1 noiSEYboi E.  · I think Raid actually help insects breed and gives them energy!!! Absolutely useless!
1 Alan P.  · useless – problems all the time a most useless product with bad electronics whoever constucted this needs to go back to school
1 Bee  · Wasted money on an unusable product – Purchased an indoor unit. It didn't work and I hadn't kept receipt so couldn't return. Wont purchase that brand again.

I purchased a Raid multi insect control system which I believed was keeping you he flies away. I placed the container in a corner near the kitchen sitting on a small set of plastic drawers. When I went to replace the canister I noticed the paint on the area behind the holder the ad completely dissolved and very sticky. The only way to remove this… Read more

paint was to peel it off down to the plaster board before it could be sanded then repainted. I couldn't believe that this even happened. Please don't place this product near painted walls. Very disappointed.

Useless – I bought this product using the "RAID EARTH OPTIONS BOTANICALS AUTOMATIC ADVANCED MULTI-INSECT CONTROL SYSTEM" and it has never worked, clicks but doesn't dispense, changed canisters but no help. What a waste of money. Show details

Worked immediately – I bought a pack (on promotion dispenser & refil) with a spare refill in April 21, the mosquitoes fly in faster than I can open and close our crimsafe got vthe better if me and put night sleep bothered me lots!!! So I placed this on our tall boy in a our bedroom (60m2), within the hour it had repelled the little biters, I was impressed. initially… Read more

I woke up a few times to the clicking noise of the dispenser, but I got used to that and it far less annoying than a mosquito flying near my ear!!!

The build quality isn't great, but it does the job. I haven't witnessed any paint staining either, perhaps it depends on the refill used; I used earth option botanical which doesn't smell at all, I chose this as I don't want smelly chemicals in my bedroom.

The refills are very expensive, I purchased the earth options version and at $15.50 from Woolies (185g / 55 days) which I think is overpriced. Having said that, I was going through a can of spray a week without this and I don't know what price you put on quality sleep!

Sometimes there's a promotion where the automatic dispenser and refill are $15 and cheaper than just a refil!

I also found every couple of weeks the can requires a shake or it doesn't dispense very well.

Ultimately, it works very well for me, but is expensive for what it is.

It works much better that the cheap imitations but refills are hard to get – This works extremely well preventing ants invading the kitchen and mosquito control. It has a much finer spray than the cheap alternatives and has less smell. It is important to ensure that the spray is away from walls and objects and into an open area. Hard to get the right sized refills. No one wants to stock them. Show details

It works – We live in a small town just below the Great Dividing Range. With a very high humidity level during the warmer months, outside activities were kept to a minimum due to the swarms of flies and mosquitos. Then we discovered the Raid Insect Control System So glad we did. Bar-B-Ques are now the order of the day.

Never again!!!! – Was not working correctly from the start but finally managed to get it working on 24 hour spray. Changed it to 12 hourly when I went to bed. Next day noticed lots of flies and no spraying. Lifted the container to have liquid run out of it. Opened the container, took out the can to find the spray can empty and the container full of liquid.only had it less than 2 weeks. Regretfully had to give a star to have review uploaded :-( Show details

Rubbish unit – Unit stopped working. Replaced battery and can. Still nothing. Just a red flashing light. Don't buy this unit. I have 3 and they all did the same thing after 4 months

Did not work – Not cheap to start with and made no noticeable difference. I literally had flies landing on the unit while it was supposedly working. A fly swat would have been far more useful Show details

How to put yourself out of business by changing a perfectly good product into a crappy one – Had to purchase new designed unit as couldn't get refills for old one (305g). New connection from can onto operating mechanism is now dependent on 2 thin plastic lugs. Holder for total unit is under-designed and is floppy and unstable. My son inadvertently brushed his extended arm onto the unit which then, due to the new crappy designed holder,… Read more

fell onto the carpeted floor. One of the thin plastic lugs broke off and the whole thing is now unusable. Bunnings refused me a refund even though I had the receipt and the gas can was about 90% full. Absolutely terrible design and I would total recommend against anyone buying one. Shame on you Raid. You've stuffed up a good, workable design chasing profits.

