Our old faulty vented dryer refused to die (15 years old still working) and wanted something more energy efficient to dry wet loads. the price of this dryer was hard to walk past so I decided to try it out. Had it for over a year now. In its early day it was fairly quiet during use, but now it does make slight scraping sounds but not noisy at all just cheap sounding. Tested it with my energy meter plug it pulls around 800w which is half of the vented dryer on low heat pulls while also holding more washing. Averages around 1-1.5kwh per full standard load old dryer well over 2 kwh for less laundry.
It does a good job drying stuff and doesn't take much longer then the vented dryer to do it. But does it more gently. It removes a good amount of lint from the clothes and the clothes come out nice and soft, softer than old vented dryer.
My favourite cycle to use is the Mixed cycle seems to do the job. Bed linens is good too reverses more frequently. Haven't tried all the cycles but standard cottons always leaves the clothes damp need to use extra for them to be dryer and intense dry for the driest results. The sensor works well and I found I few tricks for dry cloths. Pants and other items with pockets sometimes didn't dry but turning inside out results in dry clothes. I always use dryer balls which hopefully helps moves the clothes around better for an even dry and improves softness.

8kg? more like 6kg. 7kg at best I have a 9 kg washing machine and I have to leave quite a bit out if it's very full load. I also have a Smaller true size 5kg front loader and a very full load just about fills the dryer perfectly. It does take the big load it just tangles and creases a lot more and sometimes doesn't completely dry as limited room to fluff up and less reversing. I would compare drum sizes to vented dryers 6 or 7 kg models. Would be nice if it was just a little bigger so I can fit an 8kg load in it.
Has a drum light but kind of useless as it only stays on for 30 seconds and no button to turn back on, old model I looked up had a light button.
Bedding especially sheets seems to trap the pillow cases resulting in wet items also does attempt to tangle and roll into a ball but I think my use of dryer balls reduces this. And the bedding cycle reserve more so use that mode for best results.
The heat exchanger coils are a nightmare to clean, wish it had another filter to clean as recently that area and the possible remaining moisture has started to smell. I try to air it all out regularly.
Finally it doesn't contain all the condensation during the program, I notice it condensates around the panel during use and also dripped on the floor couple of times from the coil cover in very cold conditions it does pretty much disappear by the end as the cabinet warms up though. I feel this might be a result of cheap seals used, hopefully doesn't cause early rusting which in this price range wouldn't surprise me.
Overall a great dryer for the money and would highly recommend if on a budget, but don't expect it to last forever though as you get what you pay for but it might prove to be reliable. It also identical or pretty much same internals to the Aldi, Kogan, Esatto, Sieki dryers I've looked at probably made in the same factory too. Personally I might try a slight better one in the future that would match the washing machine I choose to get if the times comes.

Do not buy – Horrible horrible mouldy smell. You have to make sure you get your items out as soon as it stops. Clean the filter after each use but it seriously smells like vermin have died in the filter. So upset as it works really well except for the horrible smell

Excellent heat pump dryer – This replaces the Kogan heat pump dryer that shorted out after 2 years and 10 months. We have had this a week and far superior to the Kogan dryer whom had to constantly re dry the clothes/towels. Just leave on standard setting switch on then start. Clothes/towels perfectly dry and much quicker. Very easy to clean out the lint and empty water. A big pat on the back to The Good Guys for next day delivery xmas eve and the drivers for assisting us. Definitely buy again! Highly recommend!

It is now 3/01/25 12 months on and the dryer is still working perfectly!
Don 2yr It is now 3/02/2026 25 months on and the dryer is still working perfectly! Hint: on cleaning condenser every two months. I use a wire brush the size of a toothbrush to clean off the lint. Best done after dryer load has finished whilst lint is damp it tends to come off in large sections.
BTW no smells whatsoever.
Love my new dryer! – Finally found a great heat pump dryer that wont cost you an arm and a leg. Its the same size as my washing machine so it fit great and looks kinda like the new towers they have now. With a 7 star energy rating and no signs of steam aftermath, the heat pump does a great job, I just empty out the water and lint tray after every dry and its good to go for the next round. It does a great job at drying heavy loads, as well as my waterproof bedding, super happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone buying on a budget. I paid the extra $55 delivery, but collection is free if you are able to transport it yourself. Its also now $588 with the black friday sale, what a bargin!
