Wouldn’t recommend – My elderly parents used this company for a new pergola and paint job. The paint job was absolutely terrible with big patches left untouched. afternoon, they arranged for the painter to come back, however they also proceeded to ask for full payment before the job was finished. I had to plead and convince my parents not to pay the rest until the job was completely finished.

Although the painter returned, the job was still so poor that my dad had to finish it off and they negotiated some money off the full bill (only a very small amount). While the pergola structure was good, I would never recommend this company to anyone due to the drama with the terrible paint job for such a high cost and the demand for full payment before the job was finished.

I will never deal with this company again in my lifetime and would not recommend to my family, friends or my worst enemies for that matter!

capable engineer and builders who made the necessary adjustments to our extension while under construction, have successfully created this additional space during the later stages of our renovation. Nothing was too much trouble for them to make this area functional and would pop out at any time at our request to adjust the remote controls to our satisfaction.

the build but nothing major, builder was a smoker and left his cigarette butts lying around and a few uneven deck boards were all rectified before completion. Then a fortnight ago after a heavy downpour of rain some leaks appeared and after speaking to two people on the phone directly and leaving a message on their answering machine we are still waiting.

I would never recommend them or use them again and I suggest people stay clear.

Excellent huge change in making a house a home with entertainment – Love inviting people home to show case our entertainment area. It's changed the way we live and the value of the property substantially.

Pergola Done And Put Up By Karim Pergola's – Just had my new pergola put up by Osman Karim . What a wonderful job look great and the cost was great as well. Osman and his team were on time and put it all together in 2 and half days. Very happy with finished product.

Still waiting – Actual construction and clean-up done in good time. However leakage several times since completion and two phone calls to the company have yielded no response.

Don't use Pergolas of Distinction - should be called Pergolas of Deception – I totally agree with your comments. Unfortunately I have read them too late. concerns where it attached into our roof. When asked for detail of the costs I was advised it included $500 for engineering fees which would be deducted if not required. When we finally received our sketchy plans (late July), I requested an architect be in attendance at the next meeting. They were going to "fiddlefit" this pergola until the architect explained how it SHOULD be done. More emails and and an additional cost of $900 which included flashing to the connection of roof tiles and polycarb. This took our pergola cost to $10,000. Their tradie (excellent) had to interpret and work out how to make the plan work. Then came time to pay and I deducted the engineering fees and paid the balance. No, I had to pay the fees as they were required for council and silly us - we paid. When I requested a copy - they were GENERIC and I could have got a free copy from council l!!!!!. I found this out later when I approached council as I could not get a response to my request to "add the flashing which they had quoted for" By the way the work was finally finished mid October (4 months later) Here it is February 2016 and council have issued them with a "non compliance" letter and a meeting was agreed to by POD but guess what...no show. No apology, no text message, no letter. I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. They are top heavy with management and staff and light on tradespeople.

March 3rd 2017 Update: Pergolas of Deception -

Followup to our original review posted in February regarding Pewrgolas of DECEPTION....another month on and still no reply. It would appear they do not respond to customers once the account is paid, they don't respond to council "non compliance letters" So I consider it will be Consumer Affairs.

replaced 3 times and involved numerous emails and onsite meetings. Work was done in a piecemeal fashion, with delays occurring due to incorrect ordering of building supplies. Initially, the tradespeople didn't clean up well either. They left sharp pieces of metal and nails on the ground and stained the pavers.

My recommendation is that you seek out family or friends that have had a pergola built recently. If they were satisfied with both the service delivery and the construction, then ask who the tradesperson/s were that did the work and contact them.

Wrong ridge cap installed for conditions – Tades people awesome!! But the brains of the operation not so. Water leaks along ridge beam tremendously when wind over 30km/h due to wrong ridge cap. Apparently all roofs leak like that so bad luck!

Great product and service – After 8 years of umming and arring about putting up a verandah at the rear of our court yard home we finally decided to go ahead so you can understand we were REALLY concerned to get the right product. We found the staff very helpful and concerned that we got a good job. Also appreciated that there was no swearing, blasphemy or smoking on site.

Would highly recommend them.

Ripped Off – Poor workmanship, overpriced, cut corners. Didn't build to plans they submitted to council. Would not respond to complaints and concerns. Save yourself the grief, go to a professional. Wouldn't and haven't recommended them to anyone.
