Outstanding service from quotation through to installation and all done at the best price from 5 quotes. I paid my deposit on 26/2 and installation happened on 4/3. A company with a long history that can be trusted. Highly recommended. Show details
Follow-up · Rite Price installed a Mitsubishi Electric PEA=M180HAA 17kw cooling 20kw heating reverse cycle unit, utilising our existing ducting work and outlets, with wi-fi module. This replaced a 15 year old Daikin unit. The workmanship and cleanup were excellent and the old units were taken away. The system has worked seamlessly since installation and is easily controlled via the wi-fi app.
Wouldn't use again, quote was good, installation of main split system was good, unfortunately the wires have been left hanging out the wall with no conduit, been going on for weeks now still not resolved. On three occasions a technician was supposed to come, on three occasions they called in sick, then someone came who didn't know what to do.… Read more
Also, water runs down our walls from the moisture pipe. Its been going on for about a month now. Also as soon as your unit is installed you will get numerous emails and text messages on the same day to remind you to pay the bill. My advice is don't until your job has been done to a satisfactory standard. On the upsise and the 2 stars are for the poor young people on reception who has to deal with all of this ,they do their best bless them. Don't expect a call from a manager you will not get one
Not sure how much worse they could be. They quoted us for an "add on" wifi control (an extra $999), which we went for. On the day, the electrician told me my property "stinks", after demanding to know where the installer was (pretty sure the… Read more
scheduling team would have had this info rather than a bewildered customer), and saying he should have been the last to arrive. The wrong panel was installed, which is when we discovered that the system's included panel already had wifi control, so we had been sold a $999 product for no reason. Power was knocked out to the entire kitchen, leaving me with no fridge or stove etc for an entire day. Then there was argument between electrician and rite price as to whose fault it was that the wrong product had been installed. The programming of the system was illogical, meaning that only one zone could be run at half power, and the others had to run concurrently at full power but this was not explained to me so it appeared the panel was faulty. I queried the sales guy who had zero product knowledge. The installer asked if I was going to keep the old split system and I said yes, but then half of it was taken away. When I contacted them to return it, it took two weeks and it was brought back damaged and missing pieces. Rite price said it was returned in the same condition it was removed (untrue) and refused to do anything as the original quote said it was to be disposed of. At this point, it's been 4 weeks and I still have a busted split system littering my yard. The installer left plastic packaging rubbish strewn across my garden. They damaged a light fitting and now the globe randomly falls out.. every time I email, I'm either ignored or promised a call back which never happens. Absolute anchors.
Follow-up · Customer service response was insulting. They were rude and dismissive, and hounded the tenant for the full cost of the quoted system (which was not what was installed) and threatened debt collection. It took over a month of weekly reminders for the damaged split to be removed and no mention was made of the litter left behind.

These guys act like they will live forever – This contractor failed at a most basic level to service my air conditioner. They came out on the 28th of November, the cost was 150, couldn't even get me a quote to repair the unit until the 23rd of the next month. This is after waiting a couple weeks to get someone out to look at the poxy unit. Totally had time to chase me for the 150 before… Read more
actually sending me out a quote a month later though (because after they send out a technician to not do his job, he still needs paying? Are they on drugs? I'm not sure). At this point the only reason they are in business is that this is a licensed profession. Ended up buying a mobile air conditioner from the good guys a day after these nothing burgers had already wasted 3 weeks of my time. These Muppets took waaay too long and then come to me with a thousand dollar quote to repair a unit that costs 1200 to install. Can't even do it today. And the other guy could have done it that day. Apparently we need to wait for the parts to come in. On a standard air conditioner that they service all the time. Wow. Just wow. So if you like creating problems for yourself, are dumb, rich, and love waiting, these guys are perfect. 1 star I feel is overly generous. Avoid like the plague.

