online chat and they even called me for more details. The job was booked for the next day. But then I had a conflict so they booked it for the following day. The booking was for between 12noon and 4pm. They turned up right at 12. Checked out the job, went to get the parts and was able to use a repair kit to fix the toilet at the lowest possible cost. The team were super friendly, explained everything, gave me a quote on their iPad and got the job done! I couldn't have asked for a better service. Thanks Service Today!

Timely service and clever problem solving fixed a worrying leak – Late last night we discovered a worrying leak that we suspected had come from our hot water service (first photo). the problem was a leaking copper pipe inside the wall cavity, potentially a much bigger issue than we first anticipated. The problem sat behind a brick wall that had been erected over 30 years ago, but Travis found a way to get to the leak and replace the problem pipe (third photo) without having to remove a single brick (second photo). Now we have a fully functioning plumbing system again, our water pressure has improved and all we'll need to do now is patch up a hole in an interior plaster wall, which is something we can manage easily ourselves. Travis gave us clear explanations for every step of the repair process, gave us options for how to proceed, and made the costs clear to us before he did any work. He was very personable and performed his tasks in a timely, efficient manner. We couldn't be happier with the quality of his work and the way he went about it. We'll definitely be using Service Today again on the strength of what was done for us today. Outstanding service with a smile.

Reasons that I was dissatisfied with this company. I called this company for a blocked toilet. The plumber used a plunger and charged me a huge fee. In few days, it was blocked again. wanted the internal parts of my current toilet replaced knowing the toilet would be difficult to replace. I agreed and booked a time for him to do the work. A different plumber was sent instead.
1. The plumber dropped a part of my toilet. It was an accident. He glued it back together like a jigzaw puzzle. It looked terrible and unsatisfactory. I refused to be satisfied with this arrangenent. See the photo - would you be happy with this?
2, Poor customer service - The biggest reason I would not recommend services today is when there is a problem and I called the office, a Manager refused to speak to me to resolve the situation. The Manager kept indicating she would only speak to the plumber. I called the office 3 times. The reception staff on each occassion were nice and said they would escalate to a manager. Ist time - Manager wouldn't take the call, 2nd time, I was told the manager would speak to the plumber, 3rd time the Manager spoke briefly and hung up on me. I feel this was unsatifactory. In the end the toilet was replaced with a one I didn't choose and didn't match my bathroom. I was charged for the new toilet. A expensive and distressing experience. There is also deep scratches in my nonslip vinyl flooring where he was working.
Update. I have not been contacted to resolve the situation and it has been more than a week.
I would not recommend or use this company again.

quick repair. The Ugly. = A new Hot Water service was required. The plumber suggested that a Continuous Flow unit would be better for our needs and would be cheaper to run. Suggested that the Continuous Flow system would save in Gas expense. As it turns out this was a fabricated lie. Re.ce plumbers advised that the unit is more expensive and uses 4 times more gas. The first quotation provided was over $4600. When I got up off the floor, I explained I didn't know where I was going to quickly get that amount, the quote was quickly droped to over $4000, but I would also need an 8 inch copper piper replaced for over $1090. I said we'll have to think about that. I then rang a local plumber, and he replaced our gas water heater for a total of $1865. Parts and labor. Buyer beware when engaging Service Today. Have since been made aware that ACA has featured Service Today under the banner of "Chasing Jason" In my honest opinion this company is not to be trusted.

gave me a quote for different options to fix the problems. He was very happy to answer all my questions and explain each outcome. I was very happy with the service that Gary provided he was on time and very polite and very knowledgeable, I felt very confident tat my problems would be fixed well. Phil arrived the following day at 7am as stated and fixed all of my issues and was gone by 3pm, he just needs to come back in a couple of days to concrete once the ground has settled. He also was very polite he worked very hard at getting the job done on the day. He cleaned up the area and removed the rubbish. I was very happy with the job he has done and I am very confident that he will come back and finish the concrete in a timely manner. I have used Service today many times now and have always been happy with the service and happy with each and every job that I have had done. us $650 cash and he will run the camera when we cut the concrete. After he took the money he said he will come back and won't charge extra, 2 days later we call them so he can come and run the camera, he hangs up and block our number, then we call with different number and soon we told them the address they block our second mobile number and won't talk to us, we cut the concrete for nothing, we searched another plumber for the job and the blockage was on the front side of the house,not where [Name Removed] ask us to cut the concrete. In the end, had another company come out and complete the job for 30% less than Service Today quoted. Clearly they were trying to take advantage of the situation. I have a couple of properties and will not be using them for any works at any of them.

Over 300% markup on their costs - rip off. Initial quote for a new Hot water system and two toilet inlet valve replacements was over $5K. When queried 1 toilet inlet valve ($577) removed from quote. Another plumber did it all for around $3K.

