Speedo Swimwear. Poor quality made in Bangladesh. Purchased by my son as a Fathers Day gift in September 2025. Have been used 3 times per week. Product has rotted and disintegrated. Don’t have the receipt to return to the retail store. Let’s face it… Read more
you might keep a receipt for a few weeks in case the product needs to be changed because of size or colour but who keeps a receipt for 6 months. Emailed the company asking for postal address so I could return them for inspection. Received a reply from True Alliance Business Solutions saying they could do nothing without a receipt and to go back to the retail outlet they were purchased from. Contacted them again explaining the situation and they sent the same reply again. Speedo in not Australian owned and typical of large corporations they do not have an Australian postal address or phone number only email so they avoid direct contact with the consumer.
Follow-up · 1: Rinsed in cold water after each use, hung out to dry under verander - not on the line. 2: Label says Polyamide 3: Not stored as I used them 3 or 4 times per week.
Speedo was once an Australian product and made here. Not any more. The product is now made in Asia and owned by an O/seas firm. The material used to fabricate these iconic swim trunks is of low quality and will not be fit for purpose. I had a locally made item that last for years. swims and then the drawstring cord around the waste became sticky and unable to work correctly and the leg section the sewing became stiff like plastic.Very poor material. Probably the material and elastic compounds used were made in China. Pretty much all Chinese polymer technology is junk.
Durable series swimsuit aren’t durable at alll. All my 3 Speedo swimsuits “died” within few mths of weekly usage. They all thinned out, see photos. The product was from durable labelled item- yet it's even worse than normal product. I bought a Speedo swimwear a couple of months ago and was extremely disappointed with the quality. The material started wearing out way too quickly, and it just doesn’t feel durable at all. old pair of Speedos and saw why i had bought a new pair. The stiching around the elastic at the top had disintegrated and they were coming apart. The standard of Speedo swimwear is junk. All i can say is "another great Australian company ruined in the last 10 years' and i won't be buying their crap again. Same with Bonds.

tearing. The soles are thin and light enough to be comfortable but solid enough to protect against being on concrete or gravel. I like the fit of these too as a lot of shoe shoes are a loose fit and kind of slop around. The grip on the soles is great on wet surfaces so whether it is walking on wet rocks by the lake or a wet parking lot there is no danger of slipping. The sole is also quite puncture resistant which makes them great for walking in murky water where exploring with bare feet isn't always a great idea due to discarded fish hooks, broken glass and so on.

I only wear bikinis in the water and Speedo has to be the best quality,has the best cuts and styles and the hottest colours.When it comes to mens bikinis Speedo is by far the most superior brand.They fit really nice and snug,are very enhancing(even if you do not need it) and are available in many styles and cuts.If you prefer narrow side seams like myself there are plenty of 5cm bikinis that will make any man or boy look really sexy Also,movement in Speedo's 5cm bikini is extreme as all that is covered is the only areas that need covering.Be prepared for compliments from everyone as wearing a Speedo bikini is obvious to all as they look so hot,especially when wet....afterall,that is what they are made for.So come on all you males out there young and old....get your body into one of Speedo's iconic bikinis where you will not only look hot,but you will feel even hotter!Forget about baggy shorts ,be bold and flaunt what you have.
Great brand – I like the speedo fabric and the fact that it's chlorine resistant so will not stretch and strat falling apart like the regular swimmers. My kids use them and they get handed down so with stand many washes etc The goggles are good too and do not fog up as much as some cheaper brands. Good quality

Brought 2 speedo swimwear’s 3 months ago, iv worn them regularly in the pools, washed them with cold water, no machine wash or dryer! Costly but Poor ocean swim goggles that leak in water – Ocean swim goggles from Speedo are really poor quality and leaks in water most times Despite adjusting straps and positioning of goggles on my face I spoke to lady at the Speedo and said she has similar problems and that’s why she doesn’t use the Speedo brand open swim goggles
Avoid Biofuse goggles if you have long eyelashes – I just purchased a pair of speedo Biofuse 2.0 goggles which of course you are unable to try on first so have to pay $45 just to try on then they say sorry, no exchange. be an issue when buying goggles. Yep, seems to be a common issue when you actually google it. There is nothing more uncomfortable than swimming and your eye lashes hit the goggle lenses. At least with sunglasses you can try them on. Now I have a $45 pair of goggles brand new in the box that I cant use and have to spend more $$$ just to try on and hope they fit. At least with swimwear you can try them on.

Not good enough – I’ve been waiting over a month for speedo to acknowledge the boardshorts I returned to them and give a refund. I’ve emailed and used the website to send messages but still haven’t been given a refund. Not good enough. Also the returns process was not working on the website which was frustrating and meant emailing speedo for help.

Elastane deteriorated in 6 months – Speedo Womens Dive Thinstrap Muscleback One Piece Swimsuit lasted 6 months only of once a week swimming pool. All elastane is deteriorated. Same happened with the previous Speedo swimming suit. They used to last years. Very bad quality nowadays.
Terrible Quality Swim Short – All I can say I have had two Speedo swim shorts ans both were of a terrible quality I bought the first one myself and learned my lesson to never buy another Speedo ever again and then my son bought me one as Christmas present. it started perishing. After contacting Speedo they requested photos and then that I send them the swimsuit for which they covered the postage. I did receive a refund promptly but no other contact such as an explanation or an apology. I notice also that the reviews on their website are no longer there. Whatever you do, do not purchase this swimsuit if you swim in chlorinated water as you won't have it for very long.

I used to be a swimmer all my younger years with countless hours in the pool and Speedo was THE brand, so reliable. Unfortunately it's like a cheap outsourced average run of the mill brand now, from quality, to experience, to customer support. All for which you pay a premium brand price.
Next purchase I'll be trying another brand - Arena, Funkita, TYR, even 2XU!

Speedo jammers should be marketed as disposable – We purchased two jammers for our boys for christmas Dec 2022. The boys used these once a week as part of their squads training - 1 hour in the pool. quite reluctant to purchase any more swimmer from speedo for our family if they are going to fall apart after a few wears. These should be sold as disposable swimmers.

General manager ignores customer complaints – Stay clear of Speedo - buy Engine, TYR or Arena. Speedo products are crap and their LZR racing suits start dying after 8 wears. The company also deny and ignore formal complaints after unethical sales practices of lying regarding sizes and availability of stock so you have to buy products double the price. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Don't get caught up like all these other reviewers.
Cant get hold of anyone and they dont get back to you – Don't buy on line from this outfit. They say you cant cancel an order. How abusive. Have filled in contact forms but hear no response.
