Overall great range of shoes with fantastic in store custimer service but online store needs to be changed. Issues with online store falsely stating returns timeframe 30 days when actually "sale" items (not clearance or final sale as per their t&cs) only have 14 day returns. Provided feedback over months and nothing has changed. When using rewards… Read more

they are spread over all shies rather than being taken off the total price. When you return some shoes in order they only can refund the cost of shoe minus the reward.. so in effect you lose your rewards! (Not put back into your account). Could be such an incredible company but these frustrations make me think twice about buying from them.

I ordered a paid of school shoes and the sizes are in UK sizes and they only exchange. I tried to contact them immediately but was told nothing they can do. Robot service to start with and then a customer service person that basically told me bad luck. VERY disappointing and will not shop their again. Show details

I visited the Shoes & Sox store in Narellan to buy school shoes for my 12-year-old son and shoes for my daughters. We purchased a pair of Harrison school shoes for my son at a cost of $160. After one day of wear, my son developed blisters on both heels. We contacted the store, as this clearly indicates a problem with fit or quality. The staff… Read more

member told us that blisters are “normal” and refused both a refund and an exchange because the shoes had been worn once. We were given a small piece of felt to stick inside the shoe as a solution.

This is completely unacceptable for shoes at this price point, especially school shoes marketed for daily wear by children. If blistering on the first day is considered “normal,” then the quality does not justify the cost. We could have paid a quarter of the price elsewhere and expected the same result.

We regret shopping here and will not return. I would not recommend this store to parents looking for comfortable, well-fitted school shoes.

I purchased the Clarks Bailee for my daughter. Within the first week of school the front rubber were scuffed and irreparable. Within one term there is a hole in the sole on one shoe and the other shoe is looking like it will do the same. I clean and polished the shoes every week and they look worn and terrible. Don’t waste your money - $150 school shoes for one term of school. Show details

Garbage quality, terrible support – Garbage school shoes. Don’t waste your time, the leather on the toe of the Harrison shoes they sell is branded as hard wearing and started to scuff and peel after two days wear. My daughter had Clarks for 6 months and didnt have this issue. Both instore and online support were dismissive saying it’s normal wear and tear (after 2 days?!?) and it… Read more

was too bad. They were not cheap so you’d expect more. Very poor quality and even worse handling by support staff.

Got Dangerously Faulty Shoes - They Didn’t Care – I bought a VERY expensive pair of shoes for our toddler from here. After wearing the shoe for a little while I later discovered one sole was significantly thicker and harder than the other. This is a HUGE issue for an adult, let alone a toddler’s growing spine. We had been taking our son to the chiro for weeks with a recurring issue before… Read more

we realized it was the shoe causing the issue the whole time. To say I was mortified my sons growing spine had been impacted this way is an understatement.

What made the whole thing absolutely worse is when I wrote to customer service they brushed it off - ‘it happens’. I was gobsmacked. My sons spine has been compromised from faulty shoes and they didn’t want to take ANY responsibility for selling a faulty shoe.

If you want confidence that your child’s health and well-being is a priority, GO ELSEWHERE.

Easy service, returns process and the right fit – I started buying my eldest’s school shoes from Shoes & Sox because of the fitting service and because I was sick of replacing cheap shoes every few months. I did mistakenly buy the wrong size online this year. I found that it’s pretty much… Read more

impossible to reach them by phone, however, I gave up and emailed. I did get a response by email pretty promptly with a paid return postage label so I could bag up the shoes and post them back - all tracked, refund issued straight back to my card. No dramas.

In the meantime I was able to get my daughter’s feet measured at one of their Myer concessions and get the right fit and everything worked out.

We pretty much exclusively buy Clarks through S&S because they have everything we need and the fitting service is always tops.

Follow-up  · "How long did refund take?" The refund was very quick. Tip off: I had tried to contact them by phone originally. I don't recommend trying to call them. They don't answer the phone (customer service line). It's constantly busy and just makes you hang up. Note: that is the customer service support team NOT a store - I have never tried to call a… Read more

Went in to the Joondalup store today to buy a pair of shoes for my son, the store was not busy and there was a lady behind the counter, I was patiently waiting so I could ask for the right size which I knew for my son and fit him myself. she told me… Read more

I had to use a QR CODE to get served, I was confused as I didn’t see a sign to sign in thinking we’re not in Covid times, and I just assumed walking in and looking at shoes you would naturally be greeted, upon waiting but she grunted at me,as I said I know what size I am after, she’s telling me to sign in and mumbling under her breath she said ‘ahhh what size’ and rolled her eyes. She was so rude and made me feel like an id*ot and others were staring at me. I didn’t appreciate being spoken to like that, so I left the shoes back and walked out. We went to the Athletes foot and got acknowledgment and politeness straight away. I have now unsubscribed to shoes & sox.

Follow-up  · The shop had atleast 3 workers working and fluffing about. The QR CODE was for getting in line and waiting to be served. Although there was no sign to say scan the QR code to be served.

We purchased a pair of black shoes last Friday for our son’s first day of school on 2 February. Unfortunately, we noticed that the lines on the front of both shoes had come off. As the shoes were only worn for the first time today (2 February), we returned to the Hornsby store to request an exchange due to this quality issue. [Name Removed]… Read more

kindly assisted us and arranged a replacement pair. However, when she returned to the cashier and spoke with her colleague, we noticed from their facial expressions and body language that they appeared annoyed and questioned why the shoes had this issue. Her colleague also challenged us about how the lines came off. We explained that the shoes had only been worn once since purchase.