Nightmare of a company – Where do I start... they reschedule my evaporative cooler install 3 times because they double book jobs. They cracked my celling and didn't bother to tell me until I pointed it out. The installer said they will report that and the plaster guy will come to fix it at a later date. It wasn't reported and I had to tell the lady at the service office… Read more
about that, but they eventually did fix the ceiling 2 weeks later.
They also had to turn off the water at the meter to install the evaporative cooler and when they turned it back on, it would only turn on just a little to a trickly because there was a fault with the meter but left it like that and then they left and didn't tell me about it. So I complained about the water trickling out of the tap slowly and one of the workers did come back to fix it by using a tool to turn it on full flow, a week later! The water meter had to be replaced because it was old and rusted. But I could not have a shower in the meantime.
They came back numerous times to fix other small problems but the last time they had come back which the Seeley cleaning service guy, that had cleaned & service my unit in the meantime, had advised me to do was to call Rite Price to fix the air leaks at the dropper. So after a couple of weeks, the Rite Price guy came back to fix it and he said that's the best he can do about it. Also, I had noticed every now and then, white dust was settling on top of my tables and on top of my black coffee. Thinking it was coming from outside?
Now comes the worst part! From then on it got worse and I had itchy feet first then itchy skin all over and breathing problems thinking it was pollen from the trees at first. This went on for three weeks until I had an asthma attack. So until then, I thought pollen from the trees had caused the asthma attack, (which has never happened to me before with pollen) also some pink batts installation and the white duct installation had blown out of the vents, then I thought something is afoot here so I had to check where all the dust is coming?
I went into the roof space to have a look, and notice well... he had left off one the ducts from the dropper off a bit and about a 5 inch gap was exposed at the bottom part of it and there was a hole under the dropper about the size of a thumbs diameter. That was blowing onto the pink batts insulation and making a lot of dust. So I had to fix that and when I was up there I had vacuumed up all the gyprock dust left over when they had cut out the vent holes. I now know where all that white dust was coming from and settling on top of my tables and black coffee.
There were numerous large and small rips in the ducts and spare parts and rubbish left in the roof space that I had cleaned up for them. Also, they cut one of the roof struts and left it dangling, which they should have put back somehow so the roof won't make that ping & pang sound when the weather changes. I took photos and sent them an email about the problem and called and left messages as well, but they will not reply to my email or call me back.
I will take this matter further because the ducts are damaged and contaminated with pink batts fibers and need to be replaced and my carpets need to be deep steam cleaned because my vacuum won't get it all out. In the meantime, I have to cough and spit all that pink batt insulation and that white duct insulation out of my lungs. My chest hurts a lot and my doctor said my lungs have been irritated from the insulation and may take months to recuperate. I now have to wear a face mask inside my house and cannot use the evaporative cooler.
As one other customer here had said, you must go into the ceiling to check on there work.
Thanks, Rite Price for the nightmare!

half of the second day sitting in their van , the electrician was organised for another day after all the duct work had already been put in a tight roof space and required my help , after final installation and test 2 of the outlets didn't work , another day they came and checked , removed sheeting finding that two ducts were not taped up so weren't even connected , another day they organised to patch up old ceiling outlets of which there were 7 but the repairer could only do 2 on that day so four weeks later came back to finish remaining 5 vents , all up the job took six days which as a self employed person massively interrupted my work schedule, and for this they deducted $300 . $300 for 6 days of loss of time and work for myself . For all the above reasons I will let the readers make up their own minds on whether or not to use them . The office girls were polite and sympathetic and the tradesman who patched the ceiling did a great job , the rest was completely unsatisfactory
Follow-up · No system wasn't working properly until they returned to fix outlets not connected in roof space , also the 300 dollar refund was because I complained about some compensation for myself losing 6 days of work as I am self employed , so 300 dollars was a pitiful compensation as for clean up it was ok not great but ok

very good. It heats the house up to the required setting in a couple of minutes, haven't received a power bill yet but I don't expect any surprises there. Rite Price were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. From the salesman to the office staff they all made us feel welcome
Follow-up · We are not happy. Our outside unit leaks water all over the place when running, the installers neglected to tell us there was no drainpipe fitted to the unit. Now what happens is the water drip out the drain hole onto the cement pools there and then runs down between the cement & side wall of the house, not good. We contacted the service centre… Read more

A huge thanks to Mark from Rite Price Heating & Cooling ! Arrived punctually to install our Rangehood that required some roof assembly , carried out the work professionally and with a great friendly personality . Mark also showed me the completed photos taken from the roof to ensure all the work was done as instructed . We can 100% recommend Mark and Rite Price Heating & Cooling for amazing customer service !
