Streets Magnum Classic

Here's one reason why they taste rubbishy now. From today's Fin Review ... "Look at the ingredients that go inside a Magnum, a popular line of ice-cream made by food giant Unilever, and you’ll see coconut fat features prominently."

Magnum is the king of icecreM – I love magnum ice cream. I usually don’t like vanilla ice cream at all but I love magnums it tastes like frozen cool whip on a stick!

Fantastic product i very recommend however just one flaw – I love this product and buy it at-least once a week, magnums are my go too ice cream. However i was out road tripping enjoying a magnum classic and just at the end when you go to lick the remains off the stick, you get this woody taste in the last parts of the ice cream. Overall a great ice cream, just so disappointing to end on that woody taste almost leaves you unsatisfied. I hope this review is a help to you in future manufacturing. Thanks Show details

Rip magnum ice not much cream... different chocolate? We are not alone noticing the bland flavour. Not shrinkflation but taste gone. No longer a magnum ... more a peashooter.. other brands more tasteless too

If I could give zero I would. Price has gone up and they are so small now. I'm guessing all people feel the same way. I went to buy an ice cream and all that was left in the fridge after Cyclone Alfred is Magnum and I'm going elsewhere because I'll never but a magnum again.

Stop putting profits ahead of quality – If I could give a 0 star i would. Hadn't had one for a while because it's too expensive and finally they were on sale and totally disappointing. Price gone up, ice cream is smaller. Chocolate is thinner, ice cream is no longer creamy and rich. Streets how can you ruin such a great product.

Quality down & price up – Smaller and more expensive. Ego is same price for a 3 pack now compared to 4 pack they no longer sell. Ice cream is now watered down and not creamy like before. It’s icy Show details

Magnums will never be what they once were – Absolute garbage. They have destroyed a once incredible ice cream. Tiny, tasteless and poor quality. This is what happenes when corporate greed takes over product quality. So disappointing.

Yuk! Recipe changed, now tastes like frozen sour cream – Where has the vanilla flavour gone? What have they done? (except shink it to mini magnum size). Tastes like sour cream dipped in chocolate. Gross. Even the kids hated them - no one is touching the leftover ones. Show details

Disappointed completely – I've just had a magnum choc coated pepper mint icecream and really disappointing. Can't say anything good about them, except for the fact they have been my favourite and can't believe how much they have changed!! The pepper mint was terrible, no more taste. "Stick to the Original" farcical – "Stick to the Original" add campaign from Streets Magnum. Funny! Then sell us the "original" and not the shrunken rip-off version Streets. If you want customer loyalty, stop treating us like mugs. Talk about spin.

Incredibly disappointing – Ego's used to be my favourite ice cream of all time until a couple of months ago we purchased a box and I straight away noticed the different taste of chocolate. the ice cream itself also was disappointing. They changed and in my opinion, completely ruined it. I can't bring myself to buy these again. Feels sad that something I enjoyed so much and grew up having is now completely ruined. We tried a different flavour tonight to see if it was just Ego's they destroyed, it sadly isn't. I won't be buying magnums again. It's so incredibly disappointing

Recipe / taste has changed dramatically – Bought some Magnums today at Coles at Erina, and the taste has completely changed, rather the problem is that there is little or no taste to either the ice cream or the chocolate now, and the chocolate doesn't want to melt in your mouth. There were 8 of us, and just about everyone noticed the difference straight away. Premium price still, but for a cheap tasteless ice cream. Won't ever buy again. Show details

Not the same – I use to love magnum but today I bought one and was shocked. NOT creamy very icy and no flavour and the chocolate is thin and tasteless. Bring back that melt in your mouth creamy ice cream and velvety chocolate. You have lost us. We will never buy again. Show details

Tiny Overprocessed Garbage – Loaded with junk additives, gums and soy emulsifiers. Fraction of the size I remembered from years ago. How to lose your market, reformulate to a garbage filled recipe and shrink the size of your food product. Will stick with Golden North icecream from now on.. Show details

What they don't tell you – They switched from Belgian chocolate about 10 reformulations ago. I don't think they have any chocolate in there at all now. Or if they do, it's so incidental that you can't taste it. As well as the warnings about containing nuts blah blah blah, they should put on a warning that says it contains no chocolate. Show details

Too small now don't buy them – Size is pathetic now in the 90s they were the best, but now I can eat 1 in 2 bites and they charge more every time they down size. Show details

Used to be the best brand. Now homebrand icecream is better – Smaller and completely different taste and texture. Will have to find a new brand to buy from now on Show details

Worst recipe yet – The latest recipe has added vegetable oil, pea protein, salt, maltodextrin, erythritol and sucralose. Why? Leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, literally. Been eating these for 20 years and the quality has slowly gone down but this is the last straw.

Garbage – Used to love the vanilla ice cream in these but it’s vile. Tastes worse than the cheap coles brand vanilla (that’s our favourite ice cream now) save your money folks. Show details

Have they shrunk in the wash? Did the choc coating machine break down? – Haven't h ad a magnum icecream for a hot minute and wow.... DISAPPOINTED Bought a box of 4 and was completely shocked when opening the box to find this once magnificent icream just a shadow of itself Was it my imagination? You've lost me. I'll stick to Häagen-Dazs vanilla and caramel. More expensive but at least they're not cutting corners (yet)

A shadow of its former self – Bought a box of Magnum minis. Had one. The ice cream not creamy. Had another. Same disappointment. Gave one to a friend to try. She agreed. Won't be buying these again. What a shame. Show details
