because in all likelihood it's not a new phone but an As New phone that's been tampered with. I couldn't take the risk on such an expensive purchase, that I couldn't check the IMEI without switching it on. And the hassle to get the phone checked by Google in the 2 days they give if you change your mind, because it's a tampered phone, just not worth it. So you send back the phone, lodge a case with PayPal for all of the money including the extra fee, and they harrass you to drop the case for the fee so you can get the majority of the money back. They tell you that the PayPal fee is non refundable, not anywhere in the listings on Gumtree, eBay or their website. Charging the PayPal fee seperately is an illegal practice! They Will also say that phone was never listed with the original box or cable, in an attempt to get around the not as described. Then don't list as new, and don't charge premium prices for said phones. I'm glad that these guys think that the only response to bad reviews is not to apologize but claim that 99% of their customers are satisfied. The stress of buying a phone through these guys online is just not worth it.

Stay Away From These Scammers – Sold me a supposedly brand new iPhone but it didn’t work. Took it to Apple for a warranty claim and they refused to do anything as the phone had been tampered with so clearly wasn’t new. Seller was rude and aggressive and although he eventually agreed to refund me the service fee he then refused unless I left a positive review. Disgusting people. then when I told them Mobile Monster is paying 700 for the phone, and on your website it states u price match with Mobile Monster they said that it was just words on their website and we don't want the phone no more. Stop misleading customers and take of words from your website that you cannot Honour. I then sold my phone to a respectable 2nd hand mobile phone company and got 700.00 for it. What this company should have given me in the first place. STAY AWAY they mislead and are false advertising.

I am appalled that they didn't sent what I wanted after already contacting me once and saying they didn't have what I wanted and asking for more money. I only purchased with this company as they were local and had good reviews. Don't believe the reviews and don't buy from this company. I am now sending the product back and hopefully I will get a full refund.

Great service – Dropped in to ask if they could help with a problem I had with my IPhone. Very helpful young man tested it and told me it would take 3 minutes to fix. 3 minutes later he handed me my phone all sorted. When I asked how much he’s said “on the house”. Don't ever buy a phone from skytree – Do not buy a phone from here, they will sell you a broken phone and lie to you that it had warranty and when it breaks after one or two weeks they will tell you to bring it in will try and dodgie repair it and it will break again. I bought a Samsung s7 for $400 was promised two years warranty, took the phone home stopped working would not charge took it back and complained they tried to blame me finally swapped it for another phone which I took home and once again this phone broke within a few weeks and Samsung refuse to repair it, stating that the phone had been tampered with. They are dishonest sell faulty products and lie about warranty I would never purchase a product from them. Also there charges are cheap imports from India and stop working after a week.

Avoid this business and buy a phone from a reputable brand.

After 5 minutes I got a reply saying that the phone had already been sold and they would refund my payment straight away. 30 minutes later there was still no refund so I emailed and said could they refund the money asap so I can purchase another… Read more

phone from a different seller and that I need the refund to complete the new transaction. 3 hours later and no reply, no refund..... nothing. I figured this looks like a [Content Removed] so I would dispute it through PayPal. I filed the dispute and within the next 5 minutes I got a lame reply saying to cancel the dispute because they couldn't refund while the dispute was active. I said that was a complete lie and I will report them to eBay. I then copied the email they sent to me and added it to the PayPal dispute. 2 hours later I got an email saying they would see if they could process the refund as PayPal didn't work properly for them. I reported it to eBay then suddenly the refund appeared in my PayPal account. I can't believe that they were going to try and hold my payment even though they didn't have the item anymore. Why they couldn't have refunded me when they sent the initial email in the first 5 minutes is beyond me. Avoid them like the plague!
