It's a beautiful mattress to sleep on, has support and softness in equal measures and I feel like I sink into the mattress, it's lovely. to be a problem for me is the weight of the mattress. I recently moved and it was easily the most difficult item to move because of its weight. But that is just me I think, my autoimmune condition affects my joints, muscles and tendons, so most bulky items are difficult for me. That's the only reason I have 4 starts only.
I can say I love this mattress. I'm glad I chose to buy this one on my Drs recommendation. The comfort it provides, combined with the support your body experiences makes it a worthy purchase.

It's 20x the quality of Emma mattresses. I have also added a super plush mattress protector that I had previously on top so it’s like sleeping on a supportive cloud. upgraded both the base/style and mattress from our original purchase, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Customer service, which has always been second to none, has somehow improved even further. The communication throughout - emails, calls and texts - was proactive, clear and professional. A big shout out to Steph, Zoey and the wider team for their outstanding support.
On delivery day, everything worked like clockwork. From Customer Service coordination to the installation team onsite, it was clear everyone operates in unison. The installation crew were fantastic - positive, capable, professional and even up for a laugh. No issue fazed them.
Despite the challenges of a second-storey delivery and a sloping driveway, the team handled everything effortlessly. Installation took just on an hour, and their workmanship and care were evident throughout. Well presented, well organised and clearly masters of their craft.
Their sheet sets, duvets, and overall quality of their products is amazing, we just bundled everything for ease.

any sort of compensation which was disappointing. They referred me to sleeping duck “get ready” email where they suggest to avoid wheels on hard floors. TBH I can’t even remember seeing this when I initially watched video. It would be difficult to avoid wheels on floors given they are screwed into the box. I had to unscrew them to avoid further damage to my floor and stairs when manoeuvrings up the stairs.
Better warning and emphasis on avoiding hard wood floors (perhaps big warning sticker on box or something) would have been helpful- maybe don’t put wheels on full stop…

Indestructible bed 5/5 So as the name suggests it is built like a tank and the materials used are of high quality. Essentially you need to build it on the spot you want it to remain as it would be heavy to move even with the help of two people. The build itself is not too difficult but there are lots of bolts screws etc. Fortunately everything lined up so no great dramas here. I did however looked on the internet for a YouTube video which shows the build process. That was incredibly helpful and gave me the confidence to proceed with the order.
Mattress 3/5 This is the interesting bit and subjective. I come from having your standard inner spring Sealy mattress. So I am used to a more responsive mattress. Foam does have a different feel about it. The other thing I had noticed during my testing period, which was predominantly the summer months, I found that it retained a bit of heat. This is why I deliberated for such a long time on whether or not to keep this mattress. I was determined to see if this could be resolved as I like all the other aspects of the mattress including a removable washable cover and swapping around the foam for longevity. I went about changing the component adapt foam and purchasing the SD sheets and duvet. These things did not help much or if any. I was coming to the end of my trial period and thought there is a lot to like about this mattress and spring base but what more can I do. This isn’t rocket science. I have been reading a lot about latex. Perhaps this can both address responsiveness and heat retention. I took a chance and bought a Quokka basic latex topper and replaced the antigravity foam with it. At this point the trial period was about to end so it was a risk. Certainly the topper had the responsiveness I was happy with but I don’t think it truly addressed the heat retention. Heat retention is a double edged sword. In summer it is not great but in winter it is a blessing.
Sheets and Duvet 4/5 The sheets and duvet are incredibly soft and light weight. Although for me they don’t address heat retention of the mattress they are a good addition.

Follow-up · This is still our favourite mattress. While it is quite heavy I am 72 and have no trouble lifting the corners for my fitted sheets. The warranty is great and allows time to ensure it works for you and delivery was quick. Follow-up · Set up couldn’t have been easier. At 89 some sleepless nights are unavoidable, but it’s nice to be comfortable while sleepless, I have noted however that there are less of them now. I will however take up their free option of an added firmer support. No negatives only positives.

