contacted the maintenance team. Although it's build six years ago in 2012, they sent someone to inspect it and send me a report that “The slab has no structural issues. It was cut out to pick up the reducer from a 100mm pipe to 50-60mm pipe which is in the wall. The plumber filled it with sand instead of concrete. This has been fixed. Photos supplied. ” so the issues were fixed in two weeks. I was grateful to find nice and responsible builder like Snowdon development as I knew some builders were not.

extremely fussy and I believe in quality and it's something I don't compromise with. There will always be a few hiccups along the way but the most important thing is how these are managed by the builder, Snowdon stood out for me. There customer service has been very good. throughout the build and Snowdon have a great Team that are in sync with each other in their respective departments. There were a few inclusions requested throughout the build but were necessary add ons. Overall a very efficient, smooth and communicative team at Snowdon and we are very happy with both our properties.

Terrible service and not paying legitimate liquidation damages, Chasing them from last few months! – I am waiting for my liquidation damages to be paid by the builder from last few months, I am trying to reach them for few months now, there is no responses. When i called the reception person tell me that you can get an call back and the person is busy or not in office or in meeting but i never get call back. happy with the plans. In March 2021 these plans were approved by Hamilton's drafting team, we signed contracts and paid our deposits, so far so good. 5 months later in August 2021 we settled on our land and had a small Mortgage.

Almost immediately after becoming landowners we were contacted by Snowden Developments to inform us that they could not build our agreed upon plans and offered us the basic design instead. I've attempted to get answers as to how this was allowed to happen and our Pre-Site customer care contact has for the past 6 months successfully managed to deflect all questions regarding which company is being held accountable. Snowden will blame Hamilton, and Hamilton blames Snowden. And the whole while they have your money. There's absolutely no transparency, they have been unable to specify why the plans could not be completed and when I asked for an engineering report explaining it I was told everything in their office is word of mouth.

No-one at these companies care about you or your home. It's been over a year since we paid our deposits and we still haven't seen what plan's we'll be getting. Stay away from Snowden and Hamilton.

Run away from Hamilton Property and Snowdon Developments – We bought the title land last year 16 August 2021 and took another 5 months took the working drawings completion. Color selection done last by last year November and haven’t building permit yet. We are thinking to break the contract however there is no point to stick with these idiots. Show details

advices me of 60days extension with no date of handover. Currently waiting for kitchen cabinets which will bring us to fixing stage. Vendor does not want to work for them which is possibly due to pending accounts. Scheduled kitchen cabinet was cancelled for the same reason. Has anyone gone to Legal about their issues with this builder?

Long delays and no transparency – We are building with Snowdon. Property was meant to be finished by 21st September 2021. It's now 21st March 2022. No transparency. fit-offs and cauking but highly suspicious for this to take 6 months. Even with COVID issues. I suspect it's more monetary related / not paying workers.

Dropped me with an extremely long 35 day extension letter over Christmas which I've also found out via research is total rubbish as well. Especially since other builders were still progressing.

For others that are experiencing issues with Snowdon I suggest raising a case with https://www.dbdrv.vic.gov.au/ as early as possible as you're no doubt going to have ongoing issues for years to come. Also raise one with VBA: https://www.vba.vic.gov.au/.

Building supervisor has quit the company and given another builder. What a joke this company is. Houses everywhere has been completed around my block from other builders and mine is still empty- no work has been done whatsoever for over a year something now. They keep on sending extensions of delay.. this is so stressful.. while we are struggling paying rent and mortgage . No knowing when exactly they will start building our house .. Terrible – Terrible. 2 toilets siliconed cistern to base, both leaking from inside from the start. They need to be smashed up to be taken out because Snowdon plumber siliconed. building process started in Jan 2021 for a 14Sq home - In first stage (Slab Stage) of construction There was a 30 day delay initially to complete the slab due to sourcing issues of the waffle pods - In Second stage (Frame Stage) of construction there was a 3 month delay in sourcing Timber (Due to Covid) while all surrounding houses kept progressing in the build - The third stage (Fixing Stage) was again delayed by 2 weeks as Snowdon was waiting for the contractor which does plastering works - The Fourth Stage is now delayed due to issues with sourcing plumbing fit offs, issues with the contractor who lays drive way and resignation of my site supervisor. The Project manager had committed to deliver the house by end of January and today when I followed up, this indication has shifted to end of February.

