Cooks quickly but has some annoying design faults – I purchased this one when I got sick of waiting for food to heat in my flatbed microwave. On older model of this microwave at work is awesome so I went with Samsung. It cooks and heats oh so quickly, I love it. I LOOOVE the black colouring. I've had white and stainless steel previously, but black is by far the best so far. Design faults… Read more ·  1

though. 1. The text on the buttons is hard to read. Ergonomically, the white text needs to be larger or bolder, or something, maybe even back lit. My benches are low and I am struggling, and this is really irritating. 2. The start button never wants to work on the first push. Gah! It's like there is one small place that engages the start and unless you get it right on that spot, it doesn't start! 3. Another brand has an awesome function, push start, and 30 sec of cooking starts. Push it again and another 30 seconds adds to the first. This microwave? It has a 30 sec button (which is cumulative on additional pressing), but you still have to press start! Probably at least twice. Overall, fast cooking. But now I want to swap it for the older model at work which has easy to read buttons and the start button WORKS. EVERY. TIME.

Worst appliance I have purchased, very unimpressed – A black faced box, that I can't see in as the globe is useless, can't read the panel as it too dark, keeps stopping during the defrost cycle, so you have to stay there to start it again, the alarm is annoying when it keeps going to get you to empty the microwave, and I struggle to open the door. Sometimes I can push the door button 6 or 7 times,… Read more

and end up pullling it open from the door from it's frame. Not bad for a couple of months old. It doesn't heat very evenly, probably best suited in a staff room rather than a home.

Very disappointed – Worse microwave I have EVER purchased. 12mths and it just stopped working. Temperature of food was always unpredictable never consistent. Push buttons needed firm touch. Very noisy and defrost was more of a cook then defrosting!! Show details

No beeps – I bought this for two reasons - you can turn off the beeps and it looks good. It replaced a 22 year old microwave. It hasn’t disappointed so far with vegetables and fish. I think the touch pad is fine. I don’t agree that you need to press buttons with a huge amount of force, but do agree that it is a fairly light appliance and it doesn’t take much… Read more ·  1

to move the appliance back towards the wall. But mainly, it’s a welcome addition because I’ll no longer be interrupted in my open plan living area with those annoying button pushing and end of cycle beeps.

Wasted my money – It works. Interior light so dim you can't see what's happening. Display too dim. We had to stick on shiny stickers to find basics like Start and Cancel. It makes an INCREDIBLY ANNOYING lot of noise.A single beep, once only, would do! It is as bad as trying to cook with a demanding two-year old in the kitchen. I would take it back if I thought I could get my money back. Show details

Effective but basic – Good functions and all the basics you need without being overly complex or needing a 3 day training course to operate. Manual is fairly well layed out and simple but if you have owned a microwave for most of your life I am sure you can operate perfectly well out of the box. Seems to be standard interior and good plate size The bit/s I liked… Read more

most... Compared to a line up of microwaves this was one of best looking compared to others with clean lines and consistent colours. Looks for the price means no need to spend $400+ for a good looking microwave that does the job.

The bit/s I liked least... Completely dark - cannot see into microwave...(means a light while it is operating is totally pointless...even hard to see the light. No, not a 'weak light' its a dark face with a dark interior - does not appear to be designed to see what is cooking)...but lets face it, other than 5 year olds - who stares at the microwave while its cooking...all the time... Buttons are not touch sensitive and require a firm press - will be interesting to see how long this lasts as you have to firmly press to activate. Works fine and not unreasonable but lacks the sensitivity of more expensive machine...try it in store if not sure...not a reason not to buy - but dont be surprised!!!