frame, but we are still astounded at the quality of the mattress. We weren't sure whether we needed a KING!- but Oh Boy- yes it takes up a lot of room, but it's so nice to stretch out! PLUS and I guess this is what most people are interested in, the mattress itself is fabulous. We went with the firm on one side- medium on the other. I like firm, but I was a little unsure if it might be too firm. IT IS PERFECT. My wife likes the medium, and when I lie on it- I think- yeah I could sleep really well on that too! So far we have turned the mattress once and unzipped the top cover to switch the inserts to the other side- all worked as expected. There was a lot of discussion in forums about not being able to lift the corners to put the sheets on??? What- I don't think that at all. I was prepared to do this if it came down to it- however my wife did it easily! I know the mattress is not a 'budget' offering, but in this case you really do get what you pay for. A way better adjustable mattress that can be cleaned and modified! – We have had a Sleeping Duck SD Mach II mattress for about two months. The whole process from order to delivery to unwrapping was easy and seamless. The mattress is quite heavy to move but is perfectly manageable by two people. 'anti-gravity' layer (pictured) which appears to be in it's own removable cover (zip2). Beneath that is another removable (zip3) 'ComponentAdapt' cover that contains the precision adjustment pads. Beneath this is the main mattress body which appears to be a non-adjustable unit containing springs. With this construction the mattress can be rotated but not flipped.
Our mattress shipped with two full length precision pads. We chose Medium when we ordered the mattress, but it also came with a 'Firmness Adjustment' offer for 100 days which has allowed us to get smaller precision pads to vary the firmness of the mattress for hips and shoulders on each side. The smaller precision pads for our King size mattress seem to come in either a 1/5 or 1/10 size pad. The 1/5 size pads are currently (Aug24) available in either Soft, Medium, Firm or Extra Firm and the 1/10 size pads in either Medium or Firm. Sleeping Duck encourage you to try each arrangement for 3 weeks which we did. I then spoke to someone at Sleeping Duck who helped me work out how we could adjust the mattress to get a little more support under the hips and a little less under the shoulders. They sent me the precision pads which were easy to install and gave my wife and I our own customised fits. They have since supplied us with a couple of extra pads to fine tune this even further. All at no cost to us. Amazing.
Is it comfortable - for me, yes. I have back and neck issues and rarely sleep through the night and the quality and duration of sleep I get is far better. We recently stayed at a fancy resort with plush beds and I found myself wishing for my Sleeping Duck! I love that I have been able to add extra support under my hips but also to give more softness under my shoulder while still supporting my head. It is far better and cheaper than our previous super expensive Tempur which was too soft in summer and too hard in winter. It is also far better and cheaper than our previous MySide which was awful, collapsed and was not supported by the company who sold it.
So dealing with the company from ordering through to support has all been amazing. So far the mattress which seems really well made has just been getting better and better. It's hard to say how the components will be after 5-6 years but what I do know is that the cover will have been washed and cleaned unlike our old MySide mattress and we can replace individual components inside the mattress (unlike wither mattress) if required. This gives me a very confident feeling that this is the mattress style of the future.
There is a leap of faith, ordering a mattress online without the ability to go to a showroom and try it. Sleeping Duck can't solve that completely but I have been super impressed by the commitment they have shown to making sure the mattress suits us. Thank you Sleeping Duck.

I love this mattress because it allows me to wake without stiffness and pain. I love this mattress because I sleep for a full night instead of 4 to 5 hours. I love this mattress because prior to this, I had a mattress and a topper which made the bed too high and too heavy when changing the bedding. I love This mattress because I have a full array of fitted sheets that I can now buy because the height is 30cm instead of 50cm. There's only one thing I don't love about this mattress ... My partner says that it's too comfortable.. goes to bed too early and sleeps in way to late into the morning.

Another consultant told me sleeping pregerances change, that its not the mattress. Strange as its meant to be an adjustable mattress. In regard to heat she asked me do I sweet in bed. I said no. She didn't say the mattress is hot or it's a common complaint. Asking me if I sweet in bed made me think the reviews I read were the people not the mattress. I purchased the mattress and without fail I wakeup between 2am and 3am because of the heat this mattress gives off. This is cold Melbourne in July! After trying the mattress for over 40days its not for us. You call them they tell you to take the mattress proctector off because it retains heat. We never had one on the bed. Go into a mattress shop and no one else selling a mattress tells you this. The mattress sleeps hot. We were told to try it as a firm. This tells me its not an adjustable mattress. The soft and medium sleeps hot but if you sleep on the firm it might be ok? Might as well just buy a standard mattress. I'm 55 years old and have never used a boxed mattress before and never will again. Ive never experienced a mattress that produces and retains heat like this does. We have returned the mattress and are awaiting refund.

compared to my old matress now. It amazes me how stable the surface is with no movement to anywhere else on the matress that you're not applying force to. Two people can definitely move without disturbing each other. I'm pretty sold on the matress now though I wish it wasn't so incredibly heavy, fine if you don't need to lift it or move it. it could be too hard, but no issues after a week. We now both love the firm mattress. We were initally concerned about assemblying ourselves, but no issue at all as long as there are 2 of u. The bed frame is incredibly solid and strong. We are awaiting the auto sheet refresh module, which was not available at the time of ordering. Given the weight of the mattress, we consider this is essential to make it easy to change sheets. We highly recommend the bed & mattress at what we consider to be a reasonable price.
