problem; the marketplace is very limited - no crypto Qoin meets the criteria to be classified as "money"; among other attributes money must be convertible and widely accepted; despite the nominal conversion rates published, it is IMPOSSIBLE to convert Qoin to any other medium, whether crypto, fiat or commodity.

The concept isn't a scam but the representation that it is convertible to AUD is pretty close. Don't go there.

to be told; "It not possible" when speaking to Qoin support the customer service agent has legitimately told me, "No one has been able to withdraw for months, wait for the wrapped Qoin" this is seriously such a scam, I have tens of thousands tied up in this fake currency, it makes it worse when I am asked "Why do you want to withdraw Qoin?" I explained I have been doing deals at 50% Qoin and want to recoup some of my expenses that I paid out in cash for supply's, only for the agent to retort back with "You should be mindful of your financial situation and not trade in anything that you're willing to lose" - THIS is such a nonsense Non answer, this is the kind of language scam artists use.

You are signed up, you have this big meeting with people on Zoom, they brag about how much it has grown and how far its going, where it'll be, how much better off you'll be, all so you can line the pockets of the inventors, this is essentially another 'Trade Dollar' scam, a barter system that you pay to get in with cold hard cash, only to be the sole remaining sucker that is left with the pile of Cr*p which is copious amounts of worthless Qoin.

The facts of the matter are this; Qoin was started by 2 men, the same 2 men own BTX which is the "Exchange" that you can trade Qoin on, now keep in mind, its exclusively only available to sell on BTX, now the very same 2 men get to decide when to buy back their worthless currency, the real reason no-one can sell their Qoin is because people are chomping at the BIT to sell it, and they know they cannot accommodate the sales, they cannot accommodate the sheer volume of people that want out of it, so essentially all the merchants that have Qoin are held hostage by these losers, I frankly am under the belief they will never let anyone sell it, because they want to cheat and steal from hardworking small businesses, YOU WILL NEVER SEE BIG BUSINESS ON QOIN.

Things are so bad at the moment there is currently a class action lawsuit started by Salerno Law, I signed up today, I invite anyone, I repeat ANYONE that has any Qoin to register your case with them, these frauds need to go to jail, I hope justice will be done, I have lost thousands of dollars by using Qoin and being unable to sell it, my first instinct was it was a scam, I should have trusted my gut, the sad thing is, they initially talk to prospective people how its like a crypto, the only crypto portion is that whenever they sign up a new merchant, they can generate $7500.00 worth of Qoin from the reserve (This is straight from their white paper), this is the only shape it is like a crypto and what does this mean, they have extra Qoin to try and shovel down the throats of unsuspecting people.

I am writing the review in the hope it saves someone, even if its just one person that is on the fence from signing up, please steer clear, do not do it, you will regret it.

In an attempt to get back even a fraction of the amount I put into acquiring the Qoin tokens, I filed a class action complaint with Fintrack.org and they had my deposit sent directly into my wallet alongside the profits made on my account as a results of the trading activities that were being carried out secretly with my capital.

contacted upwards of 25 companies to try and spend Qoin and without exception each one politely told me to get lost. At best they say they allow a couple of customers to use Qoin each month & then they stop. Hardly a free flowing economy. Essentially business owners now understand that they will be swapping goods & services for something they can only onward swap and find extremely hard to convert to "real" fiat or crypto currency.

Qoin do have a pseudo exchange where they claim you can sell Qoin but that is limited to $100 per day and over the past week I have tried to sell just 1 x $100 several times a day and each time without exeption was met with the message, "Sorry your block sale attempt could not be matched with Buyers at this time". So there is no market, just a potential market making matching of buyers and sellers at a huge spread.

Gumtree is awash with people trying to offload their Qoin at any price. For example todays quoted price is $9.58 . . . yet sellers on Gumtree are offering Qoin at $0.35, $0.40 and $0.50 each.

As it stands it seems impossible to use Qoin or convert it to anything that resembles real money unless you want to send it to someone else with a Qoin wallet. This doesn't fit the model of a decentralised digital economy when the doors are locked and Qoin holders are trapped inside being forced to play swapsie with their goods and services.

All said and done though most people have been given free Qoin and can therefore shrug it off and wait to see what happens in the future. Sadly part of the sign up promotion was a focus on the straight line rising price of Qoin (created by an algorithm with no links to actual monetary reality) and the offer of the chance to "get in" on this months big block purchase by purchasing Qoin at a steep discount with actual dollars as an investment.

On the upside those "investors" (who parted with fairly significant sums of money), can tell themselves they are now sat on a healthy "profit" according to the Qoin price but on the downside it is utterly meaningless if you cannot sell, spend or even withdraw your original investment. It is so illiquid you have to question whether it even exists anymore.

The business model cannot be generating much income for the Qoin company at present and yet they are spending vast amounts on marketing and advertising, e.g. Queensland Reds . . . Therefore, one has to wonder where all the money for these huge promotions is coming from . . . . . .

Final thought, the positive reviews here for Qoin are just too positive, notice how they are all gushing beyond compare and yet the vast majority are negative and detail real world experiences.

I would sell mine at a loss just to get out of the system. Just like Bartercard another system of taking your money, not providing support and nowhere to spend it. Business barter system with Qoin not cash – 0 is my rating. This is NOT and again I will repeat it, NOT an investment. It’s a closed barter system between businesses. Once your money is in, the max you can draw out currently is $125 IF you can.

Rubbish – The amount of merchants that will accept 100% coin in my area is non existent. The few that take coin are reluctant and usually don’t return calls. The ability to cash out on the exchange in NIL. After trying multiple random times every day for 2 weeks I have given up. I would have rather donated my money to medical research than Qoin fat cats.

Terrible – One could describe it as a multi level marketing scheme or as a pyramid scheme. You also will find it hard to cash back out. Qoin's owners own the one exchange that Qoin is accepted at.

using Qoin and much of it was paid for by the appreciation of our Qoin. We get cash booking referrals from our Qoin customers also. It's about how you use it..the ones saying scam simply don't know how utilise it or you are not using it as a utility coin as intended and therefore not getting any of the benefits and worse be forced to sell too cheap. Qoin has to be managed as do Qoin murchant relationships in my opinion.
