Poor workmanship, poor customer service.
Had two small onyx stones put into my ring at a cost of $199. One of the stones came out. It was taken back to store and I was told it was " only glued in" and the warranty was only six months ( it lasted about ten months)$199 for a bit of glue that wouldn't stick? Being an aged pensioner, I can't afford another $199

Embarrasing Customer Service
Today I went to look at some jewellery at Prouds Whitford City Hillarys WA. I tried a few rings on and couldn’t see anything that really appealed and so I was undecided, at no point had I considered actually purchasing at this stage, when the sales assistant checked on a price for me and she returned she asked to see my ID! the manager looking at me I looked back at her questioning why and shook my head! Why would you need my ID? I was surprised and felt targeted. At this point I continued to look, then I became angry and decided I would no...
Read moret be buying here. So unwillingly I showed my ID looked a bit more and left. I found the whole experience embarrassing and will not return to this store again. They should be ashamed of themselves. At no stage was there a need for them to see my ID. I rang Westfield Management and reported the situation.MariaSydney, NSW
Complaint
Last sunday (14th of Feb) in the afternoon around 4pm. Me & my partner went in to Prouds Hornsby Store looking for a anniversary ring. They were three staff members busy chatting loudly, did not even acknowledge. The other staff member looked around, and we’re hoping she will come to us and ask if we needed some help? Nope, Still being ignored! So,we decided to walked out and bought the ring at Angus & Coote instead. Did not happened just once, been in few occasions that staff member just simply walks by and can’t even say Hi or Hello!

Waste of $229
Bought an anklet which broke within a month. Returned it and they replaced it with another which broke within 10 days. Unfortunately this time I couldn’t find it. Went in store to explain this and they were unhelpful. Waste of $229

Great Cus Service
I went into prouds parramatta on Saturday and was greeted delightfully by Store Manager Abu. I was not sure what i was looking for at the timebut when i did Roshni went above and beyond to show me pieces of rings, earrings necklaces and I ended spending more than $900. Roshni has previously served me and this was months ago but she remembered me just from the piece of jewelry i bought and said u got yeh whole set!!!! Anyway the whole experience from start to finish was amazing! The shop was busy Roshni serviced me all the way through until my payment. We chatted alot and i was so happy with my purchases. She knows her jewelry & jargin well. Good work Roshi and team at Parramatta.Regards Shaheen

Wedding set repaired 3 times and broken again
Engagement ring has had the diamond cluster snap off the metal ring 3 times and has now happened for the 4th time. Ready to ask for a refund or swap for the value paid. Have tried to call head office and get hung up on. Have been to other jewellers to have it evaluated and they say their is defiantly a fault. Prouds don't think they can find a fault bit clearly this ring is not wearable.

Customer service - zilch
I was the only customer in the store and with 2 assistants you would assume I would be getting some decent service. The first lady did ask if I needed help or was happy browsing - I was after some in particular so she pointed to where the item would be. Where happened to be where the 2nd sales assistant was standing. No hello, no how are you? I had to do all the talking. She just stood there making me feel rushed to make a decision in what I was after. In the back of my mind I was thinking I should look at other stores as I was really getting ...
Read moreno advice, no help at all. That’s exactly what I did. I went to another store and received great customer service, the girls were beyond helpful and lovely. I won’t be returning to Prouds. Good customer service goes a long way.MissyPerth, WA
Ripped off
I was advised by a staff member at Angus & Coute as to the best wedding & eternity ring to match my engagement ring (bought at Prouds). On her recommendation I agreed. 2 years on I lost a found from my wedding ring. 2 days later I found what looked to be my missing diamond. I was amazed I had the prism shape at the bottom & all the right cut shape at the top of it, it also fit in my ring perfectly. I took it to Prouds to get it placed back in my ring. After 2 weeks I got told I was lucky I found it & quote for it to be placed back in & cleaned...
Read more - checked $120. I said go ahead. A week later I got a call saying it was not a diamond but a piece of glass, new quote $370. (Or they could out the piece of glass back in my ring)!! Angus & Course & Prouds are same company. Either Prouds is lying about my diamond or I was sold a ring with glass advertised as diamonds. Either way someone is lying to me. When I find out I will fight for what's right!!! Disgusted with bring lied to & sales people being rude & dismissive.Eseta.

No customer service
Went to look for earrings . No one else in the store , there were two assistants. No one asked if I needed assistance . One assistant was sorting out jewellery where I was looking .. even asked her to move it out of the way so I could see in the cabinet . Walked out after a few minutes with no one speaking to me . Aaarghhhhh!!! Is their business doing so well there is absolute no need for customer service!!! How rude .

