Just hope you never have to try to return anything. After being denied a refund on a char that arm rests broke. We had a monitor blow up and then they repaired it and said this is, in line with expectations for minor problems and wont be refunded. Gg wont be shopping here anymore.
Bought a Gigabyte Aero X16 laptop in March. It started failing in April (kernel stack heap error or some such). I am a single mum with two boys with complex health and mental health problems. I heard nothing from Scorptec until 6 weeks later, by which time I had figured out how to reinstall windows myself. However, it is doing it again now… Read more
(August) resetting every day and sometimes showing a VRAM error. I don't know what any of this means but it sounds like a warranty claim to me. However, I can't get any response from Scorptec's phone numbers. You just get put on hold then hung up on after 5 mins or so. Web forms have finally resulted in a link to get the warranty form working, but they sure put roadblocks in your way.
Scorptec is the absolute pits! I've been a customer for a number of years and always thought they were a step above other pc retailers. I recently purchased a rx 9060 xt GPU from their online store. Long story short, it was severely faulty, resulting in uncontrolled power draw, and putting my PC at risk. I submitted a warranty request, and I… Read more
was told it would be 2 to 4 weeks after being received. Fast forward 1 month, and I haven't heard a thing from Scorptec. I tried messaging on the warranty ticket multiple times, and had no response. I tried calling their warranty team, their phone just auto hangs up after a few mins of on hold.
I end up having to submit a new request for assistance, at which point I just receive a refund. To add insult to injury, the refund is not to my payment method, but to their in store credit that can only be used by email or phone. There is also no acknowledgement of the amount of time I've been waiting for my warranty, or the fact they have absolute garbage customer service.
They've lost me as a customer.

AMD 78003xD CPU came with no hassles and a timely delivery. Strong recommend using Scorptec for your computer needs.
Fantastic customer experience and great product. Kudos to Scorptec and Dell for the U4025QW 5k 40". Scorptec: Jake at the Clayton store was super knowledgable to explain features and constraints of the product for usage as an MBPro, Windows and switch external monitor. Picks up the HDMI immediately when I switch on the switch and switches from Mac to Nintendo automatically. Fantastic audio and resolution. After years of pain with the LG 5k that works only with Mac, thank God I didn't buy the apple display
Positive warrenty experience. Picked up components for a new PC from Scorptec Online. After building the system, I experienced frequent crashes and eventually managed to definitively narrow the cause down to a single stick of RAM from a G.Skill Trident Z5 64GB (2x32GB) kit with a limited lifetime warranty. Scorptec sent me a broken motherboard. When I tried contacting support, I was on hold for over an hour with no answer, I tried multiple times. I ended up paying an external PC store to test it, who confirmed it was broken. When I returned it to Scorptec, they claimed it was broken because of the way I returned it, despite me having a report from that store stating it was already faulty. Now they're refusing a refund. While I appreciate that Scorptec probably is or was part of the same company that bought out getright and msy here in Adelaide; and probably also own Umart for all I know; I will not be dealing with Scorptec again. on the box claiming ‘our customers insist on a signature at delivery’ which is nonsense. I did no such thing. (Note that I wasn’t even given the option when ordering to select ‘signature delivery’ or ‘ standard delivery ‘ options)
Doesn’t sound like much, but to then be carded by Aust post (instead of leaving it in my parcel drop facility of our letter box), on a 39 degree C day; I then had to drive out to the post office to collect this item that I had just paid about as much as the item in delivery charges.. and obviously queue up and wait when there..
Just didn’t make sense to me - especially when I paid for it to come to me; not for me to go to it.

I swapped my FHD monitor for the Gigabyte G27U 4K monitor from Scorptec in Silverwater of which my experience has been very smooth. The staff were friendly and efficient. When gaming, the monitor excels in making games look beautiful, especially compared to my old 1080p monitor. I've spoiled myself with 4K and now find it's hard to go back to FHD. The colours give a reasonably good pop which combined by the 4k resolution gives a good experience. In other ways, I've tried out 240hz from another monitor and cannot tell the difference between the 160hz on the Gigabyte or 240hz on my other monitor. In this sense, 160hz is a great option and past this is mostly diminishing returns. The monitor has a good amount of brightness, almost too much at times which is a good thing in my opinion.
I've found the monitor stand is mostly sturdy. Depending on the table, it is easier for the monitor to wobble especially compared to some other monitors I have tried. The stand does have excellent adjustability which is good for my desk ergonomics.
I have found the blacks can look a bit greyish at times but this is as expected for a budget IPS panel. I also find the HDR to be a bit gimmicky. It works but at times I prefer to leave it off depending on the content I'm viewing. On other monitors I've tried, even for similar price points, I always leave this option on.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the Gigabyte G27U 4K monitor. It is a massive upgrade for a small price and is priced hyper-competitively in a space where monitors are all price-conscious for the consumer.
This was an incentivized review.
It was amazing, it came in quick even during the easter holiday it came in like 2 days after th e holiday finished. I put an ethernet cable in it. That was pretty cool. Before i put the internet thing on it idk it worked though. Now i can play video games for example
Fantastic customer service. I changed my order a couple of times and ultimately had to cancel the parts I ordered due to personal circumstances. They were amazing the whole time. Intend to order next year through them. Show details

