support the arch of my lower back. Instead I can feel it putting extra pressure on it. My chiropractor has verified this and said that firm mattresses are only helpful for people with straight spines, which isn’t common.

I’ve added a topper to soften it but I still wake up constantly throughout the night and can’t get a good nights sleep. I’m now atuck with this awful mattress. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Excellent mattress, but could be firmer – I was looking for an Australian Made, ultra firm sprung mattress, not foam, after developing back problems from sleeping on a 10 year old IKEA mattress. quality than my saggy IKEA Hovag. It's much heavier too, I couldn't lift it. Unboxing was straight forward and the kids used the box as a race car afterwards. The mattress has far more springs than the Ikea. There is no disturbance from my heavier partner. The materials have a premium look and feel. I also got 15% off by using the Bed Buyer voucher code :-). Very happy with the mattress, and price point. If I had to make one improvement, I would make the mattress firmer. I weigh 60kgs and would rate the mattress as a 7/10 firmness. I sometimes sleep on the floor so am used to a 10/10 hardness of a wooden floor.

Has not sagged after months of wear, finally a truly extra firm mattress – A truly firm mattress! Finally! And the fact it comes boxed is even more impressive. a lot better in my back, as I have always had problems due to working long hours in hospitality. And in my hips too; I still sleep with a pillow between my legs which helps but I have noticed a difference definitely. My old mattress claimed to be firm but certainly wasn’t this firm. This is FIRM. As advertised. The edges are firm too which is great. Not like other mattress where they tend to bow when sitting on the edge. I also love the dark colour, although I have put a mattress protector on it, it just makes sense for mattresses to be dark if a stain does occur (coffee in bed haha) The mattress also came surprisingly quickly, and although very heavy I did manage to push it up 3 flights of stairs by myself - not sure how - but it’s doable. It’s a keeper! – I have back pain from my old soft mattress and wanted a new firm one that is better for the body. It’s firm, really firm! It took a week or so to get used to but now, I can’t dream of any other softer mattress. It has just enough give to be comfortable even laying on my side, and it feels so supportive. Exactly as advertised. Grant so far! – As advertised this is a very firm mattress but not uncomfortably so. Finding it much more supportive for my back. If big person avoid this mattress … – I found this online it said something like was meant to be firm or number 1 firm mattress … it’s actually quite soft and has sunk. Got a bit of a palm off when I emailed about my warranty … didn’t email them back - it’s not super bad … but if you’re a big guy and need a firm mattress don’t buy this … I wake up with a sore lower back and hip every morning. Show details

sciatic symptoms again so not sure if this mattress will work out on value as I’ll prob go and buy a properly sprung mattress now. Worth a go but if you’re wanting longevity and/or have back issues I’d rethink the investment.

A great quality mattress but not for us – The quality of the Sleep Firm is undoubtedly top notch, only we realised after a couple of weeks that we sleep better on a softer mattress. I had horrible neck pain after the first night of sleep that went away after a few days. I think the mattress is of great quality, we just need something softer. Best Firm Mattress – Probably the best mattress I’ve ever purchased and absolutely the best sleep I’ve had in a long while. I got the mattress quite promptly but my bed itself was delayed. I’m saying this after 2 weeks of actually using the mattress but absolutely the best investment I’ve made, and it feels so much better than any Tempur/SleepMattress or any of those brands I’ve ever slept on. Best 40th birthday gift – I bought this mattress for my sisters 40th. She has an existing back injury and after using this mattress she instantly noticed an difference in quality of sleep. incredibly supportive, hasn't sagged, is sufficiently cooling and my quality of sleep has drastically improved. The mattress could stand to be slightly more reinforced on its edges and follow-up post purchase could be improved, however these factors haven't detracted from my overall enjoyment of the mattress.

Very relieved! – I was getting desperate with back and hip pain and spending so much on chiropractor visits. I realised I needed to change to a firm mattress and googled the firmest available. Easy, firm and exactly what we wanted – The mattress was delivered easily and the process was straight forward. The mattress itself was quite firm and that's what we wanted, it is comfortable at the top layer but firm underneath. It's held up well over the past 3-6 months of use.