This experience made us feel uncomfortable and disappointed. We would like to bring this matter to your attention, as this level of customer service does not meet basic expectations. If staff are unwilling to assist customers respectfully, it may be better for those opportunities to be given to others who are willing to provide good service.

Dreadful customer service. Went to get a refund for shoes at the Miranda store that were a Christmas gift and are the incorrect size. Wanted it in writing that this… Read more

I bought $80.00 sneakers for my child for school and they fell apart after 6 weeks. Despite having bought this very reputable brand, New Balance a few times before, from different sellers where we have never had an issue. This pair clearly is faulty/damaged, perhaps Shoes & Sox are selling inferior versions to make more of a profit? Shoes & Sox… Read more

were of no help and only referred me back to The Iconic, despite Shoes & Sox being the seller and The Iconic being the distributor. It was defintely not just "wear & tear". I will never shop here again and will definitely be passing on my experience to warn other parents/families to shop elsewhere in the future. Incredibly disappointing.

Won't honour Qantas points & shouldn’t be a Qantas partner. Made an online order and ensured I linked to their site from the Qantas shopping site to take advantage of Qantas points accrued from sale. was access via Qantas affiliate link, and proof that Qantas shopping site should have been tracking order and submitted it to Qantas Shopping team. With all other retailers where the purchases wasn’t successfully tracked this burden of proof was enough to get the points award swiftly rectified but in this case Shoes & Sox flat out refused to honour it. I tried contacting them directly and they kept putting the blame back on Qantas even though Qantas were very clear that its was Shoes & Sox's refusal to honour. This sort of dishonesty is appalling and I cant believe this dodgy mob is still listed as a Qantas partner.

Awful quality - STAY CLEAR. Bought a pair of sneakers for school - after a month they were basically destroyed. If a shoe cant tolerate a month of an 11 year old sitting in a classroom and playing for 45 mins a day at lunch time what on earth are you paying for. I will NEVER buy shoes from these people again - same brands bought at platypus, hype etc have last us a full year.

I lodged a formal complaint a few weeks ago regarding the poor customer service I received from a staff member at your Doncaster store. I was assured that the Regional Manager would contact me to discuss the issue; however, it has now been a few… Read more

weeks, and I have not received any response despite a follow-up email.

To reiterate, the incident involved a staff member who treated me and my grandchild disrespectfully when we were simply waiting in the queue for service. Instead of offering assistance, she stated, “That is my customer’s seat,” rather than something more courteous such as, “I’ll clear the shoes so you may sit here while my current customer is being served.”

I am disappointed that this matter has neither been acknowledged nor followed up as promised.

Poor quality products – I bought my daughter some sandals less than two months ago, she wore them approximately 6 times indoors and the fabric became frayed and worn. Sox and Shoes refused to replace these stating these are a “party shoe” and therefore not expected to be able to be worn to the same extent as a regular sandal. These sandals cost $50. Absolutely ridiculous

Very poor customer service – I purchased a pair of reputable school shoes for my daughter in kindergarten. She wore them for less than six months and one of the velcro straps broke and was clearly faulty. The saleswoman was totally disinterested, refused to accept that the item was faulty and blamed it on the way that my daughter put on and took off her shoes. This was a huge assumption and total rubbish. Show details

service. They said that the damage was due to wear and and tear even though the shoe is clearly not fit for purpose if this was the case. You can’t say it’s wear and tear for a shoe to be damaged after two short wears. I believe it came cut from their store or it happened in transit as they sent them in a bag with no protection. It didn’t come in a box. They basically said that it was too bad and that’s how they send items and took no responsibility. They refused to replace the item even though it’s clear that it‘s going to end up turning into a major tear if she continues wearing them. They took weeks to reply to every email I sent and they didn’t even reply to my last one at all. I am so disappointed for my daughter as you want something to be perfect when you buy something for their birthday. I would never buy from this company again. If you have a problem, the customer service is non existent.

Terrible quality shoes not legit – I haven’t even purchased any of there shoes. I walked into the shop at Frankston for the first time ever. Hoping to find some shoes for my son. Just looking at the quality you can tell they are a fake, better going to a market to buy shoes it's the same if not worse quality. And very overpriced. People that shop here are getting ripped off. All made in China I read. Show details

The quality of these shoes is terrible – I dont know where these shoes are being made, but they are absolute rubbish. I have bought 3 pairs in 24 months for my 5 year old, and each pair - priced around $100 - has had some fault that has manifested itself within 4 weeks. Most recent pair is Nike. Less than 3 weeks into school term, and they are coming apart (sole separating from shoe at… Read more

the toe). See photo. Previous pair was Asics. Within a month, the velcro strap split into 2 - see photos. Had to try sewing it, glueing it, before settling on staples. The other pair was Adidas and I had to return them. To the stores credit, they replaced those ones for me. But honestly, these are expensive children's shoes and they are rubbish. 5 year old kids don't thrash shoes that hard. The fact multiple brands cant last a month, without a fault, is really concerning

Pathetic - there is no customer service – I bought school shoes on the 24th January and paid for express post shipping. I still haven’t received them! And I called the customer service phone line 19 times today from when it opened until it closed and not once was it picked up. It just says they are busy and to call back later or sent an email which takes 5 business days. Go elsewhere! I’m going to make a complaint to consumer affairs as well.
