Hot air blows only on left side of louvre? Any ideas?

if you look at the louvers with them at eye level, you will see it is sealed on the right hand side. Only the left side has an opening

What can I do about fumes? I have one in the lounge room and I get headaches from the fumes. I keep the filters clean etc.

There are a few things you should be aware of. 1. Flue-less gas room heaters need to be installed into a ventilated room. (NOT a bedroom, hallway, bathroom etc) 2. All flu-less gas room heaters require regular servicing. (build up of dust and other particles can cause incomplete combustion)

3. Flue-less gas room heaters are not permitted in some states. (Victoria is one)

4. You should always have a window slightly cracked open for oxygen.

5. You should always be aware that these types of gas room heaters are constantly burning the oxygen in the room, if the oxygen is not circulated into the room, obviously you will get sick and possibly die. Getting headaches is a sure sign that there is a problem.

Get the services of a Licensed gas fitter to service your heater and check the installation.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks yes it helps. I'm a renter and the plumber fitted this a few months ago to replace an old broken one. It was ok for a while so I guess the elements build up with dirt fast. I'll let the landlord know so it can be checked out thanks.

We are looking to heat an area of around 60sqm of space mostly in one elongated room with a few small rooms off it. I needed to ask a few questions 1. Is this heater large enough to handle that? 2. Does it dry out floors as suggested by a review I read earlier on another model - we have just had timber laminate flooring put down and don't want it ruined. 3. Does it need to be fluid if using natural gas? It's not a really well ventilated room, rather the kitchen window and an adjoining room have windows open to ventilate in the winter but is this enough?

Appreciate your feedback. Also considering the DY15N model we are replacing a natural gas heater that is more basic and it doesn't require a power point from memory it is just hold down ignition.

Thank you for your question. In general our heaters are designed to be 1 room heaters so while you may get some heat that will go through to other areas, it will depend on the airflow in the area. The Enduro heater is recommended for areas 28-51 square metres, so may not be suitable for the area mentioned.

Th operating instruction do recommend placing a mat in front of the heater to protect the flooring in front of the heat emanating from the front of the appliance. Our operating instructions are available on the Rinnai Australia website.

Our portable range of heaters run on Natural Gas and LPG and there is an important requirement for ventilation in the room. Unlike flued heaters there will be some combustion product in the room and there needs to be adequate ventilation to ensure this combustion product dissipates.

The Dynamo heater does require a power point to operate, you may be thinking of one of our radiant heaters as they run on a battery to operate the ignition.

There are a lot of variables to take into consideration when choosing a heater so would recommend taking to our friendly staff on 1300 555 545 and they can run through the options you have for the area you wish to heat. Our technical help line can advise on the ventilation requirements needed for each heater, they are available on the same number and are available Monday to Friday from 8.00am - 5.30pm
