I want to thank RAA for great service over the years. But particularly last last Thursday, when my new tyre went flat on the expressway, I was on my way to a doctor related appointment, and I was pretty stressed out. The RAA were there quickly, and when my spare didn't fit, Mark not only made sure I got to my appointment, but while I was there… Read more

got my car to a tyre place who fixed the leaking valve so I could drive it home when I got myself back to RAA. Really went above and beyond job description and I am very grateful to them.

Managed to deadlock my flat battery VX Commodore. Looking at (very expensive) locksmith to fix. Brydon from RAA Mt Barker fixed it by miraculously jumpstarting it from UNDER the car, got the doors to open and job done!! Have always had excellent roadside support from RAA but Brydon was next level helpful. Thanks guys.

I heard a loud clanking noise coming from the back of my van, a fella named [Name Removed] came out to Spalding and drove it and said the van needs to get to a mechanic, but he said ‘do not use the brakes’ what the ! It was one and half hour drive… Read more

to Port Augusta ! The clanking got louder, the wheel came off in fire, rolled into the bush and started a huge fire with 5 fire engines coming out.

Follow-up  · No one has got back to me re the accident.RAA and NRMA have not offered to pay any reimbursement if costs. [Name Removed], the RAA service fella should never have advised me that I could drive the van to the mechanics. The gas HWS was directly above the wheel that caught fire, I could have died in that accident because of his bad advice. Also CIL insurance have refused to pay on my claim, I have now changed to Ken Tames.

I joined RAA roadside assist when I locked my keys in my car. After receiving amazing customer service and fast help, I decided to check out their car Insurance; and I'm glad I did. I signed up immediately and cancelled my policy with another Insurance company. RAA all the way

Follow-up  · Sign up process was simple; took less than 10 minutes The premium I'm paying now, is way cheaper than what I was paying with another company - with the same benefits When I saw how much I'd save, I signed up immediately

OMG Literally . Husband takes out road side assist in case car breaks down. Wife breaks down at night on an unlit country road RAA says too bad only your Husband is covered. She had to fend for herself. As he father many many Kms away I rang them and got the same answer. When finally a supervisor came online he said Oh we can simply add her and… Read more

commented they always offer this? He3 lied 2 agents did not offer and we had no way to Know. she has decided to sit in the car till morning hoping someone might stop and assist. RAA are clearly a scam operation operating under semantics to avoid assisting but clearly happy and quick to accept the money. There should be a rel recourse for operations like this. They operate with RACV abd use their phone center which durects callers based on the Phone location. But Think They offer support to a person for a vehicl breakdown Not the Vehicle, Not the spouse who by the way owns the vehicle yet they pretend they can readily add her? Why would they not do that and assist???????????i

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to the amazing RAA Road Assistance team who came to my rescue today. What started as a very frustrating and stressful situation with my car was turned around thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the RAA team. From the very first call with the cheerful and helpful operator, I felt… Read more

reassured that I was in good hands. The rescue team arrived in under 10 minutes, and Mark (P235), with his expertise, immediately assessed the situation. He took the time to explain the issue with my car in a calm and clear manner, which made all the difference. I really appreciated his patience and professionalism.

Mark's colleague (unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name) also took the time to explain the benefits of RAA membership, which was incredibly helpful. Their work ethic and attitude were truly outstanding, and I couldn't be more impressed by the level of service.

I’m genuinely blown away by how well they handled everything and just wanted to say thank you once again. You’ve earned my admiration and respect—salute to you both! THANK YOU from a happy customer from Teringie 15/3/25

Excellent service – I called RAA Roadside Assistance with a flat battery. The RAA app on my phone kept me fully informed as to how far away the patrol was and how long it would be until he arrived. Patrol 5MR116 arrived promptly and prepared to install a new battery to replace the one that had been operating below par for some time. After unbolting the battery… Read more

container ready to drop in the new battery the patrolman urged me to look for the warranty card for the dead battery. Found in the bottom of the glovebox, the card revealed that my battery was in fact still under warranty. The patrolman then spent considerable time with a variety of testing instruments to finally reveal a constant low discharge which was creating my battery problems. I was referred to an RAA auto electrician to resolve the problem and replace the battery. This patrolman could have driven up, replaced my battery, collected my money and driven off leaving behind a satisfied customer; 10 minutes tops. Instead he chose to go the extra mile, spending over half an hour to resolve my problem and save me a considerable amount of money and inevitable future problems with a faulty electrical system. Absolutely fantastic 5MR116 - many thanks.

It was two days before Xmas, I was low on fuel and my petrol cap would not open. I explained when I rang that I had to get to an appointment and they prioritised my job. David rang soon after to say he was 10 minutes away and arrived soon after. He got my cap off, identified the problem quickly and how to manage it until it is permanently fixed. He was quick, friendly and very helpful. I was soon on my way with a full tank.

My elderly mother drove her car over a high cement kerb in Modbury hospital carpark and car got stuck. Darren came out quickly, managed to jack it up and back it off in about 10 mins . No apparent damage which would not have been the case had it been towed off which we feared it might need to be. THANK YOU DARREN , YOU ARE A STAR!

