situation, emphasising that it was urgent. All I heard was, 'Leave it with me.' A few days later, still nobody contacted me. I made another follow-up call and heard the same thing. In fact, someone was supposed to contact me the same day, but nobody did.

Two weeks later, I gave up waiting and kept following up, eventually finding an installer on my own. He quickly came over, took the measurements, and requested a quote. Everything went smoothly, but guess what—they couldn’t complete it within the needed timeframe anymore, which was too late for me.

The representative I was speaking with didn’t care about my situation at all. If she had told me they didn't have an installer available instead of giving me misleading information that 'he would contact me the same day,' I would have organised an installer on my own from the start, and there wouldn’t be a problem now.

The worst thing is that when I called them to explain the situation, they refused to take the blame and, in fact, left me with the impression that it was all my fault.

Terrible experience—they lost a customer. To everyone reading this review, do not trust what they tell you, as it may turn out to be 100% untrue.

Exceptional Product and Service – Quality all the way. We did the usual visit all the showrooms to see what is available to change out 2 timber French doors. to check at home. No pressure, just helpful advice and a contact name for a quote if wanted to go further. Contacted Lambes, explained what we wanted. Estimate quote came through next day. Next step, site visit with Lambes, firm up the quote with any extras. Excepted the quote, visited the showroom to confirmed color's, locks etc. Install date scheduled, confirmed with a phone call. It was all so easy. Rylock are not cheap, but you do get what you pay for, Quality, that's what we wanted. What a difference it makes once the doors installed. From the very start, the girls in the showroom to Lambes and his team of installers. Nothing short of exceptional product and service from start to finish.

aluminium sections and well sealed from air leaks, he also talked us into using double glazing that does cost a bit more but the result is it does insulate the windows and doors resulting in a warmer home and keeps out sounds of Vehicles and animals etc. extremely quiet until a window is opened, we also have an Entry Door it is well sealed all round and dead locked with 3 bolts and hung on 3 hinges. If I were to continue to Build I would certainly recommend and use Rylock Windows and Doors as we overlook Westernport Bay it is very windy at times and no noises or leaks. PS. on reading some of the reviews complaints wet plaster air leaks etc. if installed correctly flashings are required at the sides and sill and any gap left at the top (head) for building movement needs to be flashed and providing the windows etc. are plumb and level and packed and fixed properly there should be no problems.

Water leaking through windows and doors even with many complaints and visits from tradesmen and factory management – We have had Rylock design the windows and doors at our holiday home at Port Victoria on Yorke Peninsular The upper floor windows and doors continually leak water inside despite visits from the company to address the problems. Could not get a quote – Reached out to local Rylock location, had someone come out and measure & talk through options. However after trying over a 12 months period, never received a quotation. was told "...yes, we do, really sorry about the delays...". After more than 12 months of trying, gave up and went for one of the uPVC windows instead. Windows themselves look great and would have been perfect, but at some point I need to know how much I need to pay and timeline to install.

Be aware. Good windows but poor quality control and installation service – Take note. We paid good money, approx $18K, for good double glazed sliding windows, once the one manufacture seal leak issue rectified during installation, but the installation and quality control poorly managed. this was not part of the contracted works (but the installer used my timber for blocks and packers which cost me to replace get timber) and I would need to do this SO ENSURE YOU HAVE THESE INCLUDED & IN WRITING ON YOUR ORDER/CONTRACT. Also old windows glass broken on grass, most but not all small shards picked up so I had to do this too as well as clean silicone residue off synthetic grass. I let all above go but then the last straw was finding the external flashings were partially but not fully caulked which I've had to do to ensure no leaks into the house.

Quality Workmanship – Last week we had double glazed windows installed by Rylock Care. The installers came on time and worked diligently to install the windows. They were well mannered and friendly. The windows look great and have certainly enhanced our house. We chose monument as the colour and we are very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend Lambes Scapetis company and would definitely use them again. Show reply

Poor service to Tasmania – Rylock only has a dedicated sales resource in Tasmania. They have no dedicated customer service or quality control resources in Tasmania, dedicated toward the actual customer, who is paying for their product. They effectively outsource all aspects of the process from installation, glass manufacture, glazing and freight. There appears to be little… Read more

responsibility or accountability for Rylock to the actual customer, as they have outsourced almost all aspects of the Tasmanian experience. In our case, this resulted in poor service and communication, confusion and extensive delays. Delays due to production errors, damage in transit, poor glass manufacture and installation, confusion over industry standards when it comes to quality control and remediation, as well as independent contractors' competing work demands. We did not feel our needs or timelines were being considered by Rylock, the glass suppliers or glass installers. The process was quite frustrating and disappointing for both us and our installer, who did his absolute best to coordinate all the various 'chiefs', to ensure the high quality promised by Rylock - in their marketing - was delivered. Our installer got the best possible result under the circumstances and we would gladly use him again. What started out as an exciting new addition to our home, has become a daily reminder of our frustration and disappointment. We are glad to finally have it behind us and to be moving on to our next venture. We have peace of mind that Rylock will not be part of the renovations to our new home. We now know to engage a Tasmanian manufacturer and supplier that offers local customer service and quality control services throughout the process. One that will accept and proudly be held directly accountable for the quality of their products and installation, by the people paying for the service - the end user, the customer.
