Never buy any container from this company
I bought a container on the 5th of November which was never delivered. I made phone calls, text messages and email but the container was never delivered. At one time I called, I was not told when the container will be delivered. At another time they thought the container was already delivered. I finally texted them and told them if they don't get back to me on that day to confirm when the container will be delivered, I will call my bank and get a refund. They did not get back to me so I called my bank and they refunded my money. Very unreliable, not honest.
I shopped around for a 40ft Shipping Container and found that Port Containers offered the best price for their product, and as delivery to site was also the cheapest compared to all other companies, I chose to proceed.
I was sent photos of my container upon request, and was told to take note of the Serial No. of the item in the photo as this will be the one delivered.
The photos looked great, and likewise the Container when delivered.
Transport was arranged swiftly and the Transport Company rang me with delivery time. It arrived within the time...

Continual delivery delays and failure to refund.
I got a quote, was happy with the quote so paid for it and booked it in.
I rang a few times and emailed to make sure they had been delivered. No response.
I then drove 1000km to pack up everything into the containers that were supposedly onsite 5 days earlier. Get there, not on site.
Because I had to vacate the property (a winery) that weekend, I then had to hire a truck and move everything to multiple locations.

Ordered container on 14th to be delivered on 17th. Money was taken immediately from my bank. ($460.00)
I phoned and canceled order on 15th, after realizing it would be impossible to get on my front lawn. (Not due to be delivered till 17th, so 2 days notice.) Wayne was nice about the cancellation and said a refund would be credited to my bank account. Waited a week, no refund. Phoned again and Wayne said he would find who was responsible for my account and I quote "Get them to do their job properly" Waited a few more days, still no refund....
Would not use this company, no after sales service
Container delivered with dents on every surface, not fit for purpose(storage)as unable to hang anything the length of any inside wall due to indentations. Unable to even attach verandah due to dented roof collecting water. Company refuse to answer calls and emails, would not recommend this company to anyone.

I applied online for a quote for 5 containers and got nothing. Yesterday Connor called me, I missed his call and called back. When I explained about the quote I am after he asked if he can call me back in 5 minutes and I said yes. He didn't call all day. This morning he called again and I missed the call, when I called back he said that he was not working on this quote...why call me then? So much effort and still no quote. I am not in a hurry for it but such poor service ahead of the sale gives me enough doubt to rather go elsewhere.

Shipping Container Supply and Delivery
Many thanks to Darren for his help with supplying and delivering our two containers. Aside from being quick, easy, and uneventful, the price was excellent. The delivery driver from Falcon Container Transport was incredibly helpful in placing the boxes exactly where we wanted them. Top job!!

From first contacting the company for a quote, then to them beating the best quote of another company, to organising the delivery within seven days by a very skilful driver, I have nothing but praise for Port Shipping Containers in Sydney. All contact with the staff was done in a most professional, courteous, friendly and efficient manner. Have spoken to and shown a neighbour about my container and he is looking at buying one also. I am very happy in relation to the purchase.

Pre-paid $7150, Port never delivered, Money refunded only after threatening them with action.
For three weeks I negotiated with [name removed] (State Manager for Sales) for a new build green H/C sea container no dents. On 25 Oct 2018 [name removed] emailed me that they had current stock "latest batch in top condition...OK to guarantee no dents". On 26 Oct 2018 [name removed] told me he would arrange for me to be sent a Proforma Invoice (green, guaranteed no dents) for $7150 (incl. GST) to be paid in two days and he asked for proof of payment which I sent to him on 28 Oct 2018.
Port Shipping Containers didn't deliver, and [name remove...d] didn't respond to me until 20 Nov 2018 when he emailed me saying "have not forgotten you - we are chasing new builds with no dents". After 4 weeks of waiting I asked for a refund, then [name removed] offered me a blue one instead, which I refused and I demanded the refund. [name removed] said the refund had to go through the Finance Officer, but "your funds should be back in your bank account Mon or Tuesday" which was more than a week later. On Wed 28 Nov 2018 I spoke to a lady at the governmental department of consumer protection (DMIRS) and they advised me that this was a major breach of the contract, and they offered to assist me if I needed help. I then sent an email to [name removed] at Port Shipping Containers stating that they had breached the contract, and I demanded my refund be received by close of business on 30 Nov 2018.
Won't even return my calls or emails
After leasing a 20ft container for several months, I completed to 'off hire documents' for the container to be picked up. However the day before it was due to be collected I contacted Port via email, then followed up early the next morning to advise I needed to delay collection to enable some of my heavy furniture to be removed. I was advised by the National Director all would be okay and that I'd have about 48 hours to get it sorted and this suited me. However to my shock and dismay, when I arrived at the site a few hours later, the locked con...tainer which still had my loose furniture and heavy goods inside had been taken. The container was returned to me several days later, at my additional expense, although upon opening, much of my goods were damaged and hadn't been tied down as agreed. Numerous follow up calls and emails have not resolved the situation and I've been ignored. A formal complaint has now been lodged with Office of Fair Trading Qld.

Container built exactly to my needs!
We have recently acquired a 20ft container from Port Shipping Containers, with utility door, whirl type extractor with vermin proof ventilators, painted white on outside, bush green roof, and black antirust paint on the underside.
Delivery was 300km from Sydney with a truck with crane, so as to get it into place on already prepared pylons that were not conveniently placed.
We are very happy with the quality of the container delivered and the service provided by Port. Sometime next year we will probably buy another container with similar specs from Port.

Excellent company to deal with. Not sure what the other reviewers below are going on about - looks like they are talking about a complete differently company that is listed. I went to there depot in Mayfield and picked out my container and had it delivered that afternoon! Had it placed exactly where I wanted it and everything. I don't think I could have asked for better service - 10 out of 10!

Really bad experience
Purchased a shipping container and paid in full ( $2500 inc delivery) - failed to be delivered as promised. When i contacted company they blamed the transport company, but then just started ignoring my phone calls, blocked my email - I only found out they had gone into liquidation after contacting fair trading. Sad thing is this director goes under so many business names - should not be allowed to trade at all! They knew they had sold me a container they did not have and were never going to deliver! I have been told by liquidators i am unlikely to get my money back.
This should not be allowed to happen - what is the meaning of fair trading!!!
Damage to property on Delivery
We hired a shipping container from "Port Container Services" in Dec 2015 for storage while we renovated. Despite me being present when the container was delivered, the driver managed to demolish a brick post during this delivery. Various promises were made to fix this after we had the container removed. We had the container removed early in 2017 after we had finished renovation. If I hadn't been present at the time of removal, the gate and perhaps the other post would have been damaged or destroyed.
When I contacted the company to find out ...when the repair was to take place, i was directed to a delivery contractor (RSR Tilt Tray) who would not answer his phone or return any calls. On returning to the container company I was only now told that : "This will need to be taken further on your end as that is the subcontractor we use and he is not complying. The company PORT CONTAINER SERVICES who this went through has gone in to liquidation. Please contact RSR direct for this matter." That's it! So "Port Container Services" has been rebirthed as "Port Shipping Containers", with the same e-mail, phone number and the same contact person. I will now contact my insurance company but I don't imagine that this will be fun!
