DOA items - they want me to pay to return
I ordered a CPU + Motherboard combo.
I installed it and it was not drawing any power.
I contacted support, they asked me to mail it back, giving me nothing more than the address. Yep, thats right, they want me to pay shipping for a DOA item.
They're now ignoring my emails.
No after sales service don't risk it.
I suggest no one buy anything from Shopping Express. If you ever have to return something that is faulty you will lose your money as there is no after sales support. If you have to return faulty items even within 7 days or they are DOA they will not refund you.
great purchase experience
Bought 2k of PC build components at significantly cheaper price then competitors. James handled technical questions and support during the process as well as organised a refund for a component I changed my mind on. I was initially skeptical based on the number of poor reviews, but pleasantly surprised with everything really. Good products/price quick delivery, very prompt responses to all emails (and I made a few), and no problems with change of mind (before delivery) and associated refund.
Two purchases over a 12 month period without hassles
I've ordered twice of these guys now and both times got my orders very quickly. I was a little nervous after reading reviews here but both times stock was showing and was accurate
Best Customer Service and on time delivery
I was looking to buy an HP laser printer and saw only shopping express have the lower price plus another 10% off for the weekend. However after saw the many negative reviews of shopping review, i actually gamble my money of close to $900 for the printer by order with them. I had so many question in mind, was the printer and IT equipment are Australian stock or grey import, will they deliver on time.
However for my surprised James T replied the stock was brand new and Australian stock and he dispatch the stock on the same day and got it delive...red next day , it was friday afternoon in Sydney. The Printer was brand new in stock with sealed box and i checked the label, it was delivered to HP AUstralia, plus i confirmed by enter the serial no in HP site, it was AUstralian site. I email their customer service for set up the printer too and James T was very helpful. In My experience i am very satisfy with the service and product. I will shop again
Took payment and have yet to send after nearly 1 month. The never answer the phone due to "Covid". They do not answer emails. I have contacted NSW Department of Fair Trading. I hope I can get my money back.
Wont buy with them again
Have purchased 3 laptops of this company over the years. Initially very satisfied with everything until there was a problem with one of them. Laptop was still under manufacturer warranty. Jumped through many hoops and answered many questions as per the request of shopping express. Of course you cant telephone them and their only contact method is via email which were ironically answered by "James" to start with but eventually we were met with dead silence (no reply) ever. The warranty has now expired after many months of perseverance.
Don't buy through this company because they do not even back the manufacturers warranty. Steve.
Complete lack of customer service borderline a joke
As many have stated, it all goes fine until you have an issue with your product. Then customer service is completely unresponsive. It takes weeks for "James" to respond to any emails. They have taken their phone number down almost 2 years ago citing "Covid" as an excuse, meanwhile, we are now 100% back to normal. If you do receive a response, it's a half-arsed response that addresses 1/3 of your questions. That tells me they are not even reading the support tickets thouroughly.
I will never purchase from these guys again. This was my 4th large ticket purchase and the way they treat customers is appauling. They need to have a really hard look ar their customer support policies and sort it out, or risk losing a lot more business.
NEVER shop here - James is a scammer
Horrible experience where item has gone missing and customer service is ignoring me so I’ll now need to go to the tribunal to resolve this as the customer service from shopping express is non existent
Update : 6 months on and they have still done nothing and expected me to do everything in regards to this issue when as a company they need to follow it up as they sent it . I would highly recommend against ever buying anything from them
Update 2 : been nearly 1 year since purchase and still not received any kind of resolution in regards to thi...s I was offered a partial refund or store credit over two months ago and they are ignoring me again as I responded pretty much straight away . Update 3: have now since been completely ignored by James who has been horrendous this entire time . No credit or refund as promised for $200 even though it was a $1400 item that went missing . So now over a year on I don’t have the item or my money back and am not getting any further response from James Again AVOID at all costs
Worst Online Shopping Experience
Worst online shopping experience by far!
Purchased a graphics card during Black Friday sales, found a really good deal decided to hit go on it as I've been looking for one, for some time.
Received an email from Shopping Express saying it was dispatched with tracking with an expected delivery date of 3-5 business days. 7 days go on without any delivery, contacted their customer service team, and they told me to wait a few more days.
Waited the extra days still nothing, emailed them 8-10 times regarding the missing package, and didn't get one...single reply. Their customer service team is a joke and you can't even get in contact with them over the phone because of covid issues. Luckily I paid with Paypal so I raised a claim, however, I'm still waiting for the refund to come back to me. Don't even bother dealing with this company you'll just be wasting your time. They literally have no after-care response and literally just wipe their hands clean of any issues.
