I have found it to be the most useless piece of equipment I have ever come across.. It is sitting in the corner of the room & I have not been near it in the last 4 months I may have used it if you included the software that came with the trial, (it is pathetic that with the amount of money it costs that it doesn't), for that alone, I would have been returning it if it was my money that had paid for it & not NDIS.. Show details

account—an issue caused by severe financial and emotional hardship stemming from domestic violence—John spoke to me with complete disrespect and insensitivity. While I was explaining my situation, including my recent redundancy, the need to take domestic violence leave, and ongoing relocation for my safety and that of my 2-year-old child, John interrupted and said: “Keep playing the victim, Cassandra.”

I cannot overstate how shocking and offensive this comment was. I had simply asked to be spoken to in a professional and calm tone, as the aggressive nature of the conversation was triggering my PTSD. His response was: “I won’t be taking advice from you.”

I made every effort to de-escalate and keep the conversation focused on resolving the matter, including my request to have a single bag of sentimental belongings—items from my late grandmother—returned to me before any goods are sold. This had previously been discussed with Preeti, who was understanding and advised it would not be an issue. However, John has since refused to allow the return of that bag.

I am devastated by this experience. Not only was I spoken to in a way that was dismissive and aggressive, but I was also ridiculed for being a survivor of domestic violence—something no customer, no woman, and no mother should ever have to endure, even up until 7 weeks ago, after relocating for the 3rd time.

I respectfully request an immediate investigation into this incident and a written apology for the deeply inappropriate and offensive remarks made to me. Furthermore, I am again asking that the sentimental items belonging to my late grandmother be returned prior to any sale of goods.

The worst experience we have ever had with a removalist company! – We were not notified it would be outsourced to another removalist company “We Move Group”. They arrived 25 mins late and with 1 person less than what was prepaid for. time and took 15 mins to drive to the building next door. We received an email from SmartBox notifying us that an additional hour would be debited from our account due to the job taking 3 people 4 hours. I advised that there was in fact only 2 people (provided photo evidence of this) and that they had arrived 25 mins late (also shown in the photo evidence) and they were constantly taking breaks. We were told by SmartBox that the removalists do not smoke and that ‘someone was obviously lying’ which implied that it was us. We requested that the overpayment be refunded on the basis that only 2 people showed up and that it took 3 hours not 4 hours which we have not received a response or refund to date.

We cannot fault the removalists for taking care of all our furniture but the customer service experience from SmartBox has been disappointing!

They also tried to work on some other solutions to help me out but they went out of their way to help * On delivering the smartbox to my new address I have a very steep driveway. John tried to get down but it ended up touching the bottom of it. Most people would have just said tough luck and park it on the street but John tried a few different things to help like putting timber under the wheels but unfortunately I didnt have any. * They ended up parking outside the house but it was going to be difficult for me to offload the contents with the steep driveway so I asked if they had a trolley. They didnt have on them but John said he was going to another location nearby (it wasnt that close) so not that long after the same day they came by, out of their way, to drop it off. * I then couldnt get the ramp out due to where it was parked and they came back after a minute of leaving to help me out. * They didnt charge for the extra few days that I had the smartbox. * Their warehouse has good access and it was easy to get my stuff out when I went there.

Honestly cant think of a better experience and would highly recommend them.

They delivered a really decent size (about 11 cubic metres) storage box on a trailer direct to our home, left the container with us for a couple of days to load all our boxes and things, then - early one morning - hitched up their vehicle and took it all away to secure storage. Lovely. One thing we really liked about the Smartbox packing was that, once we had all the cardboard boxes and items of furniture loaded, we could then squeeze other bags and bits and bobs in.

Charles and James - on the Smartbox service end - provided really smooth service with information, administration, and payment things. Fred, the Smartbox delivery guy on the ground, was simply a star. Jockied the Smartbox trailer into a perfect position in front of our garage, showed us around the best way to load up, and, mate, you should have seen the way he backed that massive trailer up a 25 metre driveway as he took the load away! You don't see that style of professional driving too often.

With an excellent product and similar service contained within a reasonable pricing structure, I would recommend this company.

Smartbox have been great to deal with – Smart box were great to deal with. They packed up our house into two containers. They are easy to deal with and access is really easy. Just call them up and they get the container for you.

Extremely rude – I tried to book a smartbox albeit on short notice, was told one was available however when I said I could call back in 10 minutes to book to get my credit card etc, I was told to go elsewhere rudely which is just as well.

Perfect Service – Great work done by John and his team. They moved my furniture from storage to my home within the promised timeframe. Very professional staff and hardworking. Fantastic service! – Super convenient and friendly service. Great communication from the booking/operations teams. Drivers always called ahead and arrived within the expected time window. So impressed with everything from start to finish.

Easier way to move – The contact was friendly & helpful. What is necessary, as the contents of box will be going to the Blue Mountains, is a direct link between you & your parent company, Grace Removals, for your staff to be able to provide an quote, even an estimate, as to the cost to take it there. I can't say more, as I've not needed to access the box, since it was taken to your storage facilities.

Moving with smartbox is easier than expected and can be ordered within a day – Although the process of ordering smartbox can be a bit long , the process was very simple and easy. Jessica especially was really helpful with the orders and she was very patient and helpful, even with things I dont understand. Smartbox made our move so easy! – Fantastic service. The storage unit came directly to us, we packed it up and off it went. No need to load up a truck then unload into a storage unit. A real time saver! We also added the 'Wait and Assist' service and the removals team were fantastic.
