Beware – This was a great fridge when we first purchased it. Love the apps and screens. Being able to do your Woolworths online shop from it was a major draw card. the freezer started icing up. Got it repaired and the drain at the back was blocked. Another 6 months later and the ice maker stopped working and water dispenser started leaking. Called Samsung support who said they’d get a technician around. While waiting for someone, the temperature in the freezer started fluctuating going from -17 deg to 20 deg without even opening the fridge. After not hearing back from Samsung, I called and was told sorry we can’t get anyone to come out and look at the fridge so we’ve cancelled the claim. Escalated the issue and was told they’d try and find someone to come out. In the meantime I couldn’t use the freezer at all and then the fridge temp started fluctuating from 5 deg to 15 deg. More food wasted. The night before a technician finally came (2 months later) I got home to find water pouring in my downstairs bedroom from the ceiling, right where the fridge is located in the kitchen upstairs. The fridge had leaked into my floorboards through the ceiling into my floor and bed. Technician came, was there 5 mins, opened the doors and told me it needed a new circuit board. Samsung said they would give me a store credit from where I purchased the fridge…..that was a month ago and I just got notification from them yesterday that the credit has been processed, after many phone calls and emails wondering what’s happening. They don’t care about any damages to my floorboards, ceiling, bed (I have brown stains from the water leak due to the polish from the floorboards). It’s a shame about everything as I really did love this fridge to begin with.

Good hardware, software bugs that are not resolved by SAmsung – I bought this fridge in 2021... Positives: - Good hardware - Silent - Energy efficient - Space - Smart zone is really good. today, that function is not working as advertised. After 2 months of dealing with Samsung and not having the issue fixed, I consider this fridge to have a major fault and that Samsung is not able to fix the Fridge within a reasonable time.

Furthermore, if I had known this issue existed, I would not have bought the fridge. Based on the above, according to the ACCC Consumers can choose between a refund or replacement when a product has a major problem.

But there is just no answer from Samsung... every response is "we are escalating this".

Do yourself a favor, avoid any Samsung products that require software.

Next time I will go with another brand and non-smart.

Horrible; part missing, incompetent, unhelpful agent who hung up. Avoid Samsung; lucky I bought good guys concierge – Fridge was delivered missing water filter, called customer service who promised to send out within 3-5 business days, I called a week later to deal with incompetent agent who did not do anything other than promise to follow up with spare parts department. that customer is entitled to three replacement filters during express warranty period. Very disappointing considering it’s a premium product. Fridge is okay so far but screen is not that handy, can fit a lot less than capacity suggests and cannot use water features yet, shelf already damaged from ordinary use. Got discount from buying display model but still disappointed overall, Samsung service has put me off buying future products.

I wish I can give 0 stars or in stars in minus – If any one really wants to save their hard earned money please stay away from samsung family hub fridges. Believe me otherwise later you will repent. Bought in July 2020. Since then technician visited my place 7 times for different problems. fridge is not in use, and the clock and timer are very handy. I bought the fridge because I always forget to buy things or create shopping lists when going grocery shopping and so being able to see what's in the fridge by looking on my phone when I am at the shops was a feature I thought would be great. I hardly use this feature as my fridge is alway messy (I have 4 kids). I am disappointed with the ice maker though. It is bad at making crushed ice, which comes out in a combination of cubes and crushed ice. The water doesn't come out that cold either. I know these are first world problems, however you expect these things given the hefty price tag. I would buy this fridge again though.

Bad design... Designed to fail... Samsung fridges fails in basics i.e. Keeping items cold – Samsung fridges are designed to fail... If it is not cooling enough... That means cold air distribution fan has stopped working... In most of the cases its connector is burnt... And surprise surprise... The connector cannot be replaced... connector for cold air distributing fan was blown... That connector is an industry standard part you can buy from jaycar, techtronics or element 14 stores... But it is assembled in a way that it cannot be replaced from the front... And back of the fridge is sealed... In short it cannot be replaced.. I was happy to pay for its repair but it has to be repairable. First.... Everything else in that fridge is working fine. Samsung is expecting us to dump the fridge and buy another one.

Samsung has no concept of service life and their products are bad for environment... Socially irresponsible company.

I have done some research on this and found most of the Samsung fridges are designed this way... Irrespective of the model number... Their cold air distributing fan is connected very close to the cooling elements which will expose the connectors to moisture and one day it will ark out and fail... Samsung fridges are designed to fail and provide you 1/4 of the service life any other fridge will provide.

Secondly their support team will not own up to this problem once it is outside the warranty period and you will be bluntly told that it is not their problem anymore... I didn't even got a small hint from their support team that they will report this to their design team and at least fix this issue for future customers.

Stay away from Samsung fridges.

photos on the screen and playing my favourite music. The speaker on the fridge is of good quality too. This is a big fridge and is a handy size for our family of 6. I have had it only for a week but so far its been pretty good. Only thing is I'm constantly wiping it down as you can see finger prints easily.

Software fault on delivery - Screen Stuffed – We purchased this fridge on Boxing Day through the Good Guys Frankston. Sales person said it would be delivered in 1-2 weeks. over an hour on the phone resetting. Still no good. Samsung said the tech company 'RQ Electronics' would call within 2 hours. No calls several hours later. Tried calling RQ Electronics. After several hours calling someone eventually answered the phone. Now we have to wait for someone to call back next week to book an appointment. BRAND NEW FRIDGE. BROKEN OUT OF THE BOX. NEVER AGAIN!

EDIT 20/09/2021: Samsung have been out 3 times and replaced the WIFI module each time. Problem still occurs. Samsung are offering a refund, but they won’t swap out the fridge. The screen now freezes randomly. Such a piece of crap.
