Can this be shipped to Norfolk Island?

Rinnai
Rinnai   DM

Hi Connie, Apologies for the delay in reply to your question. Is your Granada 252 a Natural Gas or LPG Unit? If your Granada 252 is a Natural Gas Heater and the gas supply on Norfolk Island is LPG your heater will need to be converted to LPG for use on an LPG Gas supply. We advise checking the gas type for your heater and the gas supply on Norfolk Island.

To have your heater converted from one gas type to another we would recommend booking a service call. Please refer to our website with the following link external link  or contacting our Service Department on 1300 555 545 (option 2).

Thanks

Rinnai Australia

My heater is about 2 years old and is excellent however in the last few days if I turn the fan on it seems to blow out the pilot light. Is that a heater problem or gas problem?

Last week I had to have my gas hot water unit serviced as the pilot would not light. Is there such a thing as dirty gas like dirty petrol that can cause mechanical problems with your car?

Rinnai
Rinnai   DM

Hi Jinks,

Thanks for the question.

It may be a gas supply issue as gas can be affected by impurity’s like dust or corrosion.

Please contact our Technical help desk for further assistance on 1300 555 545.

Thanks, Rinnai Australia

Can this heater be used with/connected to a standard 9kg gas (BBQ) bottle? How long would a 9kg bottle likely last using the heater for 1-2 hours a day? Thanks!

Rinnai
Rinnai   DM

Hi Brendan, Thanks for the question. AGA rules state that our heaters are to be connected by a bayonet point installed internally, not to a 9-kilo bottle like a BBQ. Should you wish to discuss this matter further we would recommend contacting our Technical Department. They can be reached on 1300 555 545 (option 3).

Hi, I'm concerned about my child tipping the heater over when it is turned off. I'd like to attach a chain between the unit and my wall to stop it from tilting. Is there an official way to do this?

THe Bear

No such problems with ours, front protective guard obviously gets hot but not the top. No sign of discolouration, we run ours with three burners on all the time. Regards Peter aka THe Bear ps suggest you contact Rinnai

Hi Roger H, Thanks for the question. Being that the heater is an unflued heater, we recommend for your safety to have the heater properly checked out by a gas service technician or our 1st service department on 1300 555 545.

Safety is important with all gas appliances and should be serviced every 2 years.

Thanks, Rinnai Australia

Hi I just received a Granada Mk2 off my parents and they said it hasn’t been lit for years. I plugged it in and tried it but couldn’t get it to stay lit. So it has a blue flame when ignited and stays lit but after you take your finger off the button (after 15-20) seconds it goes out. Can you help

Rinnai

Hi - thanks for that - the ignition is now working but the first button isn't staying down so the gas won't remain on. Any advice?

Rinnai
Rinnai   DM

Hu Nik v, has the unit been serviced recently? We do recommend servicing gas appliances every 2 years to ensure maximum safety and reliability. Without inspection it is difficult to diagnose what may be causing the issue.

Thanks Rinnai Australia
