Sadly, I had built a lot of faith in Reolink until I was given the cold shoulder.

Absolute garbage product Purchased two 833A cameras and both fogged up at night time making the recorded video useless. Condensation forms inside on the lens which causes backlight compensation to flare up the image. Spoke to customer support and was advised a firmware update would fix the issue. Then I was forced to move it to see if that would solve the problem. Put them in the bin and moved on. Show details

Do not buy these cameras Total waste of money. I bought 3 Argus 3 Pro. They start off OK but outside and undercover the parts start corroding with them ending up hanging and not capturing what is needed and there is NO support or even option of buying the corroded parts - Their response was to buy another lot with minor discounts!!! Never Again! Should be NO stars!!! Show details
Power is on LAN light lit on the router from ethernet to the camera App - scan QR code - "unable to connect" PC client - add UID - "error offline" Don't waste your money!!
Good product, terrible support – The product itself delivers as promised but the support is the worst. It appears they outsource it to a 3rd party warranty company and don't do anything to have someone answer questions directly, only offer to replace the product. The solar panel is inadequate to keep the camera charged.

I have bought the Reolink 12MP PoE NVR Security System with 6 Cameras and 2 TB. All I can say is I’m pretty impressed with camera quality. The user interface on the NVR is simple enough. But it’s not super simple either. I did find how to transfer videos of event I want to a USB drive. I have also setup the cameras to alert when detected a person… Read more

Works For Me – Wow ... I'm reading so many negative reviews !! My experience is almost exactly opposite. There are some things to know about surveillance systems which probably apply to any brand of system before complaining about "the cameras". I started with a handful of Reolink Wireless Cameras, specifically to connect via 5GHz wifi (as it's much faster… Read more
than 2.4GHz WiFi) and a 16 Channel PVR recorder. I also installed Micro SD cards in the cameras. I think it's fair to say I had TERRIBLE trouble getting the cameras to work, with one or two dropping out, then as they came back on line, one or two others would drop out and in order to replay video from the cameras I would frequently need to take the SD card out of a camera and plug it straight into my PC.
I was also experiencing some strange interference problems on other connected devices around the house which led me to think outside the square and after many months of troubleshooting and investigation I came to a significant realisation .... IT WASN'T THE REOLINK CAMERAS AT FAULT. The bottom-line was the modem/router and the extra router I was using, despite being half-reasonable under normal demand, they were simply inadequate for the demands the high-bandwidth video I was sending from multiple cameras and the system was overwhelmed, resulting in the router effectively allocating what bandwidth it had available and excluding whatever else wanted to access it.
I fixed the problem by completely turning off WiFi on the standard modem/router and buying the mother of all WiFi routers (on E-Bay, not wallet-breakingly expensive) which came with 2 separate 5GHz WiFi channels plus one 2.4GHz channel, running cable from the modem, through the roof to the new router high up in a cupboard and changing as many cameras as possible away from WiFi to direct Cat6 cable to the PVR. I also found there was a lot of interference in the roof from neighbors WiFi systems so I also changed the modem-to router cabling into an optical-digital connection which isn't affected by the interference, further improving the reliability of the overall system.
So ..... a lot of talk about things other than the Reolink cameras themselves and quite an amount of cost and installation effort BUT the point is .... all the "camera problems" DISAPPEARED and I now have always-connected cameras without fear of dropouts and I can access the live and/or recorded video feeds via a monitor or via my phone from anywhere in the world. All using the cameras I bought at the outset (and a few more along the way).
So in my experience, the Reolink cameras are pretty good and as long as you have good infrastructure around the house to accommodate them you should be very happy..
So far, reolink is offering a VERY solid product for the price point – I invested heavily in a 8ch NVR system. 2x cx410’s 4x cx810s. 1x 823A PTZ 1xRLC810A 1x 12MP 1224A The build quality of the cameras is nothing short of fantastic. The setup was straight forward. The app is consistently fast. And the quality of footage is crisp at all times. Adding cameras one at a time was seamless and automatic. The app… Read more
notifications are reliable and timely.
Replaying footage is easy to access.
The colour night vision on the CX410’s and 810 models is quite spectacular considering how low the light is. Admittedly I didn’t realize it needed its floodlights on very low to work effectively and ramps up with movement. I’m not sure what I was expecting.
Tracking on the PTZ camera is solid and reliable.
Negatives (3 so far):: - the cameras often detect my kids as pets. (But this is probably more of an issue with the PTZ which is looking down onto the driveway from 2 stories up, so it sees their hair first before a standard body outline.) - the zoom function on the RLC810 is pretty useless as the auto focus is terrible and slow/ sometimes never gets in focus. If you do manually zoom, the quality is great once zoomed in. - the review of footage often shows movement detected throughout the entire day or night even though nothing is moving, which makes it harder to filter for an event, although there is pages of customization I’m sure I could tweak this.

