The cool big boy! – Our fridge died! So I set about finding a fridge that suited my family's needs. Loads of space, easy to access, filtered water and ice! Load's of ice! I stumbled on the Samsung Family Hub. I fell in live with a fridge! Sad I know! But this thing is great. Yes it's expensive, huge and totally unnecessary but it just made sense. The build quality is great, the size is perfect for us.

The screen is a great addition to the kitchen. We use it for reminders and notes for the kids. The water dispenser is great. The best part of the fridge. The ice is never ending which suits us perfectly. Great for summer G&T's!

Would I recommend this fridge - most certainly yes.

Purchased in at bing lee for $5,500.

Clever design, perfect for even couples! – I chose this fridge because of the option to alter the temperature in one side of the freezer. That’s a great option if you want a larger fridge but don’t need a lot of freezer space! We use the lower right for drinks. The top part is nice and wide to store anything large that has been cooked in the oven like slices and cakes etc. There is a moveable shelf that allows for taller items without having to move shelves. And the whole fridge maintains its temperatures perfectly. The beverage centre at the top left is so user friendly for quick access for milk, cold water, juice etc. Plus the smart tablet option on the front is just so useful. We use the whiteboard, recipes, “looking into the fridge option” and it has many more cool options. Honestly this is coolest fridge we have owned this far and we Love it!

Purchased in for $4,500.

A Great Big Fridge – We bought the 810L Samsung Fridge 10 years ago and just upgraded to this as only LG has a similar sized fridge for our large family. Overall the redesign of the shelving and space is great. Everything feels like it can take more weight and has more useable space Pros: * Space is well laid out. More fridge room than the original. * The auto fill jug is brilliant and there is less mess with the new water dispenser which easily fits a 1L tall water bottle under it. * The freezer is a better flexible design making good use of space instead of a big drawer to dump things in. * The flexible cool/freeze section will be perfect for Christmas left overs! * The screen is a bit of a gimmick but the kids love it and I could see a Bixby/Samsung house working well with it.

Cons: * Not having an ice dispenser after 10 years of crushed ice is sad, the auto ice maker does work well though and the small ice cubes are good. It is not a deal breaker and leaves us with less water puddles left by kids. * I miss the deli drawer but have learned to work around the loss * I forgot how hard it is to get in a house, I had to dismantle part of our verandah entry to allow the delivery team to get it in; make sure you get the box size and pay for Premium Delivery as they will be reluctant to bring it in unpackaged.

Final thoughts, this is a great fridge that feels well made and is BIG. I would 100% recommend it if you need a big fridge. If you have kids they will annoy you to death playing with the screen for the first week but once that passes the clock, weather, and calendar are nice to have.

Nice looking fridge. Limited screen capabilities – **Update** Had the fridge for over a year now. PRO'S * Looks great * Screen looks nice, despite limited capability * Drinks station with auto filling jug is great * We love that the ice is clear in this model instead of white * Plenty of fridge space given that there's no ice maker in the fridge compartment * Freezer with doors rather than a drawer is great. Can access items easily

CON'S * We miss the external ice dispenser on the door. Have to bend down and get it out of the freezer. Fine at first but annoying in the long term * We miss having the deli drawer. Using the right lower compartment as a deli space reduces the freezer space by half, but using it as a freezer provides to much. The drawer on previous models was the perfect size * Now has Alexia on it. Don't like Bixby so very disappointed * Ring app rarely show our videos as the wifi speed is to slow to download them * YouTube and other video playback in the browser often crashes * Limited apps. For the price you'd expect to be able to load apps as you would on your Galaxy phone or TV. Same screen orientation as a phone. Can screenshare from you phone but why would you. Should be able to simply access the apps you want on your fridge. You can on their TV's which use the same operating system. * Wifi is reeeaaaly slow, and support will blame your internet provider, but its the fridge. I get 100 down on all devices in our house, but only 7 - 10 on the fridge. Explains why videos and things of the like always crash.

CONCLUSION As a fridge its awesome. Overall we love the new fridge. We definitely miss functions from our previous Samsung french door fridge, particularly the external ice dispatcher and deli drawer though.

Regarding the screen, whilst it could be useful if it had more app's at this stage it really is a gimic and restrictive. Internet connection isn't reliable or quick enough to make it useful. Their lack of Google app support alienates a lot of users also. When it works, it's good but we rarely get to watch a YouTube video in full without a render error.
