We have replaced all 3 of our mattress since 2020 because these mattresses are so good. They are most comfortable mattress ive ever slept on! Love that you can take the top off & wash it too. Show reply

ask a friend. The quality of the product was really good. There was no smell, and materials and workmanship were of high standards. As it was, while not being far off, it was not quite right for me. I seem to do better with non-pocket sprung products, being lighter and curvier. But that's ok, because the peace of mind that came with the money back guarantee was just wonderful. Response times and quality of responses from Sleeping Duck were outstanding too. The only mini-glitch I had was that their chosen charity that was meant to collect were unable to offer me a collection time frame that suited me, but Sleeping Duck immediately got back to me to sort this out, and a different, local charity was made beneficiary instead. I even got to follow "my" mattress's path and saw what a difference it made in someone's life. Sleeping Duck seemed to have the best reviews and with the amazing 90 day firmness adjustment or return we thought we had little to lose. It was a little bit more expensive than some of the other similar mattresses but still half of the price of the standard spring mattress. From the first night there was no more pain! It was amazing. It was comfy and didn’t take the usual month to get used to it as previously had happened with mattresses. The whole process and communication with the company was seamless and faultless. Recently we decided we might be better with a slightly firmer mattress and with one email they are sending out the firmer ones. The idea you can replace each part of the unit if necessary in the future is great even if after the 90 days you need to pay for them. Its ideal if we suddenly develop a problem that requires different firmness levels in different parts of the body. No other mattress company offers such customisation. The fact that it was designed by Australians is another big factor. It would be great if it could be manufactured in Australia as well although I know that obviously would add to the cost which we would probably would have been prepared to pay. Cannot recommend this mattress and company more!

Being in the older age group we have recurring back issues. Have had various beds over the years but thought we would give Sleeping Duck bed/mattress a try. We were pleasantly surprised from day one. Sleeping Duck have been helpful and keep checking on our progress. We will stick with the firm mattress as it seems to alleviate our back pain. Would recommend purchasing both base and mattress rather than fitting mattress on existing base. Unable to comment on durability as it is still very new. Hopefully will last a while! Mattress is a little heavy so changing sheets could be a problem but I believe there are devices to assist with this.

Sleeping Duck offered a painless "firmness adjustment" process, which enabled us to set up our new mattress (originally a default Medium firmness) with the softer support that we were after. This mattress is way too comfortable, the very best way to transition back from our waterbed. And support from the Sleeping Duck service people has been stellar.

We love our sleeping duck bed, Medium was a little too firm for us (personal preference) so swapped out to softer inserts which was as easy as an email and the next day they were at my doorstep (I live in rural NSW which was surprising. ) delivery, service and the bed itself is perfect. love the washable covers. poor sense of smell and was unable to be in the same room as it for weeks. Volatile organic compounds? I guess that's what they are. So if you have a sense of smell, don't bank on sleeping on this mattress soon after you buy it.

The second problem is that the mattress is really heavy. Our bed has ends so it's difficult to lift one corner when making the bed. Often we just push the sheets under rather than lifting. We've never taken on the idea of rotating this mattress as we did with others.

My partner claims that the mattress sags in the middle and I made props to support the centre even though I don't think it's actually sagging.

usual spring base I’m used to and I just couldn’t get comfortable as I felt like I wasn’t supported enough (too firm under my body and not enough give). The customer service though was nothing short of outstanding and I felt they took care of me as they offered free interchangeable foam inserts that arrived so quickly. It’s a great bed if your partner has different preference for firmness as it can be adapted to each individual with the inserts. I ended up returning it within the 100 days guarantee but they were so lovely and understanding I felt taken care of the whole time. They arranged the pick up and took care of everything their end. This is a great company and I still recommend people give their mattress a go as it is high quality, it just wasn’t the right one for me. I need a larger spring base on my mattress.

Was great for about 4 months – Have had the mattress for 18 months now and just went and brought a new mattress today as i can no longer deal with the horrible back pain from this mattress. It was great for 4 months then the sagging started happening. My spine in not inline when laying down and as i right this review my hips are sunken. We had an old hybrid mattress that served us well, however my back was starting to hurt when I woke up in the morning. We purchased a sleeping duck several months ago and the back pain has gone and I feel I am sleeping better. We purchased the pillows as well, they took a little while to get used to as I was used to softer ones, but now I am really enjoying the support they offer. This mattress could not be more comfortable. It's so supportive, particularly for my back which has shown great improvement. Amazing – Was interested in the tailored mattress firmness as my husband likes a firm mattress and I'm a medium. My side was perfect! His... well he decided he prefers medium too. was just a one night fluke but he's been on it for a couple of months now and wouldn't change it for the world. It's not as soft as our previous mattress but pain free wins over soft any time! I feel supported and rested and can lay on my stomach without causing any lower back pain which I was not able to do on the old mattress. Highly recommend those trying to decide to give it a go!
