Great premium and love being able to make my own changes on the web portal. Also, happy with the excess buster product meaning I don't pay an excess in the event of a claim.
The policy was good value. Cheaper than everyone else in the market for me. I also got a phone call from a lovey lady who was very informative and couldn't do enough to help me.
I have been with this company for a while. I initially signed up with buzz car insurance, but it was changed over a few times. We have 2 cars insured with them and unfortunately 1 of our cars was involved in a not at fault accident. I didn't expect the process to be so difficult, we had to do a lot of the running around and chase up paperwork which I thought would be the job of the insurance company. We also had to pay an excess for the accident which was disappointing as it was a not at fault accident. We did have the excess reimbursed once th...ey got access to the police report. If you pay monthly, you also have to pay the remaining annual insurance left on the policy. Our car was a write off and unfortunately I realised I cannot replace my car for the amount we were insured for. I look after my cars as reliable transport is important to me, I went looking for a similar car and to replace it would cost me double of what the car was insured for. We are out of pocket badly after this accident. Also being in metro Melbourne has made it impossible to test drive and buy another car, so I've been without a car for 6 weeks. I'm overall very disappointed with the situation...what's the point of paying for insurance if you're not properly covered.

I had to make a claim this year after getting caught in a hailstorm. I claimed online, they called me the next day, had to send through photos then organised a time to be taken in for an estimate. Their repair centre was about an Hr away from me so a little bit annoying but was all quoted in about 15 minutes. I was ably to take my car to my preferred repairer who was able to get me in straight away. Had no issues whatsoever. I’ve just purchased a brand new car and they were cheapest by miles. Received a a call from a rep and also had the windscreen/window insurance added to my policy. Hopefully I won’t have to claim in the future but for my own protection I also have a dash cam installed

I called Friday afternoon and got my dad a policy told the lady I spoke to that I was for my dad and she said it was fine. They deducted the money from my account straight away and said they will send me a email with the policy so I didn’t get the policy number (I wasn’t home) and paperwork so I gave them my email address. Less than 24 hours later still no email. Called them back to be told they will not resend it till they talk to my dad. My dad does not have a voice box due terminal cancer. Speaking to my dad was not an issue till now they ha...ve my card details my email address and my mobile number on the policy but I cannot get a emailed copy of the paper work which they promised to send. To add on to it I was told I can email my complaint and was put on hold so the customer service rep can get the email address and they hung up on me or it cut out. Not happy will renew my dads policy and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Can’t even hold a simple promise they made to send paper work to my email. Waste of time b

PD insurance offers very competitive price vs all other insurers and by reading some comments here I decided to take a massive risk to go with them however my experience proves that here is no risk at all.
A truck hit back of my car and refused to provide his insurance details as there was no damage to the truck, i then asked PD insruance to help me and they did it with no excess from my side. All claim was done within one week and they paid cash into my account and i paid to the smash repairer by myself. Very good experience and I will keep recommending to others.
Better off with no insurance than with PD
They will lie to you over the phone and give you misleading information. also will not place all notes in system. Don't care about you and will rip you off eye to eye. they take your money without authorisation. Instead they will increase the price thinking they are the only insurance company available. I can write more but it is time wasted already. Avoid Avoid Avoid this company should be investigated. 0% customer service 0% value 100% rip off

I had a car accident On 26/01/2020 and till this day in 08/2020 I am still finding resolution in my car repairs from a car accident - disgraceful PD - utterly embarrassing for you !!!

I was not at fault and engaged my insurance company - PD - for support through the process. The repairs were not successful and when I debated the repairs to my car they fought me - hey PD you nit wits - RAC are paying for the repairs not you.. why are you arguing with me - y...ou should be supportive. Worst Insurance company ever!! They have no idea how to process claims, manage claims or how to successfully handle disputes. Take my advise everyone - don’t go there - save yourself from unnecessary drama and arguments over your rights ! They don’t care about you.. they just want your money !

Save yourself the time, money and mental health. This company should not be able to call themselves an insurance company. They are not interested in covering you, only in taking your money. I had the most dreadful experience when I had to make a not at fault claim, once my claim was made they spent more time looking into my history to find a reason not to cover me. I drove around with a very damaged car for well over a month and a half and they were not concerned whether it was safe or not to be driving the car. They also make you do all the wo...rk In terms of finding a repairer. P.D. has all the info on hand for all your previous driving claims and they choose to hold onto this information and use it against you later. Seriously save yourself the stress, not worth it one bit, I’d rather pay $1000 more annually then deal with this horrible company that has even worse customer service. Save yourself!

