Excellent in every respect, always there when you need them – PetSecure is extremely reliable and very prompt in processing claims. They are also very good at communicating the receipt and progress of claims. We have been PetSecure clients since the mid/late 1990s and we have never looked elsewhere. Just got renewal increase....VERY VERY expensive and not willing to consider help with premium – Used to be good and reasonably priced but now VERY expensive. complain when its goes up 5% in a year. These guys want to charge me almost what I pay for a family top level hospital health policy - that's ridiculous. I just called them because the renewal letter said to call them to discuss if you were considering cancelling the policy and got transferred from one person to another who basically told me exactly what the first person told me (why I was transferred I don't know because the second person was absolutely no help whatsoever). I only get 75% on claims back and their solution was to reduce my cover to Accident only. I told them I'm not interested in reducing level of cover when I already have exclusions and only 75% cover. I've been with this company for many years with different policies including previous dogs and this is the first time I questioned a policy increase (thought about it but as per probably most people never got round to it so I expect they think they can just continue increasing it regardless). That's probably one of the most annoying things - you remain loyal over the years and then when you ask them to reconsider one renewal increase they baulk. I'm just really disappointed in them.

Never had a problem – We adopted a 5 year old rescue dog almost 4 years ago now and signed up to Pet Secure about 3 years ago. Pet Secure very quick and easy. I signed up knowing that when she passes on that we're obligated to continue payments until the end of the 12 month contract period, but apparently that's a common thing with pet insurance. Really the only draw backs we've had are: 1) when initially signing up over the phone I mentioned to the operator I had seen a reference on the web site to a discount for rescue dogs. The operator hadn't heard of it and instead of finding it put me on hold until I could find the code on the site to give her. 2) I personally find the site very difficult to deal with. Tonight when lodging a claim I've had to re-log in at least 15 times and use 2 different browsers. Initially it didn't like Chrome and kept giving me an error then auto logging me out, then I got half way through the claim in Edge before it did the same, so went back to Chrome where I finally finished the claim. This is a common occurrence no matter if I use Chrome, Firefox, Edge or some lesser well known browsers. Not having had pet insurance elsewhere I can't comment on how prices compare but I believe the price is extremely good considering how much we've received back in claims.

Thank goodness for pet insurance – This year I have had 3 separate incidences where one of my 5 pets has required expensive emergency veterinary care and/or surgery. than 5 working days. Whenever I have called the office, the staff have always been understanding, friendly and helpful. Each time a furry member has been added to my family, the set up of insurance for them has been simple and painless.

Nobody anticipates something terrible happening to a much loved pet, but when it does, I know that I am supported by Petsecure. I have never had to argue about a claim, wait extended periods of time for payment or discovered 'hidden' clauses where a veterinary procedure has not been covered by the policy.

I have had policies with other providers in the past and have been disappointed every time. I now only ever recommend Petsecure.

Speedy review and compensation – Our pet who has been a member of petsecure for 9 years had extensive vet treatment which required detailed documentation to be submitted before a decision was made. Rip off, don't look after long term customers – Persecute have paid the few times I've claimed, but the premium went from $50 to $70 then last year when Polly turned 11yrs it went to $135 per month and this year they now demand $169 per month. unjustified huge increase in the premium – I don't know nor understand how they calculate the price of premiums but considering original price definitely huge increase and don't even bother keeping their customers so im going somewhere else much cheaper and better. Show details

Such a necessary part of owning a pet – I feel very comfortable having Petsecure as I have a dog with ongoing health issues. No Issues – Have been with PetSecure for 8 years and recently had to make multiple claims for my sick pug. Each claim was dealt with quickly and they provided prompt communication as to the lodging, progress and conclusion of each claim. Great company. Been with them 10 years. Never had a problem – I’m more than happy with the policy. Easy to set up. Claims are resolved very fast these days. Usually back in my bank within days. the insurance cover the same as annual vaccinations are as this is a preventative to major health problems that can occur if not attended to straight away.

On initally submission was declined a refund however once I explained that it was an accident and not routine follow up, a refund was provided.
