Poor quality workmanship & will not honor warranties – I was promised the job would take 3 days but ended taking months. I had a veranda enclosed, the room leaked from the get go. now it is leaking again and they will not honor their warranty. I have since found out a lot of their work is below standard. They are no good at technical work so no point using SA quality home improvements. Show details
Verandah – The whole process, from the quote, through to installation, was fantastic.
Roof restoration – Quality product delivered with quality service. Very happy customer, roof looks new. Communication with the company was excellent and things happened in a timely manner.
Beware! Look elsewhere. Lack of transparency, deceit, lies. Unreasonable hidden costs – If you call them out for after sales support under warranty, be sure to ask if there will be any charges. leaks into the house caused the ceiling to collapse. [Name Removed] was seen checking one small corner of the roof, took photos and determined their work was not faulty. In front of our builder and real estate agent, he made a call to the office, laughed, confirmed he would be gong to check another house in the next town. Based on checking one corner of the roof which took 5 minutes, he decided this was not a warranty case, not an issue with their work. He did not check the other 99.9% of their work. We were then sent an astounding bill of $876.70 for the full return trip from Adelaide to our house for car expenses and his time. Had the company been honest and transparent, we would have asked our own local builder to inspect the roof. There had been no indication in our numerous phone, email and text conversations about any costs should this not be deemed a warranty issue. In addition, [Name Removed] was not genuine or professional in his behaviour or inspection of the roof. If [Name Removed] had travelled to inspect another house in the region, why were we even being charged the full travel fee rather than the costs being split? The company did not respond to my email enquiries, only sent reminders their bill was overdue. After following up with the ombudsman, the company is now threatening us with court action. I prefer to give my money to honest, hardworking, genuine businesses and staff. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please beware and think twice. The head ache, heart ache, distress, time and energy of fighting this is more than we can bear. You shouldn;t have to go through this too.

of our old carport and verandah was done efficiently and quickly, with all mess cleaned up. The new carport and verandah was erected within the specified timeframe to a very high standard. Len, the sales consultant, was one of the main reasons with went with SA Quality Home Improvements. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and friendly and we felt extremely confident with his recommendations. Craig, the project manager, maintained contact throughout and visited several times to keep us updated, check progress and answer any questions. Mick and the team did an amazing job of putting up the carport and verandah - always happy to answer questions and were very polite. Everything was cleared up at the end, with no mess or damage. Sharnie, receptionist/customer service, consistently kept us updated and answered any queries we had. Overall, the quality and efficiency of the work done and the staff who work there is amazing, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We would definitely use them again if we required further work done.
Requested $2,000 cash deposit & kept the money. Use caution with this company. S.A.Q.H.I take advantage of the disabled – S.A.Q.H improvements required a $,2000 cash deposit from a disabled customer. And the consultant , who was on site was too busy showing us burnouts of his silver Holden ute on his phone. gun. He was not focused on the project. Received no calls, for 3 months and had to chase him up for answers could not explain the reason of delay. And did not provide service for his requirements and avoided all enquirers related to a 45k build. Bloody glad I did not pay 45 grand. 4 months later there was 0% progress, no local council approval submitted during the 4 months. No progress or anything. I hope SA Quality Home Improvements is enjoying my disabled sons $,2000 cash! Do not deal with these people! I can provide a receipt from SAQHI if needed to prove this shocking statement. And yes they retained the cash deposit of $2,000.00. I cant believe this has happened and they are still allowed to do business in these times. And the accc, offered no help. What a punch in the guts...

We are fully satisfied and appreciate for all the SA Quality Home Improvements personnel involved in these projects consisting of the receptionist, salesman, site managers and builders. not recommended this company – We have had a large veranda installed 8 years ago. Today I have had a insurance assessor out who previous was employed in the building industry, as the polycarbonate sheets are bowed from the rain and one broke off on Friday due to the wind and rain. The assessor informed me the veranda has not been built to compliance that is why the rain is been… Read more
collecting in the sheets (which at one end should be 9mm in height) and damaged them. This has also occurred 2 years after the verandah was build to one polycarbonate of the sheets that required replacing. I contacted SA Quality home improvements and the sales person was not interested.

Don't go near this company – We agreed on contract and then salesman said I had to pay more for concreting. They would not let me speak with the general manager. I lost my deposit.

My experience not all good! – Very good communicators, very short timeliness for payments but job not finished after 18 months. Perhaps a sign of the times as this seems a common problem.

New roof on my pergola – I had my new roof put on my pergola and everyone who worked on it was really lovely. The two chaps who worked through 37 degrees on the roof, were amazing and friendly. They worked really hard through extreme heat without complaint. The electrician also was really friendly, and very nice. And Len and Ed were really easy to talk to, and very friendly.