Mark was amazing. Once he arrived he looked at the control panel and worked out the issue. Heating is now going through the whole house from all the vents and not just one. Thank you so much!
Originally had our ducted gas unit fitted by the rite price team and they did a great job . a few years later there was an issue with the unit so we got another nameless company to check it out we were advised the unit needed fixing at a cost of $2000 we got a second quote by rite price and they were $700 cheaper we gave the go ahead and rite… Read more

Rite Price Heating and Cooling installed our brand-new air conditioning system last summer. Unfortunately, just one year later, the system failed during a period of extreme heat. When we contacted the company, there was no sense of urgency. Despite explaining that we were without air conditioning during a heat wave, we were given an appointment… Read more
two weeks later. Prior to the service visit, we advised the company that the issue appeared to be the fan motor and specifically requested that it be repaired during the appointment.
When the technician arrived, they confirmed that the issue was indeed the fan motor. However, we were then told that nothing would be done because it was considered a Sealy warranty issue. We were informed that Sealy was not available until the following Tuesday, leaving us without a functioning system during a heat wave.
Based on our own research, fan motor failures in brand-new systems are commonly associated with improper installation. Despite this, Rite Price Heating and Cooling showed no willingness to take responsibility or offer any interim solution. The lack of accountability, urgency, and customer care was extremely disappointing.
Had we known this is how issues would be handled, we would have chosen a different company. This experience has left us with serious concerns regarding the quality of the installation, the level of service provided, and the overall professionalism of this business.
Unit itself was fine. Everything about the instillation was wrong. Temperature probe was left lying on the joists so the unit thought the roof temperature, was the house temperature, so ran at full speed till we froze and turned the unit off. Ducting was not connected properly, so the roof space got most of the cooling. Glue was knocked over and… Read more
spilled onto our doorframe , door and carpet. Controller unit was not set at all so it told the unit wrong information. Legal action was threatened when I said I wasn't paying until it was fixed, The company person who came to see me looked me in the eye and lied twice to my face. We had to get another company to fix all the problems and a painter to paint all doorframes again so they matched. Carpet in three rooms was replaced as the original carpet was no longer availiable. "Not our problem" we were told. Cost me thousands to fix. Never agin with these clowns!!!
I had a new AC unit installed by Rite Price Heating and Cooling in January. The AC unit itself works great and performs as expected, but unfortunately, the installation process was very disappointing due to poor service and communication. Here’s a summary of my experience: The installation was scheduled and then cancelled twice, meaning I had to… Read more
take multiple days off work with no notice or compensation. When I raised this, I was just told “it happens.”
When the installers finally arrived on the third attempt, they were late and missing essential equipment.
Despite having gone over the install details (inside/outside locations, returns, etc.) multiple times beforehand, the installers seemed unaware of the plan and were confused on site.
The installers initially preferred to place the outdoor unit in my main entertaining area, which I didn’t want. Later, they said it wouldn’t fit where I wanted it mounted on the wall and claimed they’d need to cut my downpipes—however, this was contradicted after measurements were rechecked.
I asked for notice before any fence removal (my backyard is a cat run), but without warning, the fence was taken down and my cats went missing for a while. I had to refit the fence myself.
The old unit removal was careless:
The person access point (roof access hatch) was damaged during removal of the old unit.
The unit was carried solo and knocked into walls and the front door, causing damage and gouges.
