work different shift hours, the mattress is very good at isolating the other person's movement. When I was looking for a new mattress I had shopped around for a while at bedding and department stores. The things that made me try Sleeping Duck was the offer of the trial period and different firmness options, the option to have two firmness options on one bed was very good for my situation. Now that I have slept on the mattress for a few months I am very happy I chose this mattress. I also spent a lot less money than I could have on other brands that didn't have the options that SD has.

Disappointing – Purchased the mattress and pillows in 2019. Called to buy a replacement of the pillow protector that the pillow comes with. that helped. But over time, the mattress softened again, and the back pain came back with it. I even tried adding a firm topper to avoid having to replace the whole mattress, but it didn’t solve the problem.

More recently, I saw a specialist and found out my hips are now misaligned, which is what’s causing the lower back pain. I now need treatment to get things realigned.

I toss and turn all night and rarely sleep well. Honestly, I sleep better in hotels. It’s frustrating to be back at square one just three years later, needing to spend serious money again on a proper firm, supportive mattress.

I never had back issues before this mattress, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re after long-term firmness and support.

had comfort issues with both the product and the mode of operation of the company, so we continued to search for alternatives. Inevitably, we would come back to 'the duck' as our perceived best option. But what about all the sales promises, 100 days of adjustments, etc etc. We continued to search. Again we came back.to the 'duck'. We finally took the plunge of faith and placed the order. Can I tell you.... It was the best descision ever!!! The transaction was easy, delivery on time and as expected. Removal of old mattress .... no probs. We ordered a half half. King and the Base as well. After one night...I was in Heaven!!! Firm suited me perfectly. My partner 'R' was not there yet. We tried swapping the sides, but no..... so.made the call to SDHQ and like lightning our 'soft' order was on it's way. R was also in heaven! But as she has other issues (reflux etc) we contacted SDHQ again to request a segmented pack of adjustment foam. This was also on it's way in no time, but not only that, some excellent advice as to what else we could do to alleviate the problem. Happy to say, I believe that with the help of the 'duck' team, we are both loving the bed and base!!

So...we would rate the product as 5 stars without a doubt. Customer service and living up to expectations....10 star if it were possible!! As stated....to anyone unsure and wondering.... DO IT !!!

if I could change out my husbands totally medium side to a segmented version of Med, Soft, Med, Med, Med, Med. Although I was fine lining my 100 days of change up, they wanted to assure my comfort and sent me the changed segments. My lower back discomfort is now far better controlled and both my husband and I are loving our sleep and the flexibility of changing around the segments. This is something that we have never had before and are thoroughly enjoying the support provided and the pressure on my heels has now gone. I honestly have never slept in something that's as comfortable as this sleeping duck mattress. The half - alf was a necessity for myself and my SO and has not disappointed. Over the last couple of years, we the purchased 3 different mattresses. The first we sent back the 2nd we gave away and the third was the most expensive and we had to fight to get our money back. multiple times. I haven’t had a good sleep in 2 years. Never have I had a mattress that fails so badly after a short amount of time. Spend the money on a proper mattress. I will never buy a sleeping duck mattress ever again and I’ll definitely make sure to tell other people about it. Also good luck getting any kind of real solution from them. Their “warranty” is useless.

recommended by the manufacturer but all of this has made no difference. No point claiming on their ridiculous warranty as visually it looks perfect, it's only when you lie on it that you feel the sagging. Will stick with Sealy from now on who don't have ridiculous caveats in their warranty.

After sales support issues – Mattress is initially quite comfy but some issues with after sales support not being able to swap the firmness of pillows. issues at the transition point in the middle. We have rotated once (at the monthly mark) with ease and used the second top cover due to a sick kid one night, but it meant we could all get back in bed and get the rest we needed.

Love it but heavy when changing the sheets – I love the SD mattress and indestructible base, my husband is waiting another 2 weeks before asking for a firmer option on his side. My back hasn't ached like it did before and I don't 'hobble' when I get out of bed. The only problem I have found is that the mattress is very heavy to lift when changing the sheets (we are both in our mid 70's). Has anyone any suggestions to make it easier to change the sheets? medium side caused me severe back pain. After a week, I switched to the firm side.

I spent a month on the firm side but could only sleep on my side due to persistent back pain. I initially thought my body needed time to adjust, but the pain never subsided. So, I contacted customer service and was advised to try a medium-firm combination first. It didn’t help, so I eventually ordered extra firm inserts. These alleviated my back pain but significantly reduced comfort, leaving me waking up stiff every morning.

Eventually, I removed the anti-gravity layer from the mattress, and while my back pain went away, the mattress still wasn’t comfortable. I kept hoping I’d get used to it, but by the time I realized that wasn’t going to happen, the warranty period had expired. Now, 9 months later, I’m getting rid of the mattress. Instead of the restful sleep I had hoped for, it’s been a nightmare. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that I should have returned it when I first had doubts.

For my next mattress, I’m buying from Costco so I can return it if it doesn’t work out.

Nothing too much trouble for the wonderful staff at SD – We got the split system mattresses: mine medium and my husband firm. To be honest we couldn't tell the difference between the two, so I ordered the extra firm and that is unbelieveably different to the medium. 300 AUD. Considering that we bought the mattress at a premium price, I expected a more reasonable solution for replacing the top bedding. It's frustrating to think that we can purchase a completely new mattress for less than that amount.

In summary, while the mattress was okay at first, the durability has been poor, and the lack of affordable options for replacements is unacceptable. I expected better service and value from a premium brand. I do not recommend this mattress if you want longevity and support.

Impressed – We had a King size Tempur Mattress and after 8 years it was sagging badly, I had constant lower back and neck pain. I like the medium base and my partner likes the firm, we bought the medium/medium and they sent the firm for us to try, SO glad we did and its very comfortable. We're both sleeping so much better and my pain issues are subsiding. I am impressed with the sales process, quality of the product, the delivery (he took it into our bedroom for us) and comms during delivery, the after sales service and the ability to configure the mattress. 5 stars.

and no more than 60-65kgs. We both find this mattress terrible for hip support. We are both side sleepers and every night we get in bed is terrible, hips ache, back aches, legs ache, half the next morning you spend trying to fix what the mattress has done over night. The hips just feel like they sink far too much into the mattress and it throws your whole body out. We have tried the mattress on the floor to ensure its not the frame and we have also both tried the firm and medium inserts, I now use the firm and the missus stayed with the medium, nothing has helped much at all. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because it seems made well and it isn't a hot matress. FYI, we have had the matress for a few years so this isn't any sort of 'break in' period. We honestly just haven't had the money to buy another mattress.

As good as it’s reputation – I was hesitant about spending good money on a mattress I couldn’t see first however the reviews and reputation of Sleeping Duck were overwhelmingly good, plus of course the 100 nights free trial.
