kind of archaic telco billing practice customers should be afraid of: easy to sign up, but costly and confusing when you try to leave. It is not like someone is coming out with a screwdriver to physically disconnect the service, or sitting there for 30 days with their finger hovering over a disconnect button.

A “no lock-in” service should not mean being charged for another month after cancellation. The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman has identified post-cancellation charging and 30-day cancellation notice periods as unfair and unreasonable, and Pineapple Net’s approach feels like a perfect example of that problem.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Pineapple Net to anyone.

i've gone sometimes to this internet provider given my address from year to year never supplyies Perth or wa. At least they can tell us on there front page they do not supply which states.

Be very careful with this service. They require 30 days notice even if the new person is moving in much less than that time (inside lengthy terms and conditions). Speed is good but you have to wait half a day for installers who then put it in my bedroom instead of the lounge like I asked and then tell you that you have internet and if you want it moved then you have to pay more.

ensure everything was operating as promised before they left, and followed up afterwards to ensure there were no issues. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will certainly use them again. In fact, I'm ramping up the speed on my other services with them now!

CGNAT - Port Forwarding Beware – They use a CGNAT and do not provide a free option for port forwarding. No IPV6, no opt out to have a standard dynamic IP without CGNAT. On their support page they say they can support dynamic DNS however as they do not support IP addresses, it is useless without purchasing static IP. The only option is to pay an extra $9/month on top of the standard rate for a static IP. Show details

Great internet, excellent for gaming – Low latency (1ms ping), symmetrical speeds and really an exceptional price when compared to everyone else in Melbourne. After doing some research, it was also the only company offering full fibre to my apartment. It was a pretty simple choice in the end. it harder to get to the end point which is next to the phone line. Once everything is installed, I have been very satisfied with the overall performance for the price I am paying. So far I have been with them for 8 months and have not come across any issues yet.

transparent about the exact amount—just that the technician would charge 60 AUD for every 15 minutes. I canclled but not only they did not refund my money they also put my cancellation date for a month further based on their policy and they charged me for another month. So I was charged twice for a service that I did not use. I think it’s clear how they operate. Avoid working with them. Seriously, steer clear of businesses like this.

plan (you have to give 30 days notice) my speeds have gone from 90mbps (should have been 150 off-peak) down to 50mbps. Dont know what game they are playing at, like a child sulking because I chose to play with somebody else. DGtek are the internet providers and own the fiber infrastructure they work with other retailers so I would shop around. Dont think Pineapple are the only ones that service your building. Go to DGtek website and see who they partner with.
