Does anyone know if I can get a replacement valve for an rpw140-g Ryobi pressure washer handle?

Does anyone know if Ryobi makes a turbo lance for the RPW140-G please? Bunnings has a RPW3 turbo lance but I don't know if it is compatible. I phoned Ryobi support and was connected to someone in the Philippines (based on her accent) but she had absolutely no idea what i was talking about. :(

You can get an adaptor for about $10.

Thank you Graeme. Is it a Ryobi brand adapter and do you have the part number?

I had the same problem .. push wand in towards the handle and turn. I placed the handle against my legs to pull handle in towards my lags then I turned it I think half way and it popped out.

How does RPW7 adapter connect with RPW140SC pressure washer and then to new replacement hose

Just bought an adapter for my RP140-G for $9 from Bunnings special orders. It fits into the gun and the accessories fit to that, if that is what you’re after. Can’t get the gun yet, so the adapter is the next best. Just after I’ve fitted everything, I found that the gun’s plastic internal connection to the brass trigger fittings is broken. I’m now looking for an aftermarket gun. Rod.

Just wanted to know why there’s no water pressure coming out of my pressure washer… I think it’s the wand bevy when I take it off and it’s just the hose there is pressure… can I fix the wand…

Hi all and thanks in advance

I have a RPW-140G and it has been working fine until yesterday I connect the water and the power bleed the system of air and pull the trigger. Pump kicks in and water flows out of the wand but not under pressure. I adjust the nozzle to vary the spray pattern but nothing no pressurised water!!

Have I lost a part in the nozzle that creates a restriction??

If I disconnect the hose and turn the washer on high pressure water comes out of the unit but not out of the wand!! Help!!

If you consulted the manual and checked the "Trouble Shooting" guide on P5 you would have some possible answers. See under: Machine Stops AND Machine Pulsating AND Machine starts but no water comes out - Nozzle Partially Blocked - Clean the nozzle - Water filter blocked - Clean the filter - Hose kinked - straigten the hose There are even more problems and answers listed if you want to check the manual

Some or all of these solutions may apply...

SOLUTION 1 - CLEAN THE NOZZLE (POSSIBLY BLOCKED) Remove the lance/nozzle and slide the long metal nozzle cleaner down inside the nozzle opening and move up and down. Then remove it and flush thoroughly with water from both sides starting from the front of the nozzle. Make sure the lance/nozzle pointing upwards so the particle/debris falls out! If you dont have a nozzle cleaner then use a large metal paper clip straightened out as straight as possible. SOLUTION 2 - CLEAN WATER FILTER (POSSIBLY BLOCKED) Remove the water filter (located where you connect the hose to the machine) and clean it thoroughly SOLUTION 3 - ADJUST NOZZLE WATER PRESSURE Most people dont realise that the nozzle actually has 2 adjustments: The front one for spray pattern/intensity and the rear one for water pressure. Turn the rear one to increase or decrease water pressure. I think its anti-clockwise for more pressure and visa versa. SOLUTION 4 - CHECK FOR A KINKED HOSE A kinked hose will restrict water flow. This applies to both the garden hose and the black high pressure hose, Best to leave the hose in the sun to soften the rubber before straightening as you might otherwise crack or damage the hose. GOOD LUCK

Thank you yes I did check the per file and none of the solutions are applicable to my situation. I have checked all the above and nothing is applicable to me

Just wondering where I can get a pressure hose for RPW140-G as mine split. Regards Neil

Amayzingone

Good luck with that one. Nobody stocks this hose. However luckily the high pressure hose connection to the machine is a common M22 screw-on type. So you should be able to get a compatible hose and gun kit from somewhere. I found a universal hose and gun kit on eBay for $38.45 delivered that looks like it has the same universal connection......eBay item number: 203628651290. Comes with longer 8M High tensile steel wire braid pressure washer hose, trigger gun with metal lance and 5 different quick-connect tips to cover all cleaning jobs. Rated at 2500psi. Just go to eBay and search for eBay item number: 203628651290.

high pressure hose connections to the machine screw-on end is NOT universal, Different brands have different threads/sizes.

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

Dear logi t. Sorry to say but that is not entirely correct - especially in this particlar case! I have used high pressure hoses with same M22 screw-on connection from 3 other machine brands on this model Ryobi Pressure washer. So there you go! See this Ryobi washer does use a "common" M22 screw-on fitting. Some models of Bosch and MechPro (Repco) pressure washers and most petrol washers use the same common M22 connection as well! But The Gerni brand from memory is a slightly different size so you would be correct in that case.

I turn the ignition switch to ON, it starts working for 2 seconds and turns off. After that, it won't start again.

CJ S.

Try pulling the trigger on the handle. Doesn’t run full time.

Amayzingone

If Dusan is actually pulling the handle, there might be a blockage in the nozzle or the "inlet" water filter

Buy RPW7 Adapter, looks like the end of Patio Cleaner but has a slightly different size that will fit in the gun. Had the same problem today. Bunnings at Lawnton Qld has three in stock, Ryobi has no stock.

just bought a ryobi 140-cant get any water pressure-any suggestions

BJ T.

Take the hose off and see if there is pressure at the machine, if there is, there is a blockage in the hose or the handle. I have found with 2 of these its been the end connection on the handle (where the water comes out) you can replace just this end portion for about $20-$30

Neil L

Have you tried adjusting both pressure adjustment rings? One gives a fine adjustment, the other a coarser adjustment. When I bought mine it was set at weak pressure - probably for sake of safety (for the thing you are cleaning) when you first use it.

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

Neil. That is correct. Aparently they are factory set to the lowest pressure so must be turned to the highest pressure.

The Hose lock button broke on my pressure washer, is there a replacement part for this? Looked everywhere online but no luck. Not the actual clip, the adapter connecting the hose and wand.

Read the instructions! Usually its a push inwards and then turn. Sometimes you must pull the wand out with some force after turning to release

I need a few extra metres in hose length to clean my roof. How can I either join two Ryobi hoses or get a comparable 20 m hose?

Neil L
Neil L

You can get an 8M extension hose for it (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-pressure-washer-steel-armed-hose_p0035862), I guess you could join more of those together if you need the total to be even longer.

Andy68
Andy68

You can purchase a extension hose with a M22-15mm connection on both ends and a M22-15mm Male joiner. The Extension cable will go from the RPW140-G to Ryobi Hose. If that hose is to hard to source, you can purchase a hose with an M22-14mm connection on both ends and M22-14 to M22-15 Male coupler plus a M22-15 Female swivel to M22-14 Male coupler .

Take your attachment off the hand piece, run it until detergent comes through, then use the attachment/wand that has the variable flow end on it. Rinse off with turbo wand attachment

What size o ring replacement on hose which goes to gun?

Gabe
Gabe

At the gun end of the hose, I used a 4.44mm inner diameter / 8.0mm outer diameter o-ring and it's working fine. Not sure about the other end as I've not had to replace that one yet. Lubricating them helps them last longer too.
