Pathetic customer service as they do not check and get any update from their partner bank in receiver bank. They are really don't care while putting you in waiting with out any proper answer.

email after 6 hours, asking to upload a photo! No mention of what photo? Called them and the agent asking the same weird questions again. Finally asked for my bank statements. That’s when I lost it. There is no way I’m sharing my bank statements to random strangers. Cancelled my transfer immediately and now waiting for the refund. Avoid at all cost.

life! Where I work, how much I earn, the name of my employer. Copy of my bank statement, it’s like I was applying for a loan, be very careful of this company seems like a scam! I went onto Wise and the money was sent and received by my partner in seconds! So advice don’t use Remitly!

They are scammer, don't use them at all, they change the exchange rate on last step, that investigation will take longer with promotional rate, so i pressed without realising that it will lower the exchange rate, when i realize they down the exchange rate i didn't go with the transaction, tried to do another transaction but now coming with lower rate. so please don't use them at all.
If I can able to give I even give a one star. I have transferred my money after nearly 17 hours still money has been to the nominated account . The worse thing is the reason they have mentioned which transfer has been cancelled. I have approved within 1 minutes not 1 hour. Another reason they have mentioned is couldn't find the bank account. What you guys are talking about.
After telling me the funds will not be cleared because of missing information. I then went in to there sites to add the right information only.to be charged 2 lots of $1000.00 i called within 5 minutes but they sent both anyway.. scammers.
Worse money transfer app. Their licence should be cancelled by AFCA. They suspended mine and my wife's account for no reason and every time we call them, we get a patent reply saying it's escalated and will take 24-48 hours without letting you know what it got suspended. Been over 4 weeks now and still not sorted. Stay away and better use Wise, western union, RIA , world remit
Remitly is the worst app I've ever used to send money abroad. Be very careful with transfers, even with documents, and with the recipient's name not matching the account number. The transaction is completed and it's never their problem. I will never use Remitly again. No security whatsoever.
Deceiving, unreliable dishonest. I was offered a secured rate (spot)I accepted and while was waiting for their verification email the rate was changed. Shocking. worst app that is available. I have been trying to get an update on the trannsaction for 30hrs and they decided to cancell blaming my bank rejected the transaction, when my bank did not cancell the transaction.

Attempted to remit birthday money overseas without success. Remitly requirement to provide bank statement is intrusive. Very difficult to understand its Chat (online and phone) facilities.
Follow-up · Transfer was never initiated. Details of a bank statement will show all regular deposits, withdraws, loans, debits, credits, term deposits and other details not relevant to remitting money. Chat was very poor English.

Strangely great experience – Remitly worked so well. I stupidly sent money to Kenya via MPesa before I read these reviews. It actually worked brilliantly but after reading all of these reviews, I'll probably go back to World Remit that I have been using for many years without any issues. I needed to send money urgently and the MPesa gateway that World Remit uses was down. I'd be confident enough to send money via remitly again if it's an emergency.
Remitly is Good – Fast service always with no problem. I read through those negative reviews and am convinced most of those have put wrong receiver information in or try cancel transaction. I have used Western Union and have had trouble with them. MoneyGram is ok, no trouble buy find Remitly easier and smoother to use.

Be careful with using remitly, my account was hacked, lost almost $500. I'm not sure if i'm ever going to get my money back as they seem to be unhelpful, just read some statements but no actual help with regarda to my situation. I worked hard for that money now I don't know if i'm ever going to get it back.

I have never used Remitly and would never consider using it. The ads played on 7 Plus for this product are constant - are they trying to brain wash us into using the service? I must have seen the same ad about a dozen times within 15 minutes while watching a tv show on 7 Plus. Give it a rest.

Customer service is not centralised and you have to write the whole story again from the beginning when you are stuck in making a emergency money transfer. Insensitive customer support. • PayPal service and product are insured at all times. In case you don't receive your transaction money, it will be returned to you.
●Remity terms and conditions, as you need to know the person you're transferring funding to on the app, don't show up as important legal documents where you need to read and agree to the terms to continue using Remity when opening this account, it doesn't.
●Who knows every person in this world, and we are all strangers, and normally this transaction has to be with trust, patience, and resilience. Or at least an assurance on both parties that they will uphold their end of the bargain.
●This site, Remity, is attracting criminals to launder funds for criminal funding around the world. Because it has low security on transactions. It is a home where criminals can make their claim on innocent people's hard-earned cash and innocent and broken personalities are prey upon.
●I think keep well away from this Remity. They are more interest is transaction interest than in the patron's transaction safety. They have terms and conditions to protect themselves and criminals who use this app. And plus I was told I have 5% chance of getting my money back, that's no hope. add insult to injury, they irriversibly suspended my account without notification. I only found out when I tried to login. I again contacted them to appeal against this unjust treatment, only to be responded to with what looked like a AI generated letter full of excuses, and again backing their agent leaving me the customer out in the cold with a permenently closed account. When I finally managed to speak to a manager, I was informed that my account had been permanently suspended simply because I used my second debit card — which is also under my name and had already been verified. Before the suspension, I completed every verification requirement, including the video verification, ID check, and bank statement submission.
Throughout the process, I was repeatedly told that my account was “under review” and that I would be updated. That never happened. Instead, I ended up overseas with a small child, unable to access my own funds, and completely stuck because of their actions. It is unacceptable that they can close your account at any time, without proper communication or a valid reason, especially when it puts your safety and well-being at risk.
To make matters worse, I was told that this decision cannot be changed and that I am not allowed to open a new account. Please stay away for your own safety.
