1 Auntie Lizzie W.  · I’m pretty sure the flies are laughing at me! Save your money - do not buy raid one shot.
1 john f  · Waste of money – The only way this pos product will kill a fly or mossies is if you use the can to squash it
1 nigel james  · disappointing – We have numerous very small fruit flies. RAID spray performance was very disappointing. Flies were not dying at all. Pretty useless
1 Bunny  · Useless – It's not one shot or even ten. Doesn't even take down mosquitoes at short range, hopeless.

After a good 10 second spray at a fly trapped in the corner of the ceiling, I waited as he proceeded to take a shower in the spray mist and then when he was satisfied, flew off and returned to annoying the angry human with a can of One Shot in their hand. In a positive note, the house did smell lovely due too the nice citrus fragrance from the fly spray Show details

Definitely NOT one shot (or even 5). On the rare occasion I get ants inside the house I use surface spray. Which for some reason the past years most brands have not been even remotely effective. Raid One Shot Surface Spray is probably the top of this “useless” category. Expensive can of, nothingness… First you need to shake the absolute hell out… Read more

of the can. Possibly take to a hardware store and use their paint shaker. Then after it will still spray out the can all thick and foamy. Sprayed a group of ants with it outside to stop them coming in and unbelievably watched as they put on music and had a rave as I had unknowingly created a freaking foam party for them with the crap that came out of the Raid One Shot can. Watching as the occasional ant would wander into my house to get some munchies and then leave again to go back to the party. After emptying the can I then left and had to listen to thumping noise of ant drum and bass all night until the foam dried up and they went home. Don’t recommend this product unfortunately.

Works like a charm – This is my go-to insect spray. Kills flying things within seconds although cockroaches need to be hit harder. We usually spray a roach and then sit the Raid tin on top of it, so the creepy crawly inhales every fume possible on the way to death's door. Show details

The only spray that kills flies within seconds! – I've tried multiple brands, cheap and expensive, to try rid my house of flies with little luck. Within 5 seconds of spraying, I watched the flies drop to the ground. I've never had such a great experience with insect spray, especially to the point of wanting to leave a positive review! I won't be buying anything else from now on ☺️ Show details

For specific use on cockroaches, Raid one shot multipurpose works amazingly – As stated in the title, I use Raid on specifically cockroaches and it just annhiliatew them. At first contact, the roach goes into hyperdrive mode and starts freaking the heck out, but within a matter of 30 - 60 seconds, the roach is on it's back with legs flailing in the air. I imagine the raid must attack the nervous system, seems to be pretty… Read more

brutal, slow and agonising. If you give a light spray, you may still find the roach still slightly twitching a few days later (if you're lazy on the clean up like myself. I leave them for the geckos running around here. Raid soaked roaches doesn't seem to bother the geckos at all). Give the roach a heavy spray and it'll do the job properly.

Waste of money – Absolutely useless. No matter how many times the fly is sprayed it continues to fly around happily. Maybe the “one shot” refers to throwing the can at the fly. Show details

Doesn’t kill anything … except perhaps by drowning! – I just had to create an account to say how totally, pathetically useless this stuff is … except for leaving marks on furniture. Isn’t it illegal to make false claims? This stuff is certainly not any sort of insect killer. Show details

Useless on flies – The spray is not quick enough and doesn't propel far enough to kill flies. The way it sprays means the the mains burst doesn't hit the fly until it has a chance to fly away.

Useless – Buy this if you want residue spat onto your appliances and windows. If you want to repeatedly clean items around your home. And into that bargain flies and mozzies just laughter at you. It doesn't kill a thing Show details

Identity Crises – Be warned Raid only identifies as an insect repellent but I’m telling you it’s only canned air. I’m running around my bedroom at 1am trying to kill a single mosquito with this woke insect repellent and the mosquito is pissing itself laughing, the next night it invited 10 of its mates because clearly there is no danger here. Do not buy this product if you want to kill any insect, this wouldn’t kill an ant unless I dropped the cam on it!! Show details

Useless – This insect spray is not "one shot". It takes about 10 long sprays and still won't kill a fly, even if the bottle was shaken beforehand to even out the poison. I do not recommend Show details

This product is PERFECT! For discontinuing – NOT a one shot knock down. It is a suspended animation solution, that artificially extends insect life-spans. 10 minutes at a time. Dual nozzle system is like a hosepipe, that coats walls, floors, ceilings etc with sticky, useless stains. Does NOT atomize properly, so a stream of (I'll use the term sarcastically) "insect killer" sprays out. To… Read more

top that off, it doesnt even kill the flies. Stuns them, certainly, but 10 minutes later, happily flying about.