The return air duct was cut inside the roof with a reciprocating saw, damaging the wall as well.
Tiles were untouched, but the ridge capping was damaged over a 3-metre section, and my sisalation (roof insulation) was cut away and pulled out, then left exposed and unrepaired.
Due to missing equipment, the installers had to return the following week to finish the job.
Communication from Rite Price after installation was extremely poor:
Not once did they reach out to apologise for the multiple delays and poor handling.
I reported the damage multiple times but was ignored for weeks.
I waited almost six months to get a total of about six hours of repair work done.
It feels like they just take your money and hope you’ll go away.
When a manager finally came out, he was friendly and promised to fix everything, but nothing happened for weeks.
Eventually, after persistent chasing, I got a repair booking a month later.
The repair technician was excellent—friendly, professional, and helpful. He noted everything and returned a few weeks later to complete the repairs.
Repairs needed due to installation issues:
Repair and patch damage to the person access point (roof access hatch).
Fix damage to walls caused by careless handling of the unit.
Repair gouges on the front door.
Restore the return air duct and repair associated wall damage.
Repair damaged ridge capping (3-metre section).
Replace and reinstate sisalation insulation that was cut and pulled out.
Repair or replace damaged downpipes if applicable.
Summary: The AC unit itself works very well, but the installation service by Rite Price was poor. The multiple cancellations, lack of preparation by installers, careless handling of property, and very slow response to damage complaints left me extremely frustrated. If you want a great AC unit, Rite Price can provide that—but if you want a smooth, professional installation and good communication, I’d be cautious.

and tidy with tiles replaced, and explained the system once installed. My very old Evaporative Cooling unit and ducting was removed and taken away - very happy about this service. The vent patching job was also very well managed, which was undertaken a couple of weeks later. On my experience I would definitely recommend Rite Price, an excellent job was done by all.
Just had an air conditioner installed can’t speak highly enough of the 2 installers worked very well together totally in sync. Cleaned up extremely well and removed all the rubbish again a job well done oh and the air conditioner works really well too we have very cold mornings here so looking forward to using the air conditioner again thank you for a job well done. I purchased a bedroom split system and installation by Rite Price, and am very happy. The whole process from quoting to final installation was easy. I was kept informed at every stage, and they provided useful tips and information. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. I was also pleased with the price, and they were the most competitive. Very Disappointed!! I paid over $850 to repair my cooler. Less than 2 years, same issue, same part broke again. Call their warranty team, no record showed in their system. It took them 2 weeks to find my record, but told me that will charge me again for repair. Found another repairer, fixed the issue with less cost. I won't recommend any of my friends to use Rite Price again.
Worst Experience Do Not Recommend – We purchased a ducted heating/cooling AirConditioning system through Rite Price. A consultant came out and recommended a unit for our home. the unit installed for just under $10K. We noticed after a few days of hot weather the unit was struggling and not doing the job. After numerous phone calls and tradesmen coming out to check our unit we were told by the service technicians "the unit is too small". Rite Price were aware that what the consultant recommended to us was incorrect, numerous Service Technicians told us the unit was not what our house required, conveniently the consultant was no longer with the company. Rite Price kept "passing the buck" in regards to our unit and took no responsibility. They said they could replace the unit if we were prepared to spend an extra $5500.!! Absolute joke and rip off. For a company as large as theirs to treat a customer the way they treated us is disgusting!! They could have easily acknowledged their mistake and done the right thing. I would NEVER recommend Rite Price to anyone.do yourself a favour and shop around. We are currently sitting in our house on a hot day and our house can only achieve 29 degrees inside.
A job well done! – Adelaide. Evap air con maintenance + roof safety angles installed on steep roof. Mark is very pleasant and efficient . He explained everything. Advised when on his way. Be prepared to pay on the spot.