Be Very weary of shopping at prouds
My partner bought a diamond bracelet on Saturday afternoon for my birthday the following day, when he gave it to me Sunday morning the bracelet was to small and wouldn’t close on my wrist. We went back to prouds to see if we could get a larger one but they had nothing over a 19 in bracelet for within the $500 price range. So the sales person tried to push us to buy earnings rings necklaces , when we said no that’s not what we wanted, and we would like a refund, she said NO we don’t do refunds we can only exchange or give a credit, when my partn...
Read moreer said you did not advise me of your policy when I purchased she then proceeded to point that it was on the bottom of the receipt, when my partner said that’s a bit late when you’ve already taken payment shesaid that’s our policy. After leaving the store absolutely appalled at what had just transpired, I went back to see where there refund policy was situated in store, as it is a legal requirement for it to be placed at eye level, when I asked where it was as I couldn’t see it displayed she pointed to the front counter where it was stuck at waist height, and anybody paying for a purchase there would block it from everybody else’s view. When I pointed this out she went and rang her manager again and then said we will refund you. So after totally ruining my birthday this could have been avoided with a refund at the start will never ever shop at prouds again just an appalling company.cvinerPerth, WA
Bureaucracy over customer service
Like many others, I have had a terrible experience. I purchased a signet ring for my daughter as a special Christmas gift – with the view of it becoming a special keepsake she could keep and hand down to her daughter.
I was assured by the assistant at the time of purchase I could return the ring for the correct size if it did not fit. NOT TRUE!!! I specifically asked if this was possible as I did not want to have the ring cut and sized as they always break over time when you have to do this. I would have waited and taken my daughter shopp...
Read moreing with me. I had to pay an additional $35 to get the ring sized, and have been told there will be a minimum of a three-week wait. To rub salt into the wound - the exact size we wanted was in the store – because they got my daughter to try it on to check it fit!! Thanks Prouds for making what was supposed to be a special moment one that was full of additional expense – but even worse – disappointment from a young woman. It makes me wonder if the assistants are paid commission and do anything to get a sale - even if it means lying to a customer. I will never buy anything from Prouds ever again (and neither will my daughter).Catpud

Extremely bad service.
I received a pendant for christmas, which although was very pretty, it was not something that I myself would ever wear.
So, christmas morning I opened this lovely little box and saw a pretty humming bird pendant encrusted with tiny little pink and lilac Swarovski crystals. I instantly knew that i would never wear it, and so I asked the person who gave it to me if they would mind returning it for a refund, which they were more than happy to do.
So, on boxing day we head off bright and early to Prouds in Warwick (Perth WA) and hand over the i...
Read moretem still in it's box exactly as it was purchased, hadn't even been tried on or worn, and ask very politely for a refund as I wouldn't ever wear it. I had barely finished speaking when the sales assistant 'Christine' snapped ''we don't do refunds!" I was dumbfounded, she could see it had not even been removed from the box and she still refused even though I tried to explain that i don't wear jewellery.....no rings, earrings...no jewellery at all, and she just glared at me and said ''we have a no refunds policy''. Christine then went on to try and get me to swap it for a jewellery box or a teacup???? (a teacup!????) or some other item from the store. I told her very politely that i didn't want anything else from the store and I would just like a refund please.Find out how Prouds compares to other Jewellery Shops & Brands

Poor customer services
My 14 year old son bought me a watch for Christmas but unfortunately my wife also purchased a watch elsewhere.
Staff did not explain the return policy to my son and now he has a useless gift card, instead of his hard earned cash back.
They say the policy is of the receipt?!?! Alot of good that does as you only see the policy after the purchase!!!! To late.
If you are able to rate 0 i would.
Very versatile bad service
Don't go they sell dodgy jewellery took 12 weeks to fix my watch got it then the battery went flat got refund had to fight for it....you will have a bad experience. Once you buy there jewellery they don't wont to know you

Cheating, selling fake stones as real, absolutely disgusted by their conniving refund policy.
My husband bought me some blue sapphire jewellery from Prouds Macquarie Park store today. I was shocked when I opened the pack and saw we were ripped off due to his lack of jewellery knowledge & store sales person ignorant attitude. My husband asked for blue sapphire and she just didn't bother to mention that its created sapphire that they are selling instead of real and won't tell unless you ask if its real or fake. He wasn't told that its fake stone and he spent more than 750 dollars thinking such a big reputed store won't lie or atleast tell...
Read more before selling if it was fake. The pieces were not worth more than $100. We went back on same day in matter of an hour or so and the store manager denied to refund. We kept telling how we have been deceived and that we wanted natural stones. She kept repeating they have no refund policy and gave us gift card instead worth 760 dollars. Who uses 760 dollars on fakes. They have few natural stones or so they say but they don't provide any authenticity certificates for those. I could easily see scratches on stones they say are natural and real while its very hard to scratch real sapphire or diamond stones. They have few options of very low quality diamonds of clarity K, L, M and below for that too they don't provide authenticity certificates, they ask to pay and get certificate by their external vendor. Another attempt to fool us asking us to buy now and wait for external vendor to open and get certificate later. We thought they are just closed for holidays but no. We asked when will it open and they don't know, when I asked if they just closed for holidays when she clarified that they are closed since COVID starting March and they don't know when it will open, so we really have no choice unless we want to accept fake or real without care. We are feeling very disappointed this Christmas/ New year with no real gift and money stuck in gift cards.SandieGippsland, VIC
Absolutely appalling after purchase service
Purchased an expensive watch. Needed new battery and when I took it back to store it was purchased from was told they could not get the back off to replace battery suggested I go to another jeweller. Why do Prouds sell watches they cannot replace batteries in. Appalling after purchase service. Never going into any prouds stores again. Very disappointed.

Poor watch quality
The sales person is always nice when buying something but ive had too many bad experiences with all the watches purchased. They make it difficult to return faulty watches. Battery has lasted only 2 months and stopped. Dont buy a watch from there. Even for an expensive watch dont waste your money on this company. Wont b going there anymore for anything.