Avoid using this company. Yes it is cheap but the hassle you have to go through when an accident happen is not worth it. I have been with PD for the last 5 years. An accident happened few days ago and I was not at fault. Instead of helping me to contact the third party insurer to sort out repair, I was asked to do it myself which was not what I thought it would be. My understanding on the usual procedure is my insurer will assist to follow up with the third party insurer. When I asked for further clarification, the claim agent started to raise her voice and yelled at me. Customer service is non existence. I had to call the third party insurer myself to sort out the repair. Will change insurer after this experience.
Withdrew money from my account for a second year of policy without authorisation!
I used PD for my insurance In 2019. This year I decided to go with a different insurer who I got a better quote from. Without warning PD withdrew $714 from my account to renew my policy with them- I did NOT purchase a new policy with them nor did I authorise payment after my initial one 12 months ago!
If you insure with this company then expect to do all the running around on their behalf, providing a comprehensive incident report with photos, pay up front, provide a licence history check despite filling out and supplying the legal forms for them to obtain it themselves, and wait indefinitely to finalise claims.
Very unfair policy
I have a current insurance policy with them, this year I bought a new car and wanted a cover policy so I could simply drive it home. They do not offer cover policies so I was told to add new car to existing policy. Within the 14 day grace period I found a better deal and requested I get a full refund from the new car. They refused to give full refund (even though was only 9 days) as the new car had been added to the existing policy so they were taking the date from the policy, not the date I added the new car. So cost me $40 for 9 days insuranc...e. They have lost me as a customer. Not transparent, I was not told this is how their system worked. I would have taken out a brand new policy if I had been given ALL the information. Don't deal with them.

Not having heard of this company before their TV advert I thought I would get a Comprehensive Car Insurance quote for my BMW to compare it to the company I am with. Using the same criteria the results were truly UNBELIEVABLE.

Customer Service Needs To Up Their Game - Perhaps Some Training On How To Speak To Customers
Returned a missed call from PD Online. Discussed my automatic policy renewal, and flagged that I was surprised that I received a COC at 11:05pm, many hours after funds (and an increased premium) had been deducted from my account. I spoke with a gentleman, who said that I received an email on 28/03 advising that my premium was increasing - when in fact the email was to notify of a "Change of Underwriter". While admittedly I did miss the attachment on the email (with an increased premium), there was no mention in the email itself of my policy r...enewal or an increased premium. I flagged this with the gentleman to which I received the response of "I don't know how to make this any more clear... we only have a small call center... you can cancel your policy if you want". Text of email copied below, where not once does it mention my policy renewal or an increased premium. "Going forward, your insurance policy will be underwritten by Pacific International Insurance Pty Limited. You can review the combined Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide here, and your Certificate of Insurance is attached for your convenience. If the details in the Certificate of Insurance are correct and you would like to continue your cover with PD Insurance, you don't need to do anything. Payment will be automatically processed using your payment details as previously provided. Should you have any questions regarding any of the information contained in this notice, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org We welcome the opportunity to continue being of service to you."
Don’t ever use this insurance company
This company is not helpful at all in the event of you their client needing to make a claim. Received notification from another company of a small fender bender ( not my fault). No damage to my vehicle even but damage to theirs. Had to pay insurance excess up front obtain and provide license history and claims information up front or they won’t action anything. Still waiting on outcome but indications are won’t get my excess money back. Frustrating time consuming and treated like a criminal for stopping and rendering assistance on a not at fault bump.

What's the point of this company?
They don't help you. It seems like they make their customers do all the work that they should be doing. Would not recommend. Definitely worth spending a dew extra dollars to get actual cover.
Policy was cancelled after making a claim when we hit a kangaroo
At first they said ok get windscreen repaired which we did then they told us that they were not informed of a provisional licence and cancelled all policies on 4 cars we had insured with them
Had to pay for winscreen repair ourselves and didnt bother to repair other panels
They did refund the policy value which had only just been renewed
Then they totally stuffed up and reimbursed us for the previous years policy too

PD insurance aka progressive insurance is a company from hell. I had glass cover in my policy. I had my car broken into. They refused to pay for the repairs as they said and I quote, "we will go broke if we have to pay for broken windows" end quote. I had to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket. I gave them a second chance. Then in February I was involved in a car accident a general fender bender that was was not fault, and to be honest not the fault of the car that hit me. As it wouldn't of happened if it wasn't for the idiot in the fast l...ane. It took 3 weeks for to get my claim sorted. They tried to get out of providing a rental car even though I pay for it in my policy. They NEVER call you back. You have to chase them. It gets worse, I caught them red handed bullying my panel beater. They demanded that my panel beater to repair my car as cheaply as possible, with all cheap parts. They bullied them to the point that the panel beaters were at a lost. They were so badly treated and bullied that when they found other damage they made repairs at their expense as they refused to speak with them after their poor treatment. Pd insurance flatly denies this and called the panel beaters liers. They avoided pay fees by paying me, then me to pay the panel beaters. They treat their clients very poorly. Stay away from them.
Worst organisation experience ever
Claim made against me in I am not at fault accident. Spent 5 hours so far dealing with processing and I have to pay excess up front for claim from a third party to be processed. No damage to my vehicle at all. I am supposed to be their customer/ client and they should be representing me. Probably won’t be my excess back now they have money.