I called about an issue that my car registration I gave to the windscreen place did not come up at RAA. I had to spend 30 min in total including recall option to get this sorted. It worked out that RAA had integrated the “SA” small print, for South Australia, into my car rego, and hence they refused to acknowledge my real car rego without the… Read more

“SA”. The windscreen place put the bonus on me to sort this out. How st>pid can a company specialising in South Australian cars be? Even the clerk I finally got on the phone after enduring crazily annoying endless loops on online processing (RAA online refused to accept a claim for windscreen replacement, go directly to the provider!!!) could not understand why the “SA” was put on my official Rego!!! Hopeless company!! And even worse the customer service. Not enough well trained Australian personnel for the phone jobs. Not everything is suitable for online claim etc, but instead of helping customers they try their best to put you off to try speaking to a real person!! Very poor service for what you pay them!! The biggest issue is not enough good, Australian not off-shore, trained personnel on the phone!!! Put more people on, and cut out those annoying endless loops on online claims that just don’t cut it in many cases! Why is it so difficult to speak to a real person??? It should be the norm not the last resource!!! Yes you save money but the customers feel let down. I will not renew my car insurance with RAA when renewal comes up.

Roadside ‘assist’ would not attend to flat battery replacement parked in my driveway. Was quoted $400 for one of their inferior quality batteries which was $100 more than one sourced myself.

Haven't been an RAA member for 10 years yet still get emails from them. Prefer roadside service from my insurance company as it is cheaper and service is quicker. Also, those annoying bee ads on TV are atrocious. Whoever came up with that monstrosity masquerading as a bee? It is creepy and his voice is condescending and smarmy. Not a good look for RAA.

These guys are becoming a bunch of scammers. I want to reduce my cover, They have a whole website full of nonsense and yet I am not able to change my level of cover. I have to ring them. My membership is due however with an app and a full website they do not allow existing members to do this, yet as a new member you can choice the level of cover you wish.

My wife used RAA driving lessons. paid Nearly $900 for 5 lessons that went for one hour and a half each. The instructors name was Abdi. Every time he was approximately 10 minutes late, had long toilet breaks during the lessons and even made my wife drop things off to his other pupils, all which was taken from her time. And then for these five… Read more

lessons he went over everything she had already completed prior and signed off hardly nothing. For 5 big lesson's. One time he even fell asleep during the lessons. Guys this is disgusting. We should really get a refund for this. We now changed instructors and company and even this instructor was amazed and said RAA instructor seemed very unprofessional and shocked at the lack of movement on the log book after these 5 lesson's.. RAA please look into this, this is really pathetic.

Where do I start? Firstly, am unhappy about RAA insurance now being underwritten by Allianz. change to monthly debits, have to wait on the phone for over an hour only to be harassed to upgrade to more expensive policies. Shop staff are mainly travel agents and unable to help with insurance and member issues. Car insurance increases with the added shock of excess amounts increased without notice. Caps now placed on claims, items removed from policies without notice such as the lifetime new car replacement. Some renewals are emailed, some posted - emailed policies do not download properly. Goodbye RAA. You are fast becoming irrelevant in SA!

I’ve been a paying member of this company since 2018, paying $14 per month. This year, when I had a flat tire while using a rental car for work, I contacted them for assistance. Instead of helping directly, they transferred me to the rental car company’s roadside assistance, who then sent me a $250 bill. After all these years of paying monthly fees, I received no real support when I actually needed it. Extremely disappointing.

I signed up for Road service and was told I could “cancel anytime” no matter what. I only needed it for less than 6 months as I got a company vehicle now. In the 6 months I used 3/4 of my call outs and when I rang to cancel I was told if you use any call outs you’re locked into for the whole year. Pathetic way to do business. Canceled my insurance with them over this.

Your 6c discount at Caltex service stations is a scam. All along North East Rd yesterday, the Caltex was 7c more expensive than the other brands, which means with your so called 6c discount, diesel ended up being 1c more expensive than its competitors. This situation has not been restricted to this road on this day. It is the usual situation

How about employing people that know all south Australian locations, car dies, you think calling RAA - that you pay money to, would be able to assist you right ? Not this one clown, he couldn't find our location so he gave up and was sending someone else !!! Makes me think twice about renewing my membership!!

I am beyond frustrated with the service I received from RAA. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere for over 12 hours, and their excuse for not showing up? Multiple calls were made via Toyota’s… Read more

emergency helpline, but RAA still failed to act. One of their phone operators even had the audacity to hang up on me, demanding upfront payment instead of providing the urgent assistance I needed. Is this how you treat people in an emergency?

When someone calls for emergency roadside assistance, the expectation is immediate support, not excuses and delays. If safety was a concern, they should have found an alternative way to help instead of abandoning their responsibility.

I had no choice but to accept the help when it finally arrived, but why should I have to pay after being neglected for over 12 hours? This is absolutely unacceptable. RAA is supposed to be a reliable service, but clearly, they don’t care about their customers when it actually matters.

I will never trust RAA again, and I strongly advise others to reconsider relying on them