My experience with the onsite side of the business was not great, the communication needed improvement and initially put me off to the point where I did not accept the job/quote. I finalised the visit after 5 minutes. I found the prices quite high, the tech's approach felt scripted and the lack of options frustrating. The tech attending site… Read more
did not listen to my background at all to fully understand the situation, or look for/suggest alternate ways I could approach the problem to keep my own costs down and move forward. ie spend money diagnosing an issue, replace the unit fully, or various other options. eg no use spending $700 to test for a gas leak if the unit is faulty and another $xx thousand dollars is needed for a new unit I subsequently called Aquamax/Rheem and they gave me a suggestion to do, to narrow down the issue and make sure it was the unit, before engaging them. This was great! and exactly what Service Today could have done, but didn't. On a positive note, Brian from the Customer Care Management team called me post job and we had a great discussion about how the visit went, what is learnt from it and any takeaways. This side of things is excellent, for service based companies to understand how their service is in reality.

Service Today do not work outside very strict guidelines of practice. The workpeople who come out to the site are great, but the workers in the office are rude and do their utmost to avoid responsibility or to help you if they feel like they should not. uncaring and unhelpful. We thought we had a gas leak related to our water heater that was recently installed, with the smell of gas in our baby's bedroom. The plumber came out, said there was no gas leak, it's probably gas burning off of the heater and it's not dangerous. We put up with it for 2 more weeks before we called them out again, the smell was still there and getting worse. They booked in a time for the next day to come out - the next day I got a call from the plumber to say he's looked back over the job and we should contact the water heater people directly and we shouldn't be charged a fee as it's a warranty call. The water heater team came out, said the water heater was fine, but identified a gas leak from a pipe next to the water heater, said we should engage a plumber to fix it. We got charged a call out fee for this attendance. When I asked Service Today to provide a quote for fixing the leak (that they said wasn't there) and to cover the cost of the call out fee from the water heater team, after several calls and over the course of a morning I spoke with manager who said that when the plumber came out and said there was no gas leak, he meant no gas leak from the water heater. If we understood that that meant no gas leak in general, that was on us. Service Today's responsibility is the water heater alone, and to assess for a gas leak in the pipe next to the water heater is not their job. I found this very frustrating and inconsiderate. They declined to cover the extra call out fee and needed to come out again if we wanted a quote to fix the gas leak. If we had called a different plumber when we thought we had a gas leak, we would not have waited 2 weeks, needed to wait for 3 different attendances, and paid a callout fee that was completely unnecessary. We have engaged a new company to assess the job and give us a quote, something that could have been done back at the start. Service Today will provide you 'something' today, but it is hard-pressed to call it 'service'.
Botched booking system and poor communication/follow-through – I had the most frustrating and disappointing experience with Service Today, after previously being a loyal customer for years. My plumbing job was booked for an arrival timeframe of 8am - 12pm, and I received a call from the plumber at 12pm to say that he was 20 mins away. the required deposit ($150). He then reassigned the actual work to another plumber for the 12pm - 4pm timeframe and left to attend another job, which I thought was odd.
I waited until about 2.30pm to contact the customer service team and see if we could reschedule the work to another day if the second plumber was not nearby, since the required work was important but not an emergency. The person who answered my call checked and said that the plumber would be there within 30 mins, so I agreed to wait. The 30 mins went by, then an hour, and at approximately 3.45pm a different plumber finally showed up. After a brief but confusing conversation, we realised that the address was correct but the job he'd been assigned was wrong - this plumber had a different name to what I'd been told, and he was expecting to fix a blocked toilet (not the kitchen sink issues I'd requested).
It was 4pm by then, so I told the wrongly-assigned plumber that I'd had enough and was going to lock up and head off to be very late to my other commitment. I then called customer service to express my disappointment and request my $150 deposit back so that I could go with a different company. I was placed on hold for a few minutes before being told that a manager would call me back. I explained to the customer service representative that I would be driving for approximately the next hour, so if I couldn't answer the call, could they please leave a message and I'd call them back.
The phone call from the manager never came - absolutely appalling service! I just want my deposit back so that I can move on from this ordeal and never use Service Today again.

Have been charged $484.61 for another job that included kitchen, bath and shower testing, as they wrote in their invoice, however the testing was only done for the shower, not the kitchen and bath. before quoting me 3 times the amount as someone else did, for the completion of the problem, This is before I have found out they can't find my previous jobs done by them. This is unprofessional and should not have happened, they have NOT kept invoices showing customer warranty details for the work done by them, I have paid them a lot of money, but no customer records kept, I have questioned them about it and forwarded them an invoice, for which they have replied with, it has no address and name on the invoice, so they don't know its my address, this is how they value their warranties for the work done by them, they are responsible to have the details about these jobs, I DO NOT recommend this company to anybody.

A legendary Plumber – Mustaffa (sp) was fantastic and went over and above the call of duty to fix the leak putting himself through some physical discomfort in doing so. Too expensive initially but they are an ethical firm and it was settled amicably – Needed a new trap on shower outlet. $600+. Is that a fair price for the job.? Unable to resolve but charged the quoted amount – Called out to find the block drain. Was quoted $770 to complete. Paid upfront but after trying to jet through, he the advised he didn’t have the equipment to unblock and left. No deduction for not completing the job, no solution just walked away!!
