"premium" installers were charging so much more. I went ahead with Solarmaxx and I can happily report that it has been a great experience. The installers were exceptional, work neat and tidy and the system has been operating without a hiccup. Pro tip, when you meet with an installer and they insist on coming to your home to discuss the quote in person then they have to bring our a calculator program or put a 5 page document in front of you showing you how you can pay it off over five/ten years, that's normally a tell that it's going to be overpriced. Solarmaxx installed two 6.6kw systems in our property, consisting of two seperate units in Brisbane, QLD. The whole experience from start to finish was stellar and smooth. Basically took around half a day for the installation for both units. I would highly recommend Solarmaxx to everyone considering solar. We would also happily use the services of SolarMaxx again.

December I was promised my system will be installed. However still I called easily about 60 times to [Name Removed] (his excuse is he is not part of that team), [Name Removed] whose phone is always off and you cant leave messages and she does not answer, [Name Removed] that has all the excuses under the sun and then finally after a hard push from me I got the install over the line...since install I have not enjoyed a system that works...I am basically back to no battery or solar power...then I get snarky comments that I have to wait for a month for the unit to be sorted...they are very argumentative and no idea of customer or after sales customer service...instead of listening, apologising and showing you by action that they are a good mob they show consistently that they are "bad fools)....I will avoid at all costs this company...they are bunch of scammers selling you second grade equipment, hoping that we will ignore it. So now I have called like in total 20 times again since Monday and excuses upon excuses...telling me it is a machine and all machines can break...well I have my machine parking in the garage and over 4 years my machine has not broken down because the mob that sold it to me knew that they are selling me a capable and reliable machine. STAY AWAY FRO. THIS MOB. I am waiting on another bad reviewer for the lawyer's number so I can take legal action against them and I will keep you updated.

finally showed up on a perfect day, then there installer reveals a job card that was instructing him to remove my entire preexisting solar system, when all that was ordered was a battery and additional solar panels...... what is sad is that these guys are not the cheapest in the market,and I was paying $17k for a qaulity system to ensure it lasted and ready for eventual off grid operation.... Dont go near these guys if you value your time.
There installer was a sub and complaining about cost of the job. He was rude and left the job when he incorrectly assessed the existing panels cant be used with the new system (even though they are lower spec). He had no information to even make that assessment (and did not want it when I offered to get the data to crosscheck). Disgusted with the handling of that matter when I followed it up with there designer.
Now have the mission of getting legal aide to recover the hefty deposit they took when they were 'nice and responsive' before sign up.
Follow-up · Update. Missed the battery rebate due to the debarcle. Company eventually gave back deposit (though tried to make me remove this review beforhand). They then attempted to try and upseĺl another offer ($27k) (way above original budget). I declined.... Mostly because dont need to be mucked about further and the cost is no longer ecomical.

Being initially concerned with dealing with an Eastern States company and having a solar install in WA (Perth), my experience was a pleasent surprise. The costs, communication and quality of pre-sale service by Rose was second-to-none. She followed up regularly, gave a competitive quote (signicantly cheaper than local companies here), and ensured all process and terms (insurances, installation requirements, etc) were on par with those "AAA" companies. The company who was contracted in WA to do my install was Passion Solar, and whilst the install didn't go to plan fully (poor weather, so a 2-day install) the quality was great and installation was clean and proper. A small issue with connectivity with the Smart Meter was brought to SolarMaxxs attention and immediately [Name Removed] assisted, discussed, monitored remotely, updated inverter firmware and followed up when rectified to ensure I understood how to read the output, ask my questions and be confident I understood. [Name Removed]'s attention to detail, along with Rose's great communication and pricing made me never feel rushed, and confident and happy that I chose SolarMaxx for my solar install in WA. If you're looking for solar in WA, don't exclude this company from your list of quotes. I feel like I may have taken a risk in contracting an out-of-state supplier, but I don't regret it for a minute! I'm now looking forward to my hopefully future battery install with SolarMaxx

We then re-scheduled the install in another 2 months to 4th of March 2026, in writing agreed again with Solar Maxx for the 4th of March 2026 however on the week before the install I heard nothing again from the company. After myself following up again, I received an email at 6pm on the 3rd of March stating that Solarmaxx will not be onsite on the 4th of March for the install as had made a mix up yet again. I tried to call SolarMaxx, but once again no response. I have now tried to call 11 times, day after day the Australia Numbers but there is no answer from SolarMaxx. ..... SolarMaxx will not answer calls BEWARE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR DEPOSIT AND THEN IT LOOKS LIKE THEY DISAPPEAR..
Follow-up · Still no word at all from Solar Maxx. Have not responded and will not answer telephone. No refund has been offered at all. It has been 5 months now since SOLARMAXX took my money and we signed the contract. Terrible service, has now been reported again to the ACCC

I have repeatedly asked for this to be escalated to the CEO, owner, or a senior decision-maker. My preferred outcome remains simple: I want SolarMaxx to honour the contract and install the system as agreed.
Would give zero stars if possible. Waited 6 months for installation despite contract stating 6-7 weeks. Booked and rescheduled so many times, took time off work to be there, only for installation to be cancelled last minute several times. Now after two months post installation - its not working at all. They are not accredited. They sign you a contract with so many good promises, and after 5 months they don't, and they can't deliver. Bunch of cowboys. I'm in touch and in contact with the Australian consumer protection department. I will let the consumer know if they remove my Google rating. Do not rely on them or enter into a contract with them.