Good, but expected better – Bought directly from Samsung Buttons are hard to push Inside is rather nice but I find the light a bit dim Overly it does the job and heats things but I find for only cooking for a short time the plates are extremely hot. Worst microwave I have ever bought – I am disappointed in this microwave. The light is so dim that you can’t see inside and view how the cooking is going. You only find out when you open it and everything has boiled over and a huge mess. The plastic cleaning tub also hides the light! I ripped that out! The touch controls are really stiff. To press them moves the entire thing back.… Read more

Also it didn’t have a one touch start! This is what I use all the time! I tried to cook 1 serving of my breakfast porridge. Selected the number etc and it was uncooked. There no auto cook for eggs or omelette. These are my mostly used foods in a micro. I never do popcorn and other stuff in the program and I don’t use frozen food. Dissatisfied with it and I’ll sell it and buy yet another one. Very disappointed Samsung.

Poor design – Samsung normally produce great products- this is not one of them. The touchpad controls for “30 seconds” and “Start” (i.e the ones you use most) require an excessive amount of pressure to activate, to the extent that whole microwave oven moves backwards. I don’t see that I can return it as it is not faulty per se - just a poor design. It was on special at JB HiFi for $189. I regret buying it.

Lots of issues – Buttons hard to press to register selection. Control panel not intuitive and the user manual hopeless to follow. No longer heats food after only five months. It appears to work but it fails to heat up anything. Looks like a lot of people have had problems with this model. Start button malfunction – The start button often needs to be pressed several times to work. Not happy. Would have liked an immediate start after pressing 30 secs button or just the start button and adding increments of that time when pressing again; something I forgot to check as I assumed that it will have these functions. If the start button worked well it would be good value for money. Show details

Could be better – It does the job but does not seem to cook evenly and requires the food to be stirred regularly to get an even cooking. Regretful Buy- Now I'm Stuck With It – Worst item I have purchased and I don't recommend anyone to buy one. I wish I had gone with the more expensive Sharp. is limited, with limited weight options. The instruction manual isn't set out well and I find myself searching the entire book to find what I need. There are no onscreen instructions, so when I'm defrosting, the machine will just stop and beep. I assume its for me to turn the item and then press start. When you push the buttons the whole oven slides away from you. I'm constantly straightening it. It is virtually impossible to see inside the oven during cooking due to the dark internal colour and the very dull light. Shows fingerprints, you have to wipe clean after each use.

Aesthetically pleasing microwave with some caveats – The microwave functions fine and when clean looks great in the kitchen. against buying Samsung kitchen appliances.

Update: Was contacted by Samsung rep and graciously given the name of an authorised service centre where I could spend more money on this poor quality Item. And yes it is true what the other reviews say about the buttons being hard to press! I had to put a block behind the microwave to keep from pushing oven to the back of the microwave cabinet as the grip of the rubber feet is not sufficient to take the pressure you need to apply to press a button on this poorly made product.

The Non-Responsive Buttons Makes It Unworkable – This is a good microwave with good heating, defrost and cooking settings, HOWEVER, the buttons on the panel are very, very, hard to press. You have to exert so much pressure on it for the buttons to take. For a person with weak hands/wrists or a disability, this microwave will be unworkable. I DO NOT recommend this microwave for this reason only.… Read more

Also the only way you can exert enough pressure on the buttons it to use your right hand, grip the side of the microwave, then press the buttons with your thumb. If you plan to use your microwave in a fixed cavity in your kitchen where there is no room to grip the microwave on the side (as I did) then again this model will be unworkable for you. I recommend testing the buttons in store before you purchase. Make sure the microwave is connected to power so you can gauge how much pressure you have to exert.

This is a great product! – I'm really pleased with the quality and appearance of this oven. It arrived today - a day ahead of schedule - and was very securely packaged. I used it to heat a frozen burger and it took a little longer than my old one but that's okay. I haven't set the clock or used the kitchen timer yet. It seems a little complicated but I'll take my time and read the user's manual. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong with this product.  Show details

Good quality product! – The old microwave I had did not cook my food all the way through, this may have been due to the design of it. When I bought this microwave I came with an open mind.