I used to be a regular Scorptec customer when they had a store near my home. Their prices were good, and I was generally happy with the service there. sometimes several weeks. With warranty tickets, I would often receive an automated message asking whether the issue had been resolved before anyone had actually replied to me. Responding would then start another long wait.
My last warranty issue became unnecessarily slow and complicated. After I complained about how it was being handled, they rejected the warranty claim and returned the faulty item to me. Every message during the process took another week or two, which made the whole experience extremely frustrating.
I was a loyal customer for years, but I will not shop with Scorptec again. There are other computer retailers that respond much faster and are far more helpful when something goes wrong.
No warranty service. I got a faulty PC from them. Upon return, it took them 2 weeks to confirm it is not turning on and send me a WRONG replacement at half price without compensating the difference. Extremely disappointed with the customer service that i received from Scoptec Clayton Victoria. I returned a faulty GPU under warranty which was deemed to be overheating. or wait for manufacturers verdict. But a new replacement or refund wasn't an option due to the fact that my card was to have considered a minor fault.
I'm pretty sure the last time i checked overheating isn't a minor fault, and the fact that i jumped through all of your hoops to be given second hand trash is disgraceful. I've since purchased a new replacement from one of your competitors and will now be re thinking if I'm to ever shop at Scoptec again.

I tried contacting them and explaining the situation and said I'd be willing to pay delivery as well as purchase a different board one that was $100 more expensive meaning they'd make a bigger sale and be able to resell the Asrock board, I got nothing but radio silence.
I told them I filed a report with the ACCC, and then they responded, the message was strange kinda passive aggressive, they made a comment about my ACCC report
"If you still think that an ACCC complaint is still necessary for this request, we won't stand in your way of your perceived rights."
I'm like you don't have the capability to stand in the way of customers rights, such a strange response.
Although I believe in my situation it would be considered change of mind and the ACCC most likely won't do much, I'd have to use the board and wait for my CPU to die before they'd help.
Although I recommend anyone who has a defective item within warranty to contact the ACCC and file a report you owe it to yourself and the customer after you, don't let them get away with dodgy business.
I asked if I could drive in to the store and return it that way, as there's a store 40 min away, figured the process would be quicker then sending it to Victoria, got no response, was going to call them and confirm I could do this, but after reading all these negative reviews I think I'm gonna cut my losses, I could return it to these guys they'd probably just take the motherboard resell it and not refund my money, their that maliciously incompetent.
I've already bought a different motherboard from computer alliance a store with a much better reputation, wouldn't recommend buying from scorptec.

My laptop is still under warranty (purchased from Scorptec). I went to the South Melbourne Scorptec site to assist with an issue after the latest Windows update. out the PAPER form (apparently, even if you book a service online, you still need to fill in the PAPER form >.<). Once I submit the paper form and hand over my laptop, a technician will review it within approximately 5 business days. Great! Who can function without their primary device for 4-5 business days. Another service person joined the conversation and then added their 2c worth about "hardware issues". It was definitely not a hardware issue.
I then left the store and searched for other tech support available. I found Geeks2U. Within 2 hours, the issue was sorted!! Geeks2U arrived promptly, and the geek (Moksh) fixed the issue within an hour. He was professional, punctual, friendly, and super helpful (explained everything he did without any unnecessary tone), and he fixed the problem. My suggestion is to buy your devices from Officeworks and then get the great Geeks2U to help with any after-sales service/issues.
I will definitely not deal with Scorptec again.

Only after I cited the Australian Consumer Law and formally rejected the goods did the matter move toward refund. Even now, I have not received the refund — I have simply been told it will take up to five business days.
From initial report to projected refund, the process spans roughly seven weeks.
This was not a complex claim. The fault was reproduced by the supplier. The issue was delay, poor communication, and a complete lack of ownership.
At no point did I feel like this was being handled with urgency or basic customer care.

Stay away from them. Faulty products, support team don't do proper testing and lie to pretend that they did. You will never get replacement nor refund on faulty products. before it even hit their warehouse, no other notification sent to me about this, I stumbled on it.
Why would I pay for express postage for an item I think was in stock to only recieve it 2+ weeks later.
When I tried to post this quesiton on their website in the Q&A on the RPI5 8gb page, I got an email saying it had been moderated.
Dishonest practice of showing stock is there when they don't have it to send, then ontop of that taking additional payment for express postage that is redundant.
It STILL shows it in stock on site when it clearly isn't.
Pay the extra $10 and pick it up from your local Jaycar.
Check out the images to see how sneaky this practice is, get your money then make you wait. 1) Website displaying "In Stock" 2) Email saying delayed 3) Checking my account on their site, it is pushed back a further week with no updated notification 4) Tried to ask a question on the Q&A and it was "moderated"
I cant leave a review either as I haven't received it, explains why there are no other bad reviews on there.
False advertising, have requested refund. Will not use again.

Dishonest company. Ordered a wrong part but only realised after it was sent off, requested a return and sent their package back before opening it (at my expense). They went on to claim that the box and product had been opened and are pushing for a 15% restocking fee. Don't recommend but, if you want to deal with them, document and photograph everything.