Horrible service, constant lies, and no refund
They claimed to have an item in stock for 24 hour dispatch. I paid immediately and expected the item to be shipped within 24 hours. It wasn't. I emailed them up 2 days later and they didn't respond. I emailed them again a day after that. They eventually responded to the first email saying the item was being shipped that day, and that a tracking number would be sent to me that afternoon. It wasn't. The following day they emailed me in response to my previous inquiry and said that the item was 'processing' - no mention of shipping time, tracking ...number, etc. I asked them to clarify because they told me 24 hours earlier that the item was shipped. They didn't respond. I told them to cancel the order and refund my money (thousands of dollars) because I bought on the condition of 24 hour dispatch which they failed to uphold, and they refused to tell me what was actually going on with my order. They agreed by email to cancel the order and issue a refund. They told me the refunded money would be with me in 2 days, at the most. They lied about the refund being processed - it's a week later and I still don't have my money and they are continuing to lie about refunding me. I have had to escalate the situation to my bank because Shopping Express refuse to call me or contact me, or give me a straight answer about my refund. From the beginning it took them days to respond to any message sent, and they are refusing to answer phone calls. Their communication has been woeful and they have not given me a straight answer about anything from the beginning. Don't buy from this company unless you want to gamble with your money and are willing to risk losing it and never receiving the products you pay for. I cannot imagine how infuriating it would be to have to deal with them for a warranty claim. Save yourself the trouble and just buy elsewhere.
Lost my trust
Used them several times over the years. No problem... only when things go well.
Recently I bought a power supply from them, but only got to installing it after 2 months. It turned out to be defective, and I had to pay the return postage because it was outside of 30 days. They sent me a replacement - this time I tested it immediately and it was defective (again). They paid the return postage and refunded me, but I had to chase them up for my refund.
At this point, their service is rather unprofessional, but ok.
So I bought from them again - a ...few expensive items which were split into two deliveries. One was delivered in good time, but the other was acknowledged as lost by Auspost after a month of waiting. I emailed Shopping Express who got a refund from Auspost. Shopping Express agreed in writing to refund me, but they have not. I have sent them multiple emails and all have been ignored. It has now been 5 weeks. They have ghosted me. Now I'm hoping to get the refund through consumer protection or my bank... however long that takes. Shopping Express is dishonest and have lost my trust. Is the cheaper price worth the risk? Maybe if it wasn't so much $ at stake. I definitely won't be buying anything expensive from them in future.
Zero after care/ service. Stay away.
Three week, 15 odd email, still no reply, not even an automatic response. Zero after care. Do not waste your time with these jokers. Their service is truly non existent. The small saving isn't with the issues you will face.
I bought with 30 day money back guarantee, and ended up needing to swap a item, but they don't reply....at all!
Good price, fast service
I ordered a keyboard which was listed on Amazon and most other places at $230. On Shopping Express the cost was $190 including shipping. Was shipped the next day, and received quickly. I didn't have need on after sales service, so I can't comment on that either way, but for what I needed it was great.
Non response to emails or items sent out
Ordered on Monday 29-11-21 was told would be dispatched Thursday at the latest as an item listed in stock was not available but other items would be sent. These were not dispatched as promised. Emailed on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. No response to any emails.

I saw a good laptop with a good price, however, I am not sure whether to order from this website, due to the mixed reviews. Could someone tell me whether I should order from this website or not?
James, We are still waiting for our desktops we paid for last week?!. We promised delivery Yesterday/Monday 06/07/2020 and you have not responded to phone calls or emails.

How did you go on with this SWCT ? I also have nasty experience with this bot called James. At least the email look like coming from a bot, not a person.
Is there any possibility of any connection, association, affiliation, or common antecedents between Shopping Express and a company called Shoppingsquare?
They appear to operate from the same general area of Sydney, close to the same suburb it seems?
They have similar selling formats, sell the same type of goods, advertise goods "in stock" when the goods are "not in stock". Both engage in heavy "spam" type advertising, and certainly appear to treat customers in the same way.
I am not suggesting that they have any real connection, but because of the unfortunate similarities in location and operating methods, I am just asking if any one has any evidence to suggest that a connection is a possibility.
It would be an unfortunate coincidence if we have two separate, unrelated, on line organisations, marketing the same type of goods and who have evolved at the same time and place, and with the same or very similar attitudes to advertising, delivery and customer support.
Don't know about Shopping Square but I have been to Shopping Express premises in Botany Road, Alexandria concerning a non delivery and they are associated with KS Computers at Auburn, Sydney, NSW. I w...as given the goods by Shopping Express but the invoice said "KS Computers". Recently I ordered some SD cards from KS Computers, and received delivery notification from "Shallothead" and the goods were delivered by Shopping Express. I have bought several items from both companies without any problems.
Interesting that these clowns are associated with KS computers. I ordered a hard drive from KS, thinking that it was in stock. What they actually meant was, it was in stock with their suppliers. Once...the suppliers delivered it to them, they would deliver it to me. It toik a lot longer that I had hoped. Both companies are on my naughty list now.