Ducted Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Water Heater – Recently we engaged Rite Price to install a Ducted Air Conditioning system to our house & a short while later a Heat Pump Water Heater. the various options explained in terms we as pensioners could understand. The Rite Price team ensured we received all of the available government incentives and grants for our Heat Pump water heater which certainly helped with the installation costs. We had a sola system installed with an appropriate battery system so we are now pretty much self sufficient with our power costs and we receive credits from our power suppliers, as pensioners this allows us to run the heating & cooling without having to worry about crippling costs. Bottom line... Rite Price is a great company to deal with and we would certainly thoroughly recommend their services to anyone wanting any of the services offered by them.

Unfunny comedy of errors – Promised installation of replacement unit for ducted aircon on a single storey house would take one day. motor from roof space so threw it from roof into a tree.
When transporting new unit to side of house, technicians somehow dented a cover panel and snapped off a copper pipe, enveloping our yard, neighbour's yard and street in a huge cloud of gas. Next day, rewelded pipe but couldn't fully regas new unit. Tried again day after that... still unsuccessful A week passed. New technician came with equipment to finish regassing new unit. By this time partially exposed new unit had been rained on and barely counts as new.
Meanwhile finance department sent daily emails demanding payment despite job being incomplete and aircon being unusable.
One month later, job remains incomplete.
good evaporative repair and service – Stuart came around on time, rang me beforehand. He serviced and fixed a bad solenoid in my evaporative unit; explained the errors the system was having; checked it was no longer under warranty. All good.
Decent prices, poor install experience – A few sections here. Purchased a ducted system, 4 outlets 3 zones 10kw system. System is for 3 bedrooms and a large hallway (3m ceilings hence the 10kw unit). one of the other companies to add a spill vent which I got rite price to add to the design. No complaints here and the price was better than the rest, still a large profit margin but very competitive relative to some of the other absolute ripoffs (REQ, MAD air conditioning).
Install Rite price unfortunately subcontract their installs, our team didn’t speak much English which made it difficult to communicate/verify things. The return air vent was the wrong size so install couldn’t be completed for another week and the outlet vents were very wonky which needed rectification. The installers didn’t give us the serial numbers before putting the unit in the roof (needed for warranty and cashback) and didn’t give us the manuals either. Not a great experience as we ended up having 4 total visits, if I didn’t work from home I would have had a very unhappy employer and also just a bit painful. All of this was easily avoidable by looking in the roof prior to install, giving us the paperwork that comes with the unit and a quick measurement for vents before whacking holes in peoples ceilings, pretty simple stuff.
To their credit the people who actually work for rite price were easy to communicate with and helped us throughout the process. Unfortunately the use of subcontractors (probably not getting paid very well in their defence) made install a pretty bad experience for us.
Overall: decent price, decent support from the company, bad install experience.
excellent service and on time as required – Split A/c unit cleaned and serviced --- easy booking for a specific time ----- maintenance personal arrived exactly on time ----- very thorough and efficient cleaning program and metered checks carried out in detail ----- all operational modes closely monitored in final check ---- i purchased this unit from this company so view this as great backup service ---- most satisfied . Bad installation causes system inefficiency – DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS! Our installation in 2020 was a farce. We had them back on a few occasions and trusted everything was OK. issues and we now have a system that is 100% better than it ever was. Their contractors must have been cheap as their work was rough. they even trapped existing wiring under their unit. No show . . . can't be bothered to let us know! – Our water cooler's drain pipe was blocked and it was no longer draining. So far, so good . . .
A week ago, it clogs up again. We recontacted Rite Price and asked them to inspect the unit for free since it was given a clear bill of health a month or so before. They told us they would come Monday between 12 and 4:00pm, so I blocked my afternoon, we opened the gates, put our long-suffering dog in a room and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. At 5:00 pm, my wife rang Rite Price up to see whether the serviceman was coming or not only to hear that their standard was only open until 04:00pm.
We both found the attitude of Rite Price difficult to understand: all it took was one phone call or an SMS to let us know.
This is how one loses long-term customers. Is this really something you want to be doing in this economic environment?
