Better off with no insurance than with PD
They will lie to you over the phone and give you misleading information. also will not place all notes in system. Don't care about you and will rip you off eye to eye. they take your money without authorisation. Instead they will increase the price thinking they are the only insurance company available. I can write more but it is time wasted already. Avoid Avoid Avoid this company should be investigated. 0% customer service 0% value 100% rip off

I had a car accident On 26/01/2020 and till this day in 08/2020 I am still finding resolution in my car repairs from a car accident - disgraceful PD - utterly embarrassing for you !!!

I was not at fault and engaged my insurance company - PD - for support through the process. The repairs were not successful and when I debated the repairs to my car they fought me - hey PD you nit wits - RAC are paying for the repairs not you.. why are you arguing with me - y...ou should be supportive. Worst Insurance company ever!! They have no idea how to process claims, manage claims or how to successfully handle disputes. Take my advise everyone - don’t go there - save yourself from unnecessary drama and arguments over your rights ! They don’t care about you.. they just want your money !

Save yourself the time, money and mental health. This company should not be able to call themselves an insurance company. They are not interested in covering you, only in taking your money. I had the most dreadful experience when I had to make a not at fault claim, once my claim was made they spent more time looking into my history to find a reason not to cover me. I drove around with a very damaged car for well over a month and a half and they were not concerned whether it was safe or not to be driving the car. They also make you do all the wo...rk In terms of finding a repairer. P.D. has all the info on hand for all your previous driving claims and they choose to hold onto this information and use it against you later. Seriously save yourself the stress, not worth it one bit, I’d rather pay $1000 more annually then deal with this horrible company that has even worse customer service. Save yourself!

Avoid using this company. Yes it is cheap but the hassle you have to go through when an accident happen is not worth it. I have been with PD for the last 5 years. An accident happened few days ago and I was not at fault. Instead of helping me to contact the third party insurer to sort out repair, I was asked to do it myself which was not what I thought it would be. My understanding on the usual procedure is my insurer will assist to follow up with the third party insurer. When I asked for further clarification, the claim agent started to raise her voice and yelled at me. Customer service is non existence. I had to call the third party insurer myself to sort out the repair. Will change insurer after this experience.

yes they send an email advising you that the renewal fee will automatically be deducted from your nominated acc/ c/card about two or three weeks beforehand and to check the details and make any changes if need be

I don't use twitter and I am concerned your company is a scam as I cannot speak to any one and if I ever have an insurance question how can I speak to anyone.
