We have used them twice, back in 2024 and recently this year. 2024 was a great experience but this year was subpar - had a few cars to be done although the tints looks pretty good, the booking experience was a nightmare, just wished it was a smoother experience, still willing to give these guys a go again though. Show details

Great Tint for our West Facing windows – Fast, efficient installation. Thom from Hornsby was lovely and the installation perfect. they gave us a range of window tint and shades to choose from to suit our budget.

The job was done within the hour and half which was well under the 2 hours our car was initially booked in for.

They offer an excellent product range and the job was done to perfection.

We also discovered they did house window tinting whist we were there, will definitely be back in contact to have our windows tinted and our bathroom showerscreen frosted.

don't bother with ceramic paint protection – I got talked into a 'special' offer including ceramic paint protection when I get my car tinted. I payed $750 for the tinting of 5 windows and the so called ceramic coat. absolute dull no ceramic protection at all. The whole process of tinting and paint 'protection' was done in three hours... Solar tint might be Ok with tinting stuff but please don't get talked into new car 'ceramic' paint protection. Because of rip off, only one star.

Seriously, don't bother! – I bought a brand new mazda which was tinted at the dealership by Solartint. The tint started to bubble and vision was impaired, especially on damp days. I eventually got them to replace it (lifetime warranty! ) afafter proving who I was and the car actually belonged to me. They then begrudgingly took my car in. and blue grey tint on all other windows. It looks totally different and they basically told me that I should be grateful. This will not end here. Their customer service is an absolute joke.

Subsequently, tried to obtain a tax receipt for the job but was told by the representative that he had no record of the job. It also became apparent (after the job) that the de-mister had been damaged during the repair. Didn't try to follow up on this damage given lack of recognition of the job in the first place.

Terrible Customer Service – Absolutely shocking, terrible service. Despite asking several times, [name removed] the manager didn't explain me the process properly. Rude, discourteous, and non professional.

looked real good untill the next day when we noticed dirty finger prints inside the roof lining,

I immediately phoned [name removed] to let her know, her reply was we didn't do it and we have a video of the whole job, well anyone can edit a tape and cut out things you don't want the customer to see, anyway we returned first thing Monday morning, the manager [name removed] without seeing the finger prints denied it happened there and cursed me with threats etc. this person has no customer skills at all, he made a big scene over nothing and refused to except responsibility, he demanded we leave the premises, we went to a local detailer who simply wiped the dirty finger prints with a clean rag which took all of 30 seconds and charged us nothing, we will never recommend solar tint Nowra to anyone, the job was good but the after service was nothing but abuse towards us, stay clear of SOLARTINT NOWRA.

Very Happy – Solartint Nowra, Jason, Lenny and Katrina are very professional, friendly and workmanship high standard. We are very happy, highly recommended.

Customer Service????? – Thank you to Troy from Blacktown Solartinting, after experiencing poor customer service from another supplier, Troy has restored our confidence in the product and has taught us that not all providers are equal and that one may need to look out of their area if they want a positive experience. Unorganised – I understand they were running behind and busy at Airport West but when we finally got the car home a part was not replaced back near the window and a scratch on the tint, i forgave them after the next day it was all rectified once i had visited them again. Just annoyed when the next week i took the second car which i mentioned twice would be tinted and they overbooked so could not tint it. Fab

Excellent workmanship and $$ – Great customer service, product and pricing at Solartint Blacktown. Installation took about 90mins, quality of workmanship was excellent. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

More than happy – Nowra solar tint did a great price, quick service with a loan car (so rare nowadays!) Super happy! We got windows tinted, paint & leather/suede protection.

Charcool look! – Happy with the service, price and installation would recommend people to have their cars tinted. The team at Sydney city tinting were professional and asked all the right questions, my car has the antenna built in the rear window and made sure I selected the correct tinting not to interfere with the radio reception.

