Don’t buy their batteries

Don’t buy a RAA replacement battery if you can help it. Poor quality. Mine lasted 2.5 years where as the previous battery lasted 5. I went to a battery retailer to replace it and even he said that RAA batteries are poor quality. Pretty disappointed as a 40+ years customer. Show details

Roadside assist is amazing!

Amazing service! We had parked our car for more than 2 months as we were overseas, and the battery was flat. Called RAA assist and he came within 20 minutes, and diagnosed the issue. The battery had to be replaced as it was 6 years old and was discharging even with the engine running. The location of the battery was a nightmare because it is under the passenger seat, but the technician was confident that he could replace it. Took him about 2 hours as he meticulously worked to dismantle the seat, replace the battery and connect everything back and then replace the seat back to its original setting. Amazing work. Thank you RAA! Show details

Frantic on the freeway

The RAA mechanic that attended me was awesome! He quickly diffused a potentially dangerous situation as I was on the southern expressway. He quickly diagnosed my problem and suggested a solution. His manner was courteous and professional. Well done and thank you Show details

Great Service in an emergency

RAA’s service was excellent when car broke down on busy freeway. They responded quickly, kept in touch along the way, sorted a tow truck and paid for a taxi to get me to my destination. Thanks RAA team. Show details

Don't buy RAA Batteries, just out of Warranty & Failed

I bought an RAA battery for a Ford, 2 year warranty on the battery. Guess what 2 years & 3 months the battery has just failed. Being a loyal member of the RAA for 24 years, thought the RAA would change it under warranty as its just over. I was wrong they wanted me to buy another one that would last 2 years. The battery that came with the car lasted 5 years.

I have gone back to that brand of battery that lasted 5 years with a 3 year warranty! Show details

Start the car

Called RAA when having issues camping. They found my location and provided help within a surprising time considering were I was located. Was great to receive friendly and efficient service. More expensive for insurance etc than other companies but great local service company. Show details

Above and beyond

My Bt broke down bottom of Yorke Peninsula. The time and effort put in by the technician (mechanic) Ash from Warooka was second to none. Worked through the issue over a couple of hours. Able to get the car going to get both car and c/van back to Adelaide. A very likeable lad, RAA are very lucky to have him on their team.

Valued membership

Last Thursday, 14 Dec I was heading for lunch with friends when.... oh dear a flat tyre! Called RAA, patrol arrived very quickly & sorted the problem. I was treated courteusly as offending tyre removed, spare fitted & 'problem' pointed out to me. Thank you 'Don'. No regrets being an RAA Member since 1980.

Great Roadside Service

I had the need to caII for Roadside Assist today. Flat tyre we were on the way to an important medical appointment and to our amazment within 10 minutes of calling for assistance tha RAA Van arrived the guy could not have been more helpful and we were on our way in less than 15 minutes
I was amazed and a big thankyou to RAA

Mislead and now out of pocket

I feel like I have been mislead, paying for cover over the years I never had.I had an incident with my vehicle where two of my tyres had popped, requiring a tow. However RAA has just informed me that I am not covered for the toe because it’s tyre and not a mechanics fault. Since when has that been a fine print? I have been able to do it a few years ago and now suddenly they won’t cover it and I’m now $407 out of pocket
