Don’t waste your money! – The Biggest SCAM! Couldn’t get ahold of any trainers, they don’t respond to emails. Couldn’t complete course as no communication whatsoever. It’s been 4 years and they are STILL msging my mobile and emailing me claiming I owe them over $2500! It’s funny how they can send emails stating what I owe but not respond when I was emailing them. Do not recommend!

Worst decision of my life – SpotED started off promising back in 2020. The course however was terrible. An unnecessary amount of information overload, repetitive & lots of grammatical errors. Hard to no contact anyone except for via email. In which they respond whenever they deem fit. They charged an extra $800+ on top of the agreed price, which we luckily got refunded.… Read more

However, system errors of such an amount shouldn’t occur. They did also give a 6 month extension - thankfully but response time from tutors can be super long.

Do not waste your time and money.

block them. Their phone number doesn’t connect, their email doesn’t work, there is no way to contact them. Absolutely worst decision of my life. I’m pretty sure they shut down and went MIA. They should be sued. I don’t even know what happened… I don’t even know what to do because they SMS me 1-2 times a week and it drives me insane even though I have paid the full amount. DO NOT waste your time.

wanting to completely stop the payments and withdraw from the course and I was told by the representative that I was required to pay the full amount whether or not I continue my course or cancel. After I spoke to this representative they sent me my contract through email. ( they are not government recognised!!! )

Disappointed is an understatement – I found the material of my course very good but the communication absolutely terrible. SCAM ALERT – Spoted are not a Registered Training Organisation and are not Nationally accredited. You receive no certificate on completion, they just take your money. They do not return calls or emails and continue to take money. Nothing but a scam

Please do not use this company – I enrolled for a course, did not receive anything from them and did not use their services. They continued to debit my account and would not cancel the direct debit. Have tried enlisting with a debt collection provider and is now listed with AFCA. I do not under any circumstances recommend using this company.

Scammers. Only want your money, don’t be fooled – Don’t ever do a course with Spot Ed. You have two days to pick your course and when you want to back out they just take your money. time, I didn’t know any better so I went ahead and signed up. The content was absolutely terrible, the information in the course was something I could of found off google. I would not recommend SPOT ED to anyone!! When I attempted to get in contact with them, I could never get through. I would send emails as told by the voicemail they had. My emails were NEVER responded to nor did I ever receive calls back. The tutors are very unprofessional as well as the company. This course did not give me the knowledge or qualification to be able find a job. So that was $3,500 down the drain.. a very hard lesson for an 18 year old, just trying to do her best and help herself and others. So disappointing! Fast forward 2 years and I am still paying off the course… Please do not sign up for a course with this company, you will be extremely let down. There is no support and you can not leave the course under any circumstances after the “cooling off” period is finished. This course is not beneficial in any way, shape or form. This company needs to be shut down.

Worthless – I saw the ad on Facebook for a course and I’m a single mum and was hoping to be able to provide my son with a better life so I thought I would do it as they had a payment plan and I am still paying it off years later unfortunately I got nothing in return. I wish I had read the reviews first before doing this, I feel stupid and ripped off.

very disappointed & angry students. A rating of one star - only because it is compulsory to share a comment or review - is a joke really. It should be minus 5.. at best! In my own case, I was curious about a course that SpotEd was offering in 2019. I agreed to take the course. However, 5-10 days later I realised I really couldn't afford it at the time as I was living on Newstart Allowance, so I informed SpotEd that I would not be taking the course after all. The cost of the course was $3,300. I was told the "cooling off" period had already expired & I was now obligated to pay for the course. Obviously, I protested this demand as I hadn't received ANY educational materials electronically or in hard copy format at all & I had zero tutoring or instruction from a teacher/tutor. I refused to pay the $3,300 for the course. To this day 3 years later I still have not even spoken to a tutor & have never received a module or any educational materials or tutorial service from SpotEd whatsoever. However, back in 2019 someone from SpotEd did manage to convince me to pay 10% of the course costs so I could get myself free of the full cost of the course. From memory I believe I agreed to pay 5 payments of $60 & 1 payment of $30 - for a total of $330 - via direct debit from my bank account each fortnight. This left a bitter taste in my mouth because I felt like I had been conned & really duped into paying $330 for literally nothing, so I decided to make sure I took my money out of the bank account each fortnight that SpotEd intended withdrawing funds from - & they have been sending text messages every 2 weeks or so to my phone telling me to make sure I have enough funds in my account - so they can make their withdrawals, obviously. Recently SpotEd has stepped up their campaign to "recover" money from me & they have a debt recovery company called ARMA Group, I believe, chasing me for the full $3,300 they are demanding. I realise I didn't follow through with the agreement between SpotEd & myself to pay the agreed 10% of the course costs - & this is not a usual practice from myself - but it just seemed unfair & ridiculous. I felt I had been backed into a corner & was being ripped off. And let's face it, this activity on the part of SpotEd is nothing short of extortion! It seems to me to be criminal! Would you agree? However, if an independent person or organisation can give me well-informed advice of my legal obligations & If I AM obliged to pay this amount, (the $330/10% of the course cost) I would pay it as per agreement between SpotEd & myself - although begrudgingly - if it is a legal requirement & to be fair about this unfortunate situation. I definitely don't want my credit rating negatively affected by this ridiculous predicament I have found myself in because of these chalatans. SpotEd are thieves, it seems to me. They are dishonest & show no integrity at all. It seems evident that they are scammers. How can anyone be held to pay $3,300 for a course they never did & never received any tutoring or educational materials for? I know many others of you are even worse off, having paid for services & materials that you have only partially received or not received at all! Certainly, I would never have dealings with, nor recommend anyone else to take on an educational course or any agreement with SpotEd - EVER! If anyone has any advice on how I should best handle this predicament with Spot Ed, your suggestions will be most appreciated. Alternatively, if we can join forces to get something done to free us from these charlatans, I am sure that plenty of us are open to suggestions. Thank you for reading. TOTAL SCAM – I just received an email today from a debt collector asking me to pay an amount that I know I shouldn't be even owing! I am really furious right now as you are a total scam! I thought calling commonwealth bank and making your auto-debit stop would fix this issue unfortunately no! I even searched your name if you guys are accredited under CRICOS, but you're not. I didn't know Australia would have something like this! what a shame!