Destroyed paint on the wall – The dispenser was accidentaly pointed towards the wall, the resulting mess has been impossible to fix. I have stripped the paint right back to bare wall board but it still seems to stain whatever new paint I put on. Probably have to remove the wall board. Show details

Absolute fraud – Never worked from day one. Hours of fiddling failed to get it operative. $20 down the drain. Better spend your money on aerosol bug-control products. Warn others not to buy this rubbish.

Garbage, doesn't work – This product is completely ineffective, it doesn't kill anything and is a total waste of money. I also purchased the aerosol spray and it's just as bad, the fumes feel like they burn your lungs 10 minutes after you spray it and spiders coveted in spray and totally white wait for half hour till the spray dries and isnt so heavy that they can walk away. I've never seen anything like it !

Stained painted wall – Spray dribbled down wall. Tried various cleaners to remove including acetone. Painted over it with oil based paint but still stickey. Not sure what to try next. Might need to replace wallboard?

Terrible stains on walls – We've found this to be OK at managing flies (as long as you don't have doors open), but it's dribbled an oily substance down the wall which has left horrible yellow stains that are impossible to get rid of. We've re-papered the area around where the unit was mounted and stopped using it, but the stains have come through, and I'm not quite sure… Read more

how we're going to get rid of it. Plan is to strip wallpaper and paint the walls this year, and I'm really not sure how we're going to be paint to stick short of re-lining the wall. It also left a very oily film (similar to greasy cooking fumes) on glass cabinets close to it, which made me start wondering what we were breathing in, so have completely stopped using it.

Not able to buy refills – This is disgusting. I pay for a dispenser only for the manufacturer to make it redundant and not supply refills. You are rip off merchants with no regard for customers.

Completely useless – I'm finding this product to be totally ineffective. It's definitely giving out a burst of spray periodically but seems to have zero impact on flies etc. I have it located near the kitchen/dining area and yet I still find myself regularly having to wave away pesky flies. It appears to have no impact whatsoever.

Don't buy it. Waste of money – First can worked fine. Sprayed but I doubt it killed anything. Next can leaked down the wall stripping of the paint. What a mess. Third can leaks trying to install it on the dispenser so I guess that's why it's on my wall. So its all gone in the bin. Will never purchase anything like this again.

Wrecked my painted wall – I find it definitely gets rid of flies etc. but it has totally wrecked my painted white wall; I have used primer and several coats of paint but still have a huge yellow stain that won’t cover over. Not happy!

Permanent wall stains will cost us dearly – The product caused terrible stains on a wall in my rented home. After metho scrub, scraping, heavy sanding and nine (yes at least 9) coats of paint over the area, the stain still comes through and is highly visible on the white wall. Does anyone else want to make a big fuss? When we move the cost of repainting (even though ineffective) will come out of our bonds. Let's put photos on Facebook.

Wish I'd read the reviews – Bought the larger version of the earth options 100% natural less than a year ago. No problem with functioning. Also a precaution for an allergic grandchild but careful in house so not sure if it works BUT could not buy the 305 g refill today from Woolworths who denied ever selling it to me. Duh! Same experience with paint. It was accidentally facing the wall for a while and house painters who claimed to be able to remove anything had no luck. Fortunately it's behind a tall bookcase.

Ripped paint off the wall in my rental home:( – Just before moving I've discovered it has eaten into the paint. So now the huge job of stripping it all back. Then the expense of a whole tub of paint to paint the entire wall. Not impressed.

works for the flies but is deadly for your painted walls if it leeks – It would appear from other reviews that Raid is very bad for painted walls , and that Raid company are disregarding this problem with their product 2 times it has happened to me the can was either turned to the wall or had leaked. I tried repainting but the stain still shone through, Last attempt I painted over the stain with an exterior low… Read more

sheen, however had to paint the whole room, still waiting for the outcome, hopefully the stain has been covered.
