slept in their guest bed I'd always feel more comfortable and have a better night's sleep. Then I'd come home to my own bed and feel uncomfortable and unable to sleep through the night. This issue has only increased over time. I've had the mattress for 3 years and 7 months now, and have just purchased a Sleepmaker to replace it. Apart from not getting a great night's sleep, I found it very hot in summer on whatever part of my body was touching the mattress, and at over 40kg it was impossible for me to rotate the mattress myself to get even wear. I won't be purchasing a Sleeping Duck mattress again.

removing the old mattress and unpacking the new one. They also removed the packing material. The mattress comes with a 100 night money-back trial period during which the firmness can be adjusted if and as needed (with extra options 'soft' and 'extrafirm' only available during this adjustment period and not when initially ordering the mattress online). After about 6 weeks I requested the firm side being replaced with a medium, which was mailed promptly via Australia Post, was easy to swap and works very well for me. They do not recycle the initial firmness foam but there was great interest for it on the trashnothing website. I had to change my pillow too as the old pillow did not work with this mattress.

several months now, and it's absolutely brilliant. Due to health issues, I've had years and years of challenges with different mattresses, trying to sort it out. The quality and versatility of the Sleeping Duck and its brilliant, accessible price is just mind-blowing. And for it to be possible for my partner to customise his side of the mattress as well? Just fantastic. The customisation also means that the mattress will last a lot longer. A small spend many years down the track can give it a new lease of life without having to throw the whole mattress out and start again. Plus if my needs change, it's a small spend to vary it. Another huge plus is the eco-credentials. Other mattresses have taken a lot longer to air (to outgas the chemicals), whereas the Sleeping Duck was very quick to air out. Critically important for me, and a huge bonus more generally for health, well-being and the environment. The best thing though, they've had me in tears twice (in a good way), overwhelmed with gratitude - and utter surprise. There's lip service customer care, and then there's the real deal. Their true kindness, compassionate care and genuine customer service were off-the-charts. I don't recall ever experiencing anything like it before. What a relief and delight it is to be treated so well and to be so happy with our super-comfy mattress that will suit our needs for countless years. How does it get any better than that? (Over two years later, I can now add that it does get better than that. It's still as good as day 1!)

My greatest concern was comfort. That is why I ordered a 50-50 (firm and medium). This was a unique advantage. In the end, the medium was the best result. Sleeping Duck even provided a soft so I could try it out. Maybe the best thing was - the company was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. big mattress into such a small box. Our original comfort level was medium which was great for my husband but after a few weeks we decided to try the firm, which I love. The great thing about this mattress is that each side is adjustable. My husband has medium and I have firm. Happy, happy. Also with the pocket spring we do not disturb each other at night any more. Highly recommend this mattress great customer service and one great mattress. Oh and don’t forget the awesome pillow too!!!!

Good at first but sags terribly within a couple of years – The mattress was pretty comfortable for the first couple of years and then the foam started to sag so badly that I wake up with a sore hip every morning. is sagging more than 3cm when you're not sitting or lying on it. What a joke! Their customer support is very condescending too and they'll make you feel like you're being gaslighted. They might as well not have a warranty at all because their prerequisites to claim under it are deliberately impossible to prove. Do yourself a favour and don't buy this mattress. It will only feel comfortable for a couple of years....if that! I'm betting most of the positive reviews are from people only a few weeks into having it. It does not last!

Absolute Disappointment – Purchased this mattress with high hopes. It is hard, uncomfortable and not great for anyone who runs hot. If you are a side sleeper, definitely forget this mattress. Your shoulders will hate you for buying it. A duck sleeps on average almost 11 hours a day. Unfortunately, you will not come even close to that if you buy this mattress. However the mattress is sagging & after being sent every adjustment insert known to man it just won't fix it. mattress other than basically I have to buy a new mattress. Do your research as this is in fact A BOX MATTRESS & you would be better spending extra on a decent mattress because box mattresses just don't have the support needed. Sleeping Duck very disappointed with your customer service & customer satisfaction. It's not like this hasn't been from the start of my purchase. It just gets lengthier because Sleeping Duck just keep offering insert changes. But insert changes can't fix a sagging mattress. Have compiled report to ACCC.

that you can have a half-and-half setup, allowing two different firmness levels in the same bed, it makes such a difference.

I also purchased the side-sleeper pillow, and it’s excellent. It’s the only pillow I’ve used that actually maintains its height, so I don’t wake up with shoulder or neck pain.

On top of that, the customer service is outstanding. I had several questions and requests throughout the process, and every time I received prompt, kind, and helpful responses. This has genuinely been the best customer service experience I’ve ever had, I wish all companies operated like this.

I would absolutely recommend giving the Sleeping Duck bed a try. If you’re looking for real comfort, customisation, and great sleep, this is it.

I am trying both sides of half & half. Med & firm. I have found the first side ( medium) very supportive. I am having a more consistent improvement in sleep duration. replacement for my side so I can get back on a firm mattress, because I am noticing a difference in my sleep. It really is the best decision I ever made to get a Sleeping Duck. The second issue was that I found I was sleeping hotter than I was on my old mattress, I hoped that upgrading to a firm would help with this, but alas it did not, so I ventured off to my local pillow talk and purchased a Hilton Wool mattress protector, it resolved the issue immediately and seems to act as an insulator between myself and the upper anti-gravity mattress. Overall we are happy with the purchase, but having to resolve the sleeping hot situation has reduced my rating to 4 star. Hopefully, SD will find a way to give their customers a cooler night's sleep with future models.

Not for us but great service received – We ended up returning our mattress for a full refund. It was good for one of us but not the other. We tried all of the different softness options. The PILLOWS, don't quite fit the pillow cases, and seem a little thin and undersized at first but are brilliant, in support and comfort and proved compatible with CPAP mask. they match the bed perfectly. severe and needs medical intervention but he has said this mattress is better than our previous one. This mattress is basically 2 mattresses, one on top of the other. The top layer allows for the different levels of firmness. The 2 layers do add to the overall weight and makes bed making somewhat difficult, including finding sheets that fit well. pain on a level of 8/10 and it took me a while to realise that it was the horrible Sealy mattress. You would never expect a mattress can cause this, especially when it says it’s a market leader in comfort and support. Also the mattress started to sink. So I will never buy a Sealy again. I then decided to try Ecosa after a recommendation and after much google searching. Most horrible ever! The return process was so complicated too. 2 night on that and me and my husband said goodbye.

Then I found Sleeping Duck Mach II and after reading so many positive reviews on this site about this excellent product and the service, I decided to try it. The website was informative and provided relevant content to make it easy to understand the difference Sleeping Duck has. The delivery was fast. The delivery drivers scratched my timer floors accidentally but one email to Sleeping Duck and they immediately sent me a courtesy discount of $200 and even offered to pay for a handyman to fix it. Additionally they sent me 2 free foam pillows for this hassle. Already I was so so impressed with this responsiveness to my one email. The foam pillows are perfect, I have now thrown away every physio contour pillow I own and switched to these.

Now about the SD Mach II mattress itself. I ordered Sleeping Duck Mack II Firm-Firm and within 2 days of sleeping on it, my pain levels on lower back started to decrease. My husband prefers medium so again one email to SDHQ and it was shipped to us asap. 2 weeks later I decided to try extra firm on my side, again shipped without hassle with one email to SDHQ.
