I bought the HR7778 food processor model only 3 years ago in Australia. Was never told it would be discontinued so soon after purchase. I need to replace the drive axel and found out model is discontinued and cannot find from anywhere. Am I expected to throw away and replace whole unit? More than $600 Aud I feel this is an absolute fraud and very upset. Only need a small part or make the whole thing work.

Is Phillips part (mixing bowl) number 996510060717 EAN: 7091206457357 suitable for model HR7778?
Hi Ildi, thanks for inquiring! The mixing bowl for the HR7778/03, is indicated with the following 12-digit code: 996510070034. So perhaps you'll be able to find it that way! If you need our help further, don't hesitate to reach out to us on 1300 363 391 or contact us through external link .

What extra accesories does it have? Or are there any other compatible?

How do you remove the bowl on a Phillips Food processer?
Hi, Jan. The bowl should be able to come off by twisting it counter clockwise and lifting it, because there is a safety lock feature on the motor unit that keep the machine from turning on without a bowl. If this doesn't work, please don't hesitate to reach out to our consumer care colleagues on 1300 363 391 if you're in Australia, or 0800 658 224 for New Zealand. Hope this helps. :)

Hello Elize, thank you for reaching out to us. Nice to hear that you have started trying out the juicer too, it's quite unfortunate though that it stopped working now. Could you please make sure if the lid, bowl, and screw cap are completely closed? Please also check if the bowl, screw cap, jar and lid are assembled correctly as well. You will hear a "click" when they are assembled correctly. We hope this helps, so you can finish making your apple juice. If not, please feel free to contact us through 1300 363 391 so we can assist you further.
Grrahul, we would like to thank you for your reply as well. We are sorry that you feel this way. If you need help with anything, please know that you can reach out to us through the phone number mentioned above anytime.

My Philips HR7778 processor does not turn on following a spillage a few days ago. Please help! Thanks HMGIW
You need to take it to a repairer or buy a new one. Maybe try drying it for a few days before trying to turn it on again.
Thank you. We did wait for several days but haven't had much luck. By any chance are you aware of the repairers in Adelaide? Thanks
Thank you for your question, Amethyst. We think it might be best to get in touch with our customer support directly about this on 1300 363 391. They will be able to suggest the optimal location for service and help you with claiming your warranty as well, if that’s still applicable. However if you would like to contact a service centre directly, we do have some suggestions on which service centres might be able to help you best: external link It might be a good idea to contact them about this prior to bringing your food processor in for service. Good luck!

Does anyone else have issues with the slicing and julienne discs for the HR7778/03? I cannot get them to cut veggies evenly. I end up with some tiny bits, some huge, some completely mangled. Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong. As far as I can tell I am following the instructions. I have tried using different speeds between 1-5 (as per the instructions).
Also, I find that because there are gaps between the slicing disc and the feeder, and also between the slicing disc and the edge of the bowl, some parts of the veggies 'escape' through these gaps and don't get sliced at all.
I just got this for Christmas, after much deliberation over which brand to buy! I hope I haven't made the wrong choice. Before I go ahead and leave a terrible review I thought I should ask around. : )
Hi Anna. I really never used the julienne disc, so am unable to help you. When I made coleslaw or slices I just used the slicing disc and it sliced perfectly. There is a trick to getting to go high or lower (as I found out). I must of had it not quite rightly fitted and it has worn away the top part a bit, however, all else was excellent, only for me I needed a more powerful motor and I have that now. Get in touch with company rather than put up your issue as they are excellent at customer service. Good luck Elaine
Hello Anna, congratulations with your HR7778/03! What an amazing Christmas present to receive. :) We must even admit that we’re a tad jealous. It is unfortunate to hear however that the experience with the julienne cutter isn’t up to par with your expectations as of now. We do recommend getting in touch with us directly to assist you further. You could reach us on the following phone number: 1300 363 391.
Kind regards,
The Philips Australia Team
Hi there. Thanks for your reply. I've had greater success with the discs since my first post. It's still not fool proof, but if make sure to put the veggies in place first, press down on them firmly, then turn on the food processor, I get mostly even cuts.
I still think the design of this model could be improved to minimise wastage and runaway veggies though. Maybe something to consider for the next version, Philips. I'll be sure to get in touch if I have further issues.
Thanks!
I am relocating and I would like to know how I can pack my food processor back in its box. I have the Philips HR7778/03. Thank you!
Hi Joyce, thanks for reaching out. Good to hear your favourite kitchen buddy can join you in your new kitchen. We can imagine packing all the parts can be a hassle. We’ve put so much effort in packing it for a safe trip to you and here we are packing the processor again. The best we can advise is packing parts that fit together in one box and protect them from moving during the trip. Styrofoam can be of great help here, and otherwise pillows could also help. Fitting al the parts in the same box as it came in is quite a challenge, so spreading parts over multiple boxes seems a good solution. We wish you a good relocation and hopefully you can enjoy your processor in your new kitchen soon!
Kind regards,
The Philips Australia Team
