Hi, I had a 48kw Sigenergy battery installed & extended my existing solar panels, I was dealing with Daniel from Solarmaxx & he made the whole experience enjoyable. the install was very fast & seamless from the time I signed up.

to remove my entire preexisting solar system, when all that was ordered was a battery and additional solar panels...... what is sad is that these guys are not the cheapest in the market,and I was paying $17k for a qaulity system to ensure it lasted and ready for eventual off grid operation.... Dont go near these guys if you value your time.
There installer was a sub and complaining about cost of the job. He was rude and left the job when he incorrectly assessed the existing panels cant be used with the new system (even though they are lower spec). He had no information to even make that assessment (and did not want it when I offered to get the data to crosscheck). Disgusted with the handling of that matter when I followed it up with there designer.
Now have the mission of getting legal aide to recover the hefty deposit they took when they were 'nice and responsive' before sign up.

Solarmaxx installed two 6.6kw systems in our property, consisting of two seperate units in Brisbane, QLD. The whole experience from start to finish was stellar and smooth. Basically took around half a day for the installation for both units. I would highly recommend Solarmaxx to everyone considering solar. We would also happily use the services of SolarMaxx again.

I must've started out with a few dud guys in my experience. Since day dot they were all happy and returning calls and sending whatsapp messages until they have your deposit and then the headache starts with arrogance, excuses etc from their side. December I was promised my system will be installed. However still I called easily about 60 times to [Name Removed] (his excuse is he is not part of that team), [Name Removed] whose phone is always off and you cant leave messages and she does not answer, [Name Removed] that has all the excuses under the sun and then finally after a hard push from me I got the install over the line...since install I have not enjoyed a system that works...I am basically back to no battery or solar power...then I get snarky comments that I have to wait for a month for the unit to be sorted...they are very argumentative and no idea of customer or after sales customer service...instead of listening, apologising and showing you by action that they are a good mob they show consistently that they are "bad fools)....I will avoid at all costs this company...they are bunch of scammers selling you second grade equipment, hoping that we will ignore it. So now I have called like in total 20 times again since Monday and excuses upon excuses...telling me it is a machine and all machines can break...well I have my machine parking in the garage and over 4 years my machine has not broken down because the mob that sold it to me knew that they are selling me a capable and reliable machine. I have repeatedly been told “this month” or “early next month,” but there has been no clear installation date provided. This level of service is unacceptable.
Other providers would have completed the installation by now. I regret my decision to go with Solar Maxx and would not recommend them based on my experience.

inverters... How can this happen. We then re-scheduled the install in another 2 months to 4th of March 2026, in writing agreed again with Solar Maxx for the 4th of March 2026 however on the week before the install I heard nothing again from the company. After myself following up again, I received an email at 6pm on the 3rd of March stating that Solarmaxx will not be onsite on the 4th of March for the install as had made a mix up yet again. I tried to call SolarMaxx, but once again no response. I have now tried to call 11 times, day after day the Australia Numbers but there is no answer from SolarMaxx. ..... SolarMaxx will not answer calls BEWARE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR DEPOSIT AND THEN IT LOOKS LIKE THEY DISAPPEAR..
Follow-up · Still no word at all from Solar Maxx. Have not responded and will not answer telephone. No refund has been offered at all. It has been 5 months now since SOLARMAXX took my money and we signed the contract. Terrible service, has now been reported again to the ACCC
They do no keep their promises. Cannot be trusted with the Company. Had given them referral and they promised to give us $150 which I am still waiting for. They do not come to your home and recommend the size of the battery. I paid too high +$5k for a 14kwh battery.
Follow-up · To date have not received a response from SolarMax. Once the installation was completed, we had no follow up which they had agreed to do so. Names of the company personnel are not truly correct. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone
it's completely fake company because i has booked battery july 2025 and still waiting for installing. booked battery with deposit guy name Sam ford. all the time he have lots of excuses and now he didn't answer my call. I'm very upset because I choose this Company.

Do NOT go by what the sales team promises. Tom suggested, promised and then confirmed an install date for a holiday let home, so I organise vacancy, booked flights and then when I chase it a few days before, he does not answer his phone and the company says he is not authorised to make installation dates and they keep saying they get back but will now not take my call. call me back, I have been left in the dark.
On April 8, 2026, I received an email stating that my meter board requires a full upgrade, which they claimed prevented them from installing my system in time to benefit from the government rebate. However, I had sent videos and photos of my premises in February, with no mention made of any upgrade requirement at that time.
My attempts to reach them throughout April were met with empty promises of callbacks regarding installation dates. It's disheartening to see SolarMaxx continue to advertise rebate prices on their website, encouraging others to sign up before May 1, 2026, knowing they cannot deliver.
In their latest email, they attributed their inability to install my system to significant industry-wide constraints and a shortage of installers. Their proposed resolution is to refund my deposit – however, this doesn’t address their failure to meet contractual obligations.
I’ve seen countless reviews echoing my situation, and I’m left wondering if a class-action legal claim against SolarMaxx is viable. I’ll be lodging a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading and pursuing legal action. This company and its director should not be in business. Proceed with caution!
We have been trying to get an install date for over 6 weeks, they do not answer phone calls do not respond to messages, do not respond to emails. They have the deposit now ignore you.

The salesperson Kelvin Jones is very patient to discuss my house situation and to work out a price quote for me. Although in the end I did not go ahead with the installation due to my house renovation and Kelvin is very helpful and professional to handle my refund. So I highly recommend to contact Kelvin to work out your house installation.

Don't be fooled by the initial communication being great. Unfortunately I'm another customer who has paid the deposit, was given an install date, and now cannot get anyone to answer the phone or respond to emails. They will of course then ask for more money after the rebate decreases but I'm guessing they are trying to lock in a pipeline of work for post-May; and are signing up enough customers that even if 50% cancel they still have a queue.
Disappointing practice, and sadly it's now too late to find another installer to do the job before the May deadline.
Companies that do not communicate promptly, and cannot commit to install dates, should not be NETCC-approved.

and said want to install the battery on this day, told them not home on that day, but free from this to this day. That person said would get back to me but did not. Again many calls no response, finally they sent email saying they cannot install the battery due to no installer and want to return the refund after almost 6 months. Same happened with my friend as well. What an hopeless , in efficient and ethicless company to deal with. Why sign up when cant do it. In due course I lost the gove rebate as it was too late to get some one install withinthe time frame.
Solarmax took my deposit then no correspondence and then number of call and emails to try get an installation date. Then on call someone at Solarmaxx said they are not doing installations in WA and lies after lies now trying to get my deposit back.
Time wasters I got my deposit back after emailing several requests but paid extra to get someone else to do it. Started Dec 3, 2025 Refund March 27 2026 Do your self a favour find someone else.
