The tradesman turned up (he was great), pulled out the old silicon on the top edge of the bath, scraped it out with a simple tool (yes there was mould behind), cleaned it with metho and used a $15 product from Bunnings (SIKASeal Kitchen and bathroom) and reapplied silicone and smoothed it with a $5 edger. Another clear product was applied around taps and cement grout. That was it. The diamond tipped tool (a drill piece) wasn't used. And I was charged $800. My impression, from the initial visit and quote, was some special technique and equipment would be used. Zero. Zilch.
If that was all that was involved, I could have done it myself for a fraction of the price.
Okay, the silicone looks great, the tradie did a good job (it's neat etc); but where is the Multi Award Winning Diamond Seal Process and the SealRight TM process or product? Not used, but quoted.
Very disappointing and a huge hit to the hip pocket.
These guys were recommended to me via my strata company, that is why I tried them out.

The contractor advised we had Cement grout on the wall tiles and per their Quote that wouldn't be removed, but instead your Hyrdo sealer would be used. Hydro Sealer has been used - should this mould have been treated first?
In the second shower there is a gap in the grout on the wall tiles. This should have been filled and sealed. We reached out via email about our concerns and to get them to return and fill the grout gap in the 2nd shower and have not had a reply.

Impressive – I had a couple of quotes this being the most competitive however regardless the professionalism from the beginning to the end was excellent. Iggy was clean efficient. Job done in two hours fixed my leaking shower and re-grouted and resealed old sealant around bath and vanity I’m very impressed and would highly recommend this company to anyone. Show reply

Atrocious. Damaged 6 tiles, 3 weeks without shower. Poor communication – Very Dissatisfied. Destroyed 6 tiles with up to 15cm scratches. Steer clear. 3 weeks without the shower to finally get tiles replaced. Multiple unreturned communications. Did not grout the floor initially. I thought SRC did a professional job; however, my wife was not convinced. It's true, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Over all the tradie we had was efficient, friendly, cleaned up after himself and explained what he was going to do. review and let me know. I didn't hear back after many days. Sent second email asking an update. No reply. The day our house was due for Settlement, the buyer was asking for the shower repair receipt. I called and they wouldn't let us speak to a manager. I had to make the full payment as Settlement needed to proceed.
Missed two calls from manager later and she sent a very unprofessional email. Basically her email sounded like it was my fault and what I should have done and not done. Full of excuses and very inappropriate commands. I would give zero stars if it was possible.
Stay away if you want a good job done. Pay the money and get real professionals to do the work.

The regrouting and resealing of our ensuite was done on time and very professionally. Oscar was the technician and he was a very professional, pleasant man. He left the ensuite perfectly clean. Service was very good. Tradesman was punctual and put so much effort into doing a brilliant job. The old shower recess now looks fabulous. We assume the waterproofing aspect is all good now but we will observe that over the next couple of months. A very good company to deal with. I highly recommend The Shower Repair Centre.

second not first as there was a little more re-grouting to be done when the old frame was replaced. When I called they accepted their advice had been wrong so sent a tradie a second time to finish the job the day after the new door was fitted - no extra charge.
My experience – Booked job to start at 7.30 and arrived on time. Big tick from me. Jon completed within 3 hrs. Bathroom left clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this for anyone that has a leaking shower. If needed in our other bathroom would use again. Show reply
Fixed old leaking shower – These guys fixed our leaking 32 year old shower. Removed the grout in the floor and tiles and then re-grouted it. No more leaks and we’re very happy with the outcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Show reply
