mattress and within 6 months one started to come apart. Sleeping Duck replaced this cover but the replacement and the other spare have come apart now also, I have just purchased another cover. I think its expensive for what it is. My daughter wets and soils the bed. She takes off the sheets and covers and so I have to wash the Breathe tech much more frequently then it was probably designed for. It pills and she picks at the pills creating holes in the cover. It would be wonderful if they could design a more robust cover for the bed as everything else about it is absolutely perfect.

This is rarely mentioned (back, neck and hip pain prevail in reviews), but it is a certain benefit. In addition, this company is 'ducking' unbelievable. My family chose the wrong size as my xmas present and, despite my use of it, SD told me 'no, you are not difficult at all!' and, within a couple of days, had the new double delivered. A few days after, the soft layer insert (for which I still qualified under my 100 night trial). I don't encourage anyone to do what I did as I'm sure it cost the company. But they wouldn't rest until I was completely satisfied. Well. I have NEVER been so satisfied with service or a product. I'll be a duck for life. x

mattress has no quilted upper topper like all the others so the surface is very smooth and flat and sheets fit beautifully with no puckering and creasing, so there is no lumpy look and feel when you slide between the sheets. When you first lower yourself onto this mattress you will immediately feel the soothing sinking sensation that the upper topper provides, and you may think that your new mattress is too soft, but that is not the case; you will be surprised at the wonderful level of support and comfort you get when you stretch right out into a sleeping position. Being a side sleeper this mattress has immediate and noticeable benefits for me, and pressure relieving characteristics which become apparent the longer you use it. It took me a while to get used to the feel of this as it is very different to ANY other mattress I have ever owned, and in my opinion is far superior. You can sleep quite comfortably right up to the edge of this mattress with absolutely no loss of support and no disturbance for your partner. This is a very deep mattress and even though some reviewers have described it as very heavy and difficult to make, I find it NO different in that respect to any other. It has strong sturdy handles on it as well and I actually unpacked and installed this mattress on my own. Standard fitted sheets are fine with this product, but my advice is to go for sheets that have a deeper skirt- they are readily available. This is also a one sided mattress so all you need to do is rotate it once every three months as per instructions and this is where those very good handles come into play. When you consider just how much some people are willing to pay for a mattress these days ( often the price of a small car !) you begin to wonder just how justified the cost is when you can receive such good quality at such an affordable price from Sleeping Duck. And you don't need a degree in physics to understand sleep technology either. I still have my old mattress and even though it is a very good brand - you know, the one that ends in PEDIC, this product simply blows it out of the water! So I can say quite confidently, that after sleeping on this mattress for two months now, it has got to be one of the best purchases I have ever made, which of course makes me sleep better!

better sleep every time I slept on any other mattress. I also found the heavy weight of the mattress very awkward when trying to tuck in sheets or move the mattress anywhere. The depth of the mattress made my bed a bit too high. I decided after much deliberation to return the mattress and found Sleeping Duck to be excellent to deal with in facilitating the return and also along the way while I was trying out the mattress.

Very disappointed with mattress and the long delay in refund – The 'Full Refund' takes a month (or more, but they will not tell me this will be when despite asking several times politely). Poor evasive communication about the long delays in collecting the mattress and refund linked to them collecting the mattress. and COVID. They are not being accountable here and sending their own trucks. Interestingly they were very quick to deliver and take our money in COVID times as this was in their interest. This was a poor quality mattress especially for the price. Very disappointed, hot, foamy and oversized mattress with a slight but unpleasant chemical smell. Worst Experience with Sleeping Duck – I was initially told that my order will arrive within 10 days, however after 10 days of wait, sleeping duck called me to tell that it could take another 3-6 weeks to arrive with very messy/sloopy answer. She couldn't even confirm what tracking order was against my dispatched order. Eventually, I've to cancel my order. Let's see how long it takes to get it reimburshed. Still the best mattress for us – Had a double and a Queen SD bed and when I had to sleep solo due to a medical condition we bought a sofa bed for a multi use spare room. That lasted 6 months and I gave up and bought another double SD for myself. A great decision for my sleep quality and pain reduction overall. Love having spare top covers when they need a wash. Made a world of difference – With my previous mattress, I used to wake up after I'd been in bed for 5 hours and have to get out because of the pain (likely fibromyalgia). Can’t make the bed… its Too heavy to lift the corners! – This mattress is awesome. Best ever! BUT, it is SO HEAVY, that I cannot lift the corners to make the bed every morning !!! Read that again… it is too heavy for me to be able to lift the corners in order to MAKE MY BED!!?! Maybe if the corners had handles like the sides, I could lift with those? The process of delivery, installation and removal of old mattress was extremely easy, the process took 5 minutes and we were kept fully informed of time of pick up and delivery.
