I got two medium layers and a firm layer. I love the flexibility the layers provide. They’re a bit annoying to stack and handle, but is easy enough with two people and only needs to be done once. Mattress is good quality and relatively easy to put together. It was a little firmer than expected but Quokka customer service was incredibly supportive and provided a topper which has been sensational. Getting a much better rest than I have been for some time. mattress because I wanted a durable mattress that doesn’t sag over time like the traditional box springs. The individual latex mattresses appear to be high quality. However what lets this whole system down is the cover that holds everything together. The top of the cover feels like a very stiff, thick canvas type material. The problem here is that you lose the benefit of the high quality, comfortable latex mattresses. I tried the mattresses without the cover zipped up and just a sheet over the top and it is phenomenal. On a positive note, Quokka reached out to me to see how everything was and appeared to be genuinely interested in my feedback. They claim that the cover is designed to increase the durability so you can get up to 20 years out of the mattress. My personal opinion is that they went too far on the durability side and sacrificed comfort. If you go into any mattress store and try a mattress for around the $2k mark you get a nice comfortable mattress. Compare that to this system that in comparison feels like a cheap blow up camping mattress. There is no comparison. Out of the box without a topper I was disappointed which is why I don’t understand how they are getting such a high rating. Having said that, I bought a 5cm latex mattress topper from Amazon for $165 that I am extremely happy with. I have now got the comfort that I was looking for and have the benefit of the durability and firm base that the latex mattresses provide. They do sell a 5cm latex mattress topper for $450. A mattress topper is a must with this setup. I didn’t buy theirs so I can’t comment on that. Bottom line: I am happy with my purchase now that I have a 3rd party latex topper. I wouldn’t pay full price for this system. Wait until it is on sale. If you buy the mattresses full price $2600 you need to add the topper $450 and then you are over $3k. What they should have done is tied their mattress topper into the cover in lieu of the stiff, thick canvas like material. I doubt that will ever happen because it would eat into their margins because they wouldn’t be able to upsell the topper for an extra $450. There is also no incentive for them to do this whilst they continue to get high ratings. That’s my 2cents for what it is worth. I don’t generally leave reviews but was compelled to in this case because I purchased based off the reviews which don’t appear to line up with reality.

Highly recommended – Fantastic customer service, had no qualms with me swapping one of my medium layers to be a firm. Beautiful mattress, fantastic back support and incredibly comfortable. Quokka, a Responsive Organisation – We ordered the queen firm and two mediums. It turned out too firm for us so we checked with Quokka and they suggested using their new soft topper. We subsequently ordered the topper with no obligation but as it turned out it solved the firmness issue and we are very happy with the result. There is always a risk when a return guarantee is offered by any company and it's often so difficult that sometimes it's just simpler to walk away, but when there's a significant investment at stake, one always hopes for a simple resolution. That was certainly the case here. Customer service and communication was far better than I could have hoped and for that I am truly grateful.

rurally and choice locally is limited, so we looked online. The Quokka appealed for these reasons: 1. Adjustable 2. 3 piece, so easy to handle/move (our old mattress was crazy heavy) 3. Organic (our old mattress gassed off headache-generating fumes for a couple of weeks) 4. Reasonable price 5. Good reviews. 6. Long warranty (a common criticism of mattress-in-a-box products is that they feel good at first, but deteriorate in a year or so)

After some dialogue with Quokka's support about whether our bed base was suitable we ordered. That was a painless process - just follow their recommendation for weight and sleeping style.

It turned up at our door on schedule from Perth, which was pleasing, as sometimes we have to drive into town to pick stuff up from the depot. It was well packed in 4 manageable boxes and easy to put together following the instructions.

It's not an immediately impressive mattress in the sense that you sink into a plush top layer and think wow that's comfortable. Rather It does its job efficiently in a quiet and unassuming fashion. No aches and pains, supportive, not obviously soft or hard just comfortable and we get a good night's sleep.

So if it stays like it is for as long as the warranty we'll be very happy.

Love it – So far I am very happy with this mattress. After purchasing several relatively expensive mainstream mattresses over the years only to have them dip and sag after a few months/years, I am so pleased with my new Quokka. I love the fact that I a not going to be dumping it at the tip in a few years, that I can flip if I want, that it is made from sustainable products, and that it is customisable. Best mattress! – Great mattress for our bad backs. We are chemical sensitive and this has been no problems for us at all. Service was excellent, originally ordered a medium which was too soft. an ad on Facebook for Quokka Beds and their latex mattresses. I liked the simplicity, the fact that there are no springs, a natural product, adjustable support, it just made sense to me.

I've had mine for around a month now and I have slept much better, which to be fair is no surprise given my old bed was well due for a replacement, nonetheless I am sure that the new bed is helping in that regard.

I'd recommend having two people set up the bed, which although not difficult is also not completely straight forward either.

One of the comfiest beds we've slept on – Extremely comfortable and supportive mattress. We both have back problems. We thought pocket springs were the go but that mattress sagged so quickly. This feels slightly softer than I thought it would be but is also super supportive. It feels like it's gently holding you. Simply Fantastic! – This mattress has the perfect amount of natural flexibility whilst still retaining firmness. I have had spinal surgery and it's a positive fit for me, my partner had scoliosis and she also is very happy.with it too. I envision this being a long lasting and very durable bed.