Useless – This "double nozzle technology is absolutely useless, unless the flying insect is tied down it takes four or five blasts to get it down then you can squish it the old fashioned way. The "double nozzle technology " is just a marketing stunt to use twice as much at each spray, and it still doesn't knock them down. If I could give less than one star… Read more

I would. Will never buy this again Look at the reviews! They speak for themselves. Why is this stuff still allowed to sell making the claims that it does. FALSE ADVERTISING

Double nozzle technology failure – The double nozzels block and drip the contents on the skin of the user, there is no effective spray at all. We tried unblocking the nozzels with a needle to no effect. Useless design. Do not buy. Show details

It doesn't work on spiders – We bought Raid One Shot as it was on special, and thought we'd give it a go. It has not been successful in killing spiders which is what we really want it for. We are on night 3 of trying to kill a spider. I have sprayed the spider much more than one shot. I covered him in Raid. I figured he took himself off to die somewhere, but he comes… Read more

strutting into my living room again the next night. Not wanting to give up on a product I spent good money on, I dowsed the spider again. Fail. Tonight he made an appearance in the bedroom. It's 3am. I am waiting to do the job of this product was supposed to do. I have a shoe, that is smaller than the spider, and brave face ready to get him. Raid One Shot clearly won't do the job I know that the rival brand I usually use would have. It would have saved me this disruption, not to mention money. Really disappointed.

More like 4-5 shots and a moderate odour – Seriously Mortein and it's rampant false advertising! Takes at least 3 shots to take a mozzie down, even at close range. Equally irritating as the mozzie itself. Trying raid next shop Show details

Most useless product I have ever purchased – You have to drown the fly’s in it other wise they are still buzzing around 10 minutes later even after a direct hit of spray. I will Never waste my money on this again. Show details

Kills my wallet – So we spray this product liberally over a few days to “kill” a decent number of flys in an Airbnb. After those few days, I sweep the floor an sweep up to find - go on, guess how many- zero, zilch, none, not one dead fly. Unless they all went to day quietly in a corner, the Raid spray failed to kill one fly over several days. Killed my wallet on wasted money, but nothing else. Please don’t waste yours. Show details

Does not seem to work – Sprayed more than one shot in multiple rooms as per directed, 4-5 seconds. Tried this a few times, next day, same flys still buzzing around. Sprayed a fly, it knocked it out of the air, then it kept flying. Trash product. Show details

Raid one shot:0 Huntsman:1 – Absolutely useless, had a giant huntsman in the laundry, hit it with a broom and just made it angry so I emptied a FULL can of one shot onto it, just made it really angry, it just kept coming trying to fight me legs raised up in kill position running straight into the stream of raid I was spraying just mere inches away, while scream “die” and “get… Read more

the second freaking can!! Dumped the whole contents of that useless tin straight onto it to as well, used the force of the spray to blow it away from me and then it fell down the side of the washing machine, still very much alive, now I have to move, so thanks for nothing raid, I was tempted to light the spray and use it as a flame thrower but pretty sure my insurance wouldn’t cover it, but hey either way I’m homeless as I’m not house sharing with Satan’s 8 legged bestie! Only giving it one star as no zero option!!

Warning about raid max double nozzle – This product does not work and is actually very dangerous I used Raid max double nozzle spray on a fly in our lounge and instead of killing the fly is caused me and my son to have sneezing and running noses for hours after and set off my sons asthma which could have easily hospitalized him. was used. We have both had the same reaction the 3 different times I used this product so please please be careful, if you have allergies or especially asthma do not use this Raid max double nozzle spray. We have used other raid products without issue but they also did not kill or even slow down bugs unfortunately.

Should be called Raid 50 shot – After trying many different flysprays including Mortein , Raid etc I thought I would try the newer Raid One shot with "double nozzle technology". Unfortunately I'm not sure who is SC Johnson's product tester ( if they have one ), but I've probably have compare it with Mortein Fast Knockdown. Both ineffective as a flying insect spray. You literally… Read more

have to wait till the blowfly or cockroaches die of natural causes, namely their life cycle. I really object to paying exhorbident prices for products that simply don't work. You might as well spray water on the insects and hope you drown them.

Is it just water? – I bought the blue odourless can of fly spray, and have sprayed flies in my house several times, to no effect. The flies actually seemed to enjoy it. In the end they were flying back and forth in front of me, goading me, seemingly wanting more. Am I supposed to be throwing the can at the fly? Is that how it works? swat? SC Johnson should be taken to court for false advertising. This product does absolutely nothing to stop any insect that I have in my house. Don't buy it. I certainly won't be buying it again.

Double nozzle deal breaker! – Double nozzle technology…genius! Seriously, why do so many brands seem content treating their consumers like fools? Double nozzle just means double the amount used, plain and simple. Gave the outdoor furniture a quick spray for spiders, 3/4 of the can gone! Show details

Useless – Flies took up residence in the kitchen. They were not distracted by Raid let alone die. I suspect drowning by water would be more effective. Spar Supermarket sells a product, which reputedly works for half the price. I’ll try it and report back. Show details