Disappointing & Bad customer service – Had to chase them (Penrith Branch) initially to book in the job. When they came to do the job (commercial) they cracked our front door, then tinted over it and claimed it was already broken (why would you tint over broken glass!). They left without mentioning it to anyone and denied breaking the glass. Is now being evasive and having difficulty in resolving the problem. Not recommended.

Solar Tint Airport West branch – Great customer service and experience from the guys at Airport West. Called up and explained to them it might be a bit difficult to get in during the week, so they gave me a booking on a Saturday. I thought since it was tint, paint protection and leather protection I might not have a car for the weekend. All the work was done within a day and haven't had any issues since. Good service at a great price too

Great service at a great price – After getting a quote from a dealer, can say im glad I went to these guys! For nearly half the price quoted by the dealer, they did the job & car came out great. Funny thing was some of the dealers cars were in the workshop too!

Great job guys! – Had an great experience today, everyone else was closed and the boys managed to fit me in at 4:30pm. The job was done in a couple of hours and was floor less. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to tint there Windows.

Warranty not worth the paper its printed on – Purchased car window tint in Nov 2008, with a lifetime warranty. Well, the back window tint began bubbling, so I took it back to the installer. whole page of terms and conditions that stipulate that this doesn't include the cost of labour. Whilst this doesn't effect me as my warranty is what was advertised on the day of purchase, it does however cause me trouble because this is what the installer is relying upon. Unfortunately another claim with the Dept. of Fair Trading! I have already spoken to them, and it seems to be another open/close case in my favour. Just a huge waste of my time chasing up!

People: Solar tint's lifetime warranty doesn't include labour. Labour makes up 90% of the cost. I have learnt today that their opposition advertise a lifetime warranty that includes labour. Cost is comparative.

The first day I noticed some bubbling under the tint. Was quite upset and was going to take it back. It was a very hot day. Next morning, the bubbles had magically disappeared. Then I remembered one of the staff telling me it will take 48 hours for the tint to dry. So if you see bubbles in your tint, wait couple of days if it is warm outside. The result was perfect.

5 star service – Very professional. These guys are fantastic and very helpful. I spoke to Darryl about a small scratch in my tinted car window and without any hesitation Darryl tore it down and put up a new one in no time.

better companies out there – What's the point of a warranty if it's useless went with these guys for their name and website info seemed legit for quality service. I wait 30 mins no call back, i call him back, repeatedly, no answer. I wait another 30 mins, no call back. I leave and go to a nearby café to wait for the call back, 2 hrs go by no call back, obviously at this time i've gone home, mind you i wasn't in my own suburb i was 25 mins away. Waste of a whole morning.

All i can say is un professional.

These types of people should not be in business, its clearly run by a bunch of children. They wont be touching my car.

questioned the Manager he was quite rude and said ''oh whatever it is it wouldn't take much to come off". He got the marks off with a rag, not happy at all, and no apology. Quite rude actually. Even though his wife said ''oh it was probably from the extension cord reaching over".Then 1 week later I noticed the door strip damaged. Accidently?? But no one admitting it. The reply I receive is Prolonged damaged! And apparently is common in my type of car. The strip was NOT like it when car went it, and that sort of damage doesn't just happen over night. I wash my car regularly so am aware of dents, scratches etc. I was offered by their staff to get CCTV sent to me, now I am told I have to make an appointment to view it! They also want my mechanic and panel beaters contact details where I took my car to get a second opinion, which they certainly have no right to ask for and will not be dragged threw this. My emails bounce back and have to ring to see if one email did make it through. No problem with tint, has only been 2 weeks, but I am VERY disappointed with lack of service and trying to resolve this matter. Especially being told any problems or questions please contact us. I did contact them only to be fighting a loosing battle. Their word against mine. If no damage was done why isn't CCTV be forwarded onto me like I was told it would? I didn't pay $350 to be treated like this. It is just going no where and they are certainly not admitting any responsibility. I will not be recommending SOLARTINT Nowra to anyone. Go elsewhere. franchises. I'd suggest to car owners not going with a cheap tinter as they may use low quality tint which could bubble in a year or two. Pay a bit more and get the high quality stuff.