I have hard wired all cameras and used the included Ethernet gland seal, plus I have used dielectric grease on the plugs. I don’t see why I won’t get many many years of reliable service out of these cameras!
As long as reolink maintains a steady focus on customer support and security protocols, I will happily use and recommend them to anyone now and well into the future!
I also bought a pair of cameras directly off them, which I subsequently changed my mind as they weren’t the ideal camera for the spot I needed them - reolink accepted the return and refunded my money after a few emails back and forward. (I then bought 2 others).
My only criticism with that process is that I had to reply multiple times saying I was happy for them to close the support ticket and we went in a loop several times. It kept sending reminders to reply else the support ticket would close. Eventually I ignored it. It just seemed like I had to be rude to get it to stop.
Overall. I’m very impressed with the company and their products so far.
If anything changes I’ll come back and update.
If you’re in the market for cameras, avoid cloud / battery or wireless cameras, I promise you, you will miss critical events and quality of compressed wireless footage is hit and miss!!!!! Run Ethernet cables and never look back.
9.5/10 for reolink so far.

I purchased a Reolink Home Hub as part of a bundle deal directly from Reolink that included a couple of battery / solar powered cameras. However, their Home Hub product, which promises centralised recording rather than… Read more
recording on individual cameras microSD card, I found to be a bit of a dud. The Home Hub is supposed to provide its own WiFi network for all of the cameras to connect to instead of them connecting to your home router / WAP. Unfortunately, the network signal from the device is weak and laggy, so most of the cameras either won't connect or the connection frequently drops out.
After some experimentation with this device ( I am a Cisco qualified IT Network technician) I found that it was not a great solution, so decided to request returning it to Reolink a week later (well within the 30 day satisfaction guarantee).
Reolink make it very difficult to return a product you don't want. In fact they actively discourage you from doing so, first offering a cash discount ($15) to keep the product.
Finally, after many emails requesting a return they agreed and offered my $118 refund, even though the product was selling for $199 on their website!
Ten days after paying the postage ($19.50) to have the HH delivered to their Sydney address I am yet to receive my paltry refund.
I am quite happy with the Reolink cameras I received, but have found that Reolink customer service is very poor.
So, beware if purchasing Reolink products. Be sure you will want to keep it, because returning them is extremely difficult and costly!

The reviews and write up on the Duo3 Wifi stated that you could easily identify people faces and number plates, well this is incorrect and picture quality is very pixelated. When they introduced the Argus PT Ultra I bought three, soon heavily discounted, which should have rang alarm bells, they worked perfectly for a year, then all failed. I contacted support, got the "Bot" instead of a real person. TLDR: I have had a frustrating experience with the Reolink E1 Pro. While the image quality is decent when the camera actually works, the Wi-Fi connectivity is fundamentally flawed and unreliable. indicates a strong Wi-Fi signal to the device. I have many other smart home devices and another Reolink battery camera that work perfectly on the same network, so the issue is clearly isolated to this specific model.
Support Experience: To Reolink’s credit, their support team is responsive, and they did eventually agree to a "cross-shipment" replacement after some back-and-forth about return postage. However, the replacement unit has the exact same problem. Within 24 hours of installing the new camera, it dropped offline and required a manual power cycle.
The support team keeps pushing "special firmware" updates and suggesting my network is unstable, despite evidence to the contrary. If you are looking for a "set and forget" security solution, this isn't it. You’ll likely find yourself power-cycling the unit or troubleshooting firmware more often than actually viewing your footage.
Pros: Responsive customer service. Good image quality when connected.
Cons: Extremely poor Wi-Fi stability. Issues persist across replacement units (suggests a design/firmware flaw). Requires frequent manual power cycles. App frequently shows 0kbps despite good signal.
Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend this model if you rely on it for consistent monitoring. It seems to be a lottery whether the Wi-Fi will stay connected for more than 24 hours.
Reostink! Australian installers beware, out of 3 orders I have had two faulty cameras! The first one took me weeks to get any decent support and it took me purchasing a replacement camera myself and initiating a PayPal dispute to cover my losses. The second one has not been addressed by ReoLink at all and I’ve been left with the cost of a replacement camera!!! Show details
