Sealy Posturepedic Exquisite Queen

We purchased a firm queen size mattress, and after sleping on it for a month can say it is the best mattress we have ever owned and slept on. Comfortable, seems to cater for any pain felt during the day which makes it easy to sleep through the night. After having our old mattress for 15 years it was time for a new one. The Posturepedic Exquisite medium was a fantastic step up from the old mattress. The sidewalls are much firmer making the mattress feel larger and there is very little movement noted when my partner is changing positions. sagging despite having it for 8 years. The Sealy developed a VERY NOTICEABLE raised hump in the centre of the bed. Sealy advised trying to sleep on it where it was raised to help push it down. Nothing else was offered. Partner disturbance was also very high despite the mattress not being cheap.

I have since purchased a mattress with a 100 night sleep trial, it’s incredibly comfortable with almost no partner disturbance despite being a fraction of the price.

Don’t waste your money on a Sealy. They do not stand by their product. I have previously owned Sealy mattresses but maybe the quality has dropped. I would never purchase, nor recommend one ever again.

The main problem is it is rather heavy making it difficult to shift and it is only single sided which might create a problem later if there is any wear. Higher than the previous mattress but that is a plus in getting out of bed. Show details ·  1

A great choice of a mattress. Very comfortable and provides great back support and cool to sleep on. Limited disturbance to the other party when you roll over or get out of bed. On the whole we have been happy with our mattress, however regardless of turning the mattress regularly as per the instructions there is some sagging on both sides. While I realise my husband is a bigger person than me, I am surprised this has happened so early in the life of the mattress. Don’t know if anything can be done to improve it, we are not actually sleeping in a hole, but the sagging is definitely there. Otherwise all good. Show details ·  2

We bought our mattress about few years ago. It has stood up fairly well. I have to sit on the edge of bed for a short time every time I get up (which at 71 is quite frequently) to allow my blood pressure to equalise. if you or your partner move a lot at night this may not be a good choice, maybe ok with the soft or medium variants but the firm it moves!! Add in that David Jones don’t allow return or refunds on mattresses then be VERY SURE if you decide to buy one from that store as you will be stuck with it if it’s not suitable, my bad for not checking this as other retailers will offer a satisfaction guarantee or return, so in summery maybe great for 1 person, buyer beware for 2.

was sagging where we were sleeping to the point where there was a hump in the middle of the bed. We didn't do anything for another 6 months and eventually decided to rotate the mattress 180 degrees and it was good again for around another 12 months before the same thing started to happen. After another 6 months I decided to rotate it again but given it had already sagged previously it wasn't any better. We put up with it until earlier this year when my wife started getting back pain. The sagging was getting quite bad. You could only really sleep in the same spot and the hump in the middle caused one side of your body to sit higher than the other. I contacted Sealy to make a warranty claim and they sent their people out to have a look who came armed with a tape measure and concluded that the sagging was within tolerance and explained that the sagging with this type of mattress was normal. I would have expected a more scientific method than measuring with a tape measure. Not satisfied with this, I again contacted Sealy and they offered to take the mattress to the factory for measurement, which they did, but again they concluded that the sagging was within tolerance. They did offer to replace the foam in top layer for $460. Personally, I don't believe the mattress is fit for purpose and I wasn't prepared to give Sealy a cent more. A few months ago, I started to get back issues and we decided it was time to get rid of this mattress, so after only 4 years, this mattress is going out with the hard rubbish. We purchased a mattress from a modern mattress company, that has been highly rated on this site and so far we are very happy with it and the service has been excellent. Having said that, I won't review that mattress until some significant time has passed. As for Sealy and the Exquisite mattress. There is nothing Exquisite about this mattress, Sealy's service or the price they are charging for it. It's the last Sealy product I'll purchase.

can be adjusted to a plush and was happy to pay for it and was denied due to company policies. Don't listen to the salespeople in stores at Snooze as they are not using it for 8 hrs a night. If any one needs a Firm Sealy Mattress I have a 5 year old one that has been slept on for less than 3 months. Was thinking of purchasing another Sealy but after they declined my request wont buy again. Thanks Sealy for nothing!! Only left 1 star due to you have too otherwise nil stars very poor customer service

comfort that the sides of the Sealy seem to be well constructed & hold quite firm when sitting on the side of the bed. 1 month in & I can honestly say it probably took 2 weeks to adjust to the new feel & now very happy with my purchase.

It is extremely comfortable and very supportive. I can sit on the edge of mt bed and it doesn't sag. I have neck and back issues and I find this mattress has a positive effect. It is very durable and I haven't noticed any sagging. Show reply

Absolutely fabulous mattress, very comfy and supportive. The only drawback I will say, with modern mattresses that are super deep, is that they’re also super hot. If you also opt into the waterproof mattress cover then it feels like you’re constantly in menopausal night sweats. I’ve had no problems with this mattress, I’m not sure how long I’ve had it, probably about 3-4 years , l could dig up the receipt but I’m not at home right now, very comfortable without being too soft, it’s actually the best mattress I’ve bought . A great upgrade to my previous mattress. I chose a firm mattress due to a previous back injury and my previous bed aggravating it each night. Safe to say this new firm mattress has made me pain free most days and is very comfortable. I purchased this for my younger brother who suffers many health issues and whilst the bed hasn’t cured him, it has given him that ability to sleep thru an entire night comfortably, which is a new experience.