Take your money – Never got contact by any facility and when I called it was some young person that didn’t know what they were doing. Wasn’t happy and wanted to with drawl but they told me I had to still pay the money. Paid over 3,000 in fees for nothing.

Don't get caught out – Was charged for the course eventhough I only enrolled and didn't submit a thing as I found it unsatisfactory for the study I wanted to do. The content of what I previwed to be too superficial. Even granting me with a default on my credit rating to add insult to injury.

Disgusting – For the last few months of back and forth with consumer affairs and Dye & Co (company in charge of SPOTED during their administration period), they have updated me that SPOTED are no longer under admission. Since this, they have ignored my calls, not replied to several emails and won't refund my course fees as my course won't be completed and recognized. Avoid this company at all costs!!

stuck in a payment plan that I cannot get out of, despite not having signed or commit to any legal agreement. Looking back, I think the course is overly priced for a non accredited course which I was not made aware at the time. There are plenty of free and reasonable priced resources to upskill yourself with these days, so don't waste your time on this one!

it.. so i rang fair trading Australia and consumer affairs and they said to email them stating i have spoken to them and i am requesting a full refund within 7 days otherwise they will be opening up an investigation. Also to make sure i state they lied and sold me a product that was untrue to what they told me they were selling me. So remember to state that if you were told its nationally recognised when it is NOT... get it all in emails so you have a paper trail for consumer affairs.. if you signed up to the payment plan you will need proof from spotEd saying they agree to cancel so you can forward through to company that they use for the payment plan. From memory they did use a company called "payright".. good luck its a lot of effort and phone calls to different places but i was lucky and got out of the payment plan so was totally worth it.. if you cancel you bank card or account you will just end up with a bad credit rating from the 3rd party company they use to set you up on the payment plan..

contact the problem that I hope they can help me with is simply too much for them to be able to sort out, so therefore just keeps staying unresolved. Finally got issues sorted out after weeks and months of hassling and continued on with my course, but needed to make contact again for more issues. That was approx 3-4 months ago now and I have lost count of how many times I have rung the number (same number as always) and now have been saying "due to technical difficulties this number cannot be connected".. I have sent multiple emails on a regular basis and still no replies. Im so bloody mad.. I am now wondering if they have gone "under". This is nonsense and I'm soooo annoyed..

Oh No! – I have only just discovered what happened after reading these reviews! That explains why the company that was looking after their accounts has not received any payments (for my account at least) since June this year even though I was making payments every week. I'm so disappointed.

rang my bank to stop the payments. I haven't received any email or any communications to inform me they have gone into receivership. I hope these people get their just deserves for scamming innocent people who are trying to get a skill to their career path.

What a complete waste of money – I’ve just found out they have scammed so many people! I was trying to contact them today, all emails were sent back undelivered, all phone numbers were disconnected, now I know why! I’ve contacted my bank to stop any further payments going to them. Relieved and satisfied – I wanted to change my previous review as since SpotEd has changed hands I have nothing but good things to mention … my assignments have now been assessed, my completion certificate sent and fast and effective correspondence. Very thankful and appreciative!!
