Sports Direct Online store

I really enjoyed shopping from the UK Sports Direct for the customer service and prices that they offered. Once they switched over to Australia I can't order anything from UK. The Australian store prices are so expensive and now reading these reviews it seems that the overall experience with them is quite negative. Sad as there is very little decently priced selection available in NZ.

was A HAIR on the item. One hair. So apparently was not in a resaleable condition. I contacted customer service to query this and ask for any evidence of the issue and they can’t send anything for this. I have queried why one hair would mean it cannot be resold, particularly as this could have fallen off the person inspecting the item. They claim their policy does not allow them to overturn a returns decision. So they have left me no way forward and I had to pay an extra £5 for nothing. Over a hair. Basically feels like a scam.

They have previously had an issue on the website where they put one of my orders through twice, charged me twice, and again would not help or refund my money. Do not shop with them online as they are greedy and will never give you a refund regardless of what has happened. Massive waste of time and money.

I was told they do not take online returns as they are 2 different companies? even though I had picked up another pair of suitable runners in store and was hoping to return the ones I bought online and get these instead. The staff could not process my request nor coukd they return the online product for me. I had to return the runners myself using the online portal and specific drop off site and pay the cost. As a side note, you can still order online, get 'click and collect' to your local store but they wont return these products either? I am so disgusted with the service. There should be a warning info box especially when you get to the online checkout part telling and reminding you that you cannot return items bought online to your local store. I will never be buying products with Sports Direct online or in store again. Such hassle both online and in store.

In the same order, I purchased several T-shirts. These were the same brand and style I had purchased from SportsDirect in the past. Previously, they had been durable and retained their shape. However, the new batch shrank and lost shape after one gentle wash, despite following care instructions.

I attempted to return the items, but the process was unclear and frustrating. SportsDirect sent me a return label, but no instructions were provided. I contacted both Australia Post and ParcelPoint, who confirmed that the label provided was invalid in Australia. I contacted SportsDirect several times for clarification. I continued to receive emails requesting more information, but no practical solution was ever provided.

The outcome is that I have been left out of pocket for undelivered and faulty goods, and unable to return the items due to a return process that does not work for Australian customers.

This experience has significantly impacted my trust in the company. I am submitting this complaint as I believe their handling of faulty goods, failed delivery, and returns is not compliant with Australian Consumer Law.

rate of domestic Aus postage and then the return label generated was to return the item to NSW in Australia. Also very slow to process returns. My advice is to avoid Sports Direct.

online which I think needs to be highlighted to costumers on the Australian website. I ordered 4 pairs of kids shoes and I got exactly what I ordered, and am happy with the shoes I purchased. My order was correct, shoes are good quality and shipping was rather quick. The customer service through email was also good to my personal experience.

So if your looking for sporting goods, labelled name shoes, clothing etc. I Believe this website is fine. I do believe they can raise their standard higher on their websites and customer service such as perhaps more information on shipping, and having an office base for customer service with a call centre rather then just email that would definitely gain much more trust with their customers but to my personal experience I think this site is good and decently priced and I am happy with my experience.

Please note i hadn't posted the above as thought it best to wait for delivery . Took 9 days from Uk to Victoria , the goods got stuck at Dandenong for 3 days but arrived today and all is/are good . So would of been 6 or 7 days postage but was 9 which is still ok .

All the goods are in excellent condition and the prices were amazing 1 x 500 dollar zone 3 wetsuit really worth 200-300 ish but marked down to $127 , neoprene cap at 24 and gloves at $ 18.00 plus delivery of $42 . Paid with paypal just in case of dramas but there were none and an excellent service at an excellent price so off to swim tonight to see if these things work .lol Would of been nicer if packed in a cardboard box like most wetsuits as they are delicate but no harm done . cheers

Not sure where the problem was. Whether it was with Sports Direct or their chosen courier which was Evri international in this case. Sports Direct finally notified me that the parcel was lost by the courier.

Cancellation policy is absolutely bogus. I have 2 major issues with this business. Firstly, despite the wording on the website, this is a UK based business, shipping from the UK. Nowhere on the "Sports Direct Australia" website does it indicate that items are shipped from overseas. Pack of scammers. Received half my order. After getting through to their “service” got told I’d be refunded for the other half ($130) and they just closed the matter off and didn’t refund me. Contact service again and they start me at square zero. Absolutely avoid. Not Australia based either. Every person is foreign with extremely poor English in email correspondence.

If you're expecting a refund from this website, don't. I provided everything they asked for: carrier confirmation of the return, their own email confirming the order cancellation, and yet - they still claim they haven't received the items back. Worst service and most idiotic reps treating customers with arrogance, they are from another planet. I purchased 4 identical items from them and 1 is clearly smaller than the other 3 items, but labelled as same size, they won't do anything about it even after I sent them photos to show the size difference, i will file thru PayPal. It is not worth the trouble to deal with them.

I have placed 2 recent orders for running shoes/trainers with no issues. Quality of runners was good and no sizing problems. I would say that Reebok runners tend to be on the bigger side so I always order a half size smaller with them. I have purchased Reebok, Under Armour, Adidas, Kappa, Nike and Slazenger. Wrong item delivered, but that can happened, but customer service non-existent. Try to contact them over the past 3 weeks, did send several emails and received only 1 answer, I promptly responded and then nothing. nobody got back to me yet, still waiting.

Really bad experience with sports direct don’t buy from them they don’t respond to emails took our order 10 days to be even processed. I requested it to be cancelled so then they processed and shipped it. They’re not an Australian company so don’t be tricked. It’ll take ages for your order to even arrive.

Cost to ship when ordering $10.99 and they state returns are the same on their website until you go to return $52! And that was to an address in Australia!!!
