my original Apple iPhone battery was damaged and needed to be replaced. Once replaced I had less than 3 hours charge all up daily. The staff are also trained to upsell and offer the "best discounted price" and yet your phone is far less effective than before. Coincidentally when I was debating this face to face with one of their completely non-customer focused staff members another gentleman came in suggesting his battery life was significantly drained and draining after having a recent repair done on the back of his iPhone. My advice is to give these guys a miss, but if you do utilise their "services" (sarcastically) keep all warranties (ask for emailed copies) and copies of all payment transactions. The consumer watchdog should pay particular interest...Star Phones stores and staff are consistently ripping the average consumer off and crying foul when complaints are voiced. After returning home and comparing prices, I found the identical Hanman case widely available at significantly lower prices online and in other stores. Comparable (and in some cases branded) screen protectors were also retailing for substantially less. I returned to the store the following day to request a refund and was told to contact head office. I did so in writing (twice) and received no response. When I phoned to follow up, I was told they could charge whatever they liked.

Sharing this so others can make an informed decision. I strongly urge that you CHECK COMPARATIVE PRICING before purchasing from this business. if I could have given them a Zero rating, I would have.

*Extremely dishonest do not use* - Star Phones world square botched a very basic android screen replacement. and once we gave it to her she put it in her pocket and became extremely hostile, refusing to return our phone until we paid the full price. We didnt want to pay for a faulty repair so we asked to just have the old screen back. She refused to do even this, unless we paid. The exchange was extremely hostile, and their pressure tactics of holding the phone hostage left us with a very bitter feeling about the experience. said $10 and she claimed I didn’t hear properly well I heard the price she quoted me 2x, what it an utter LIE!!! She quoted me $9 and charged me $10 instead of the quoted amount and I have the receipt as proof of this.

Now I don’t care if it’s just $1 what I was quoted is what was expect to pay no an added amount and considering we are in a cost of living crisis every $1 for consumers and you decided charge more than the quoted price.

I specifically heard her twice say it was $9 as did her colleague who was close to the counter say $9.

This is a place I would not go back to for service after this experience and I encourage people to stay clear of it if dont want to be ripped off by any amount regardless I do recommend people record the conversation.

helpful guy there solved the problem in one minute. "You've put the wrong plastic cover on. It is covering the place where the sound exits so your ear can hear it." I went back to Star in Innaloo and showed them what was wrong. Never dreamed that they would do anything other than apologise and replace with the right one. Instead the man in charge that day looked angry, said nothing. Did replace it but slowly as possible and, far from a word of apology, just scowled his way through silently. Absolute robbers. I bought a EU charger adapter and just after I paid, I realised it was $69 for something that cost $20 on Amazon. I went back within 30 seconds and said I want to return it. We were informed by a worker that the adapter we purchased would fit perfectly with our phones and if not we would receive a full refund. The adapter did not work and when we went the next day to the shop the worker refused a full refund unlike what was previously stated. Not happy with our experience at star phones

receive your refund. They ignore you and keep your money. Shop manager tried to force me to take another product I didn't want instead. Shop mangager tilted eftpos machine toward him, so I couldn’t see that another $5.50 GST was added after final price. Shop manager tried my watch with JB HiFi (Belkin) screen protector and admitted that his did not work. Very substandard products that dont do their job. had a green line down the front and then a black screen. Took the iphone back next morning and they tell me that the iphone has water damage and is going to cost me an extra $110 to get a new screen. The Indian ladies were apathetic, they just wanted more money and have damaged my iphone. anyone to seek a more reputable retailer. They might be okay for changing screens, but I will never again try to save some money by going to this sham of a business. You get what you pay for. Shoddy business. Customers come last. Avoid at all costs. Basically, I bought a charger and it was pretty expensive ($90) but it didn’t come with the actual plug and the cord. I was not told this time of purchase so when I tried to return it (unopened ) and I told them that I was not advised that I’d have to supply my own this was still deemed as a “change of mind” even though the product is not fit for purpose because without a charger and cord it doesn’t actually work. I didn’t change my mind. I wanted a charger that actually worked. So by definition this is not fit for purpose.

Terrible Store - Star Phones Hornsby – We bought an accessory from the store at Hornsby for a phone. The accessory did not fit and the store refuses to exchange or refund it. They claim we changed our mind. The staff need to learn something called manners. This store is possibly the worst mobile phone accessory store in the entire Hornsby area. Stay away from it.