Therefore,

1) Do not engage Snowdon for your build as they are very unprofessional 2) Their customer support team is crappy and has no influence on the project activities 3) They will promise you and not deliver 4) Please save your money and time and look for another builder.

will include all the substandard items so they will try to sell you their luxury packs which will have the latest equipment just to make further profit from you which is understandable. I selected one of the luxury packs which had a bigger stove, tiles instead of carpet and so on but the problem is that you will have to pay for the standard item as well as the luxury item and this is where they will get you. So basically the cost for the standard stove is not waived off since your going for a luxury item.

Comes along with too many variations, they will keep making the changes which will be costly for you.

The case is now handed over to Snowdon Development. This company will break your back but will not start the construction. I signed my contract in March 2020 and now we are in Nov 2021. They will take their time in obtaining the building permit which can be achieved within 4 - 12 weeks max.

Once the building permit is issued, the construction should commence after 21 days as per the contract but it still doesn't start. I believe there are more challenges to come for me so please I beg the readers to not be mistaken by these people. Don't do it!! Again don't do it!!!

The worst Builder – We bough one of their display homes, assuming it would be good, biggest mistake In 2 years the roof started leaking, when i contacted them for repair, they wiped their hands off. I provided them is certified roof plumber certificate clearly stating the roof build was bad. they did not even bother to reply back to my emails. Show details

Worst experience – We have moved into our home in 2017, the paintwork has lots of marks, Flies stuck under the paint looks like bubbles, when I last wrote a review, they came applied undercoat then never returned. DONT DO IT! – As a first time builder it should have been an exciting time but was an absolute nightmare, 14 months to build, supervisor was hopeless, planning was worse, contractors not paid on time and defects were endless. To top it off we have been living here for a week with no heating/cooling.. shop elsewhere! There’s nothing positive about Snowdon – Horrible company. Started a build with them, they had several supervisors involved throughout the build. Everyone kept leaving. So that should set alarm bells off. Inspections on the house were denied at every stage. Final inspection came along. The brand new house was a disgrace. How any company can leave a house they just built in that state is shocking. I work in construction. Floors off level, didn’t even need a level to feel it. Concrete splattered on the retaining wall. Render patched in. Holes randomly drilled in walls. Down pipes not fixed to walls. Damp proof too close to the drive way, house will have a rising damp issue in a couple of years. Will snowdon come back to lower the footpath across 7 townhouses? Doubt it. Not enough expansion joints in the carports, given the Melbourne weather, exterior ceiling will crack within a couple of seasons. Whatever about minimal communication or if you think someone had poor manners over the phone. A lot of these issues, frankly aren’t up to building code. Don’t buy off them.

Worst maintenance – This builder has left an open concrete space in front of our house due to their faulty drainage system. Has been following up for more than a year now but they dont bother to attend to it.Mentioned too many times that its causing a hazzard already to my small kids. My experience from this builder has nothing but unpleasant since day one. I do not recommend getting them as your builder.  Show details

anything. Being my 3rd build in 10 years (3 different builders) they were systematic. For a high-volume builder, I was cautious and ready to micromanage but there was no need to. Marco was on top of everything and every trade. Every time I drove past there was always some trade working on the job, which is what you want to see. It is very rare that someone will say they will build with their builder again, but I would definitely recommend and myself will use Snowdon again. Oh and reasonable with costs… Didn’t have those ridiculous variations where they added hundreds on an extra downlight or powerpoint as I noticed other builders do when I was getting quotes.
