shut off my gas, and said it had to be reported and couldn’t be turned back on. I was quoted $3,265 for a replacement and asked for a $1,300 deposit immediately.
I got a second opinion from another licensed gas plumber who confirmed there was no leak at all.
Overall, this felt misleading, overpriced, and very high-pressure. I would not recommend.
Scammers – Just remember everyone . WHEN YOU READ , the reviews , there is always this nice feed back message written so you think it had been resolved , but its just salt being added too the wound , they do nothing for you , the state manager was talking such rubbish to me on the phone . They identified need for an excavator which they organised for the following day. Bradley & his offsider completed repairs without having to use the excavator machine. Additional charges quoted for an excavator were not applied. Scott returned to the site and did the hydro jet cleanup & on the same day company’s handyman came to fix the roadside pavers which turned out better than how the pathway was before the his plumbing job. Each team left the site clean, neat and tidy. The interactions I had with all employees, from initial call till the final completion of the job demonstrated excellent PR skills, efficiency and high standard of productivity. Very unhappy customer, over price business – $280 call out non refundable fee has to be paid before anyone comes out, then when plumber arrived was quoted $568 plus to unblock a drain, if i had said no to the the job i would have lost the $280. The job cost a total of over $800 plus. Think what you will but i think this is not a business i would like to deal with again. I was offered $150 refund not to post this. STAY AWAY.

The plumber comes home on Monday. The plumber is from a company called Service Today. These are not the same people as the website (evident in the invoice, websites and screenshot). I show him the tap which needs to be closed tightly so as to stop water from dripping. I ask him to replace the washer. The plumber proceeds to give me a quote of $333.00. I could not believe it, so I asked why they were so expensive and he tells me you should call someone local instead- which I thought they were based on their website. I refuse to continue with the work due to the exhorbitant quote but still get asked to pay the call out fee of $49.00
I then contact Service Today and lodge a formal complaint asking them to refund the call out fee as they were misleading people with false advertising. The original website also had a $0.00 callout fee if booked online which is why I had booked online. When I raise my concern regarding the exhorbitant prices they admit that I was given an incorrect quote and it should have been around $210.00 not $333.00. I therefore explain that my intentions were to get the work done. Had I been given the correct quote in the first place, I would have continued with the work and not have to pay the call out fees. However they refused.
I also tried changing my google search to plumber near hallett cove and the SAME website comes up with name updated (attached). It is evident that they are fooling people because they do not honour the quotes on the website. They then give you an offer to waive off the call out fee if we agree to the quote knowing fully well most of the people would not continue with the work due to the ridiculous quotes. Despite them admitting to have provided an incorrect quote, they refused to refund the amount.
I disputed the transaction with the bank as it was clear that I did not get any service out of this company. Instead they have told the bank they provided me with three quotes- complete lies. I have a screenshot of the quote provided to me attached. This company continues to lie. Think 10 times before engaging with this company.

was to cut the stand-pipe, and connect 20cm of new pipe with a universal adaptor. The cost was $820 including $120 call out fee (original quote $920 reduced by $100 after challenge). After agonising over this, I agreed to the work. Why? 1. The unlikely possibility of finding an alternative plumber until Monday – thus having no water. 2. I had already committed to the $120 call-out fee. The invoice contained no breakdown of parts or hourly charge costs. I am angry with myself for accepting such an outrageous price. Legally I have no recourse. Morally – a different question. I have no criticism of the technician. He was very personable and effective. However, I could not recommend this company because of the deceptive advertising – and the shocking price for fundamentally joining two pieces of pipe.

said he did not have the parts to fix the problem. He said he might be able to get the parts and book a time for the parts to be fitted at the earliest time which was 3 days later on the Tuesday. I declined as this would leave us without water for 3 days. He suggested he could possibly turn the mains water off to the 23 units in the strata from the main supply from the public road and put an elbow in place of the tap. He asked if i knew where the mains shut off valve was and i replied that i do not. He went off looking for the mains valve and returned saying that he could not find it. He then suggested he could put a tek screw into the shaft of the broken valve tap stem to try and turn the water back on for our home, but he warned me that if it went wrong it could result in a bigger problem with water leakage. I declined this option. He then stated there wasn't anything more he could do and I said I'll ring the strata to see if they could recommend a solution. So that was it. I ended up ringing the strata and they sent out Ken Hall plumbing that fixed the problem. So all in all Servive today plumbing are pretty useless. An absurd $280 call out fee, no parts to fix problem, could not find a mains shut off valve that I might add that Ken Hall found in 10 seconds out on the main road. Suggested a fix with a Tek screw. I do not recommend Service Today.
